A Shocking News

He only said that before walking slowly towards the tent. "Let's talk inside," he glanced at the red eyes of Catrine while noticing how beautiful this brunette was.

"After you," Catrine moved after him while Cheryl gave Mark a deep glance and a word of advice before following the two inside.

"Don't waste your time anymore. Consider yourself lucky for him to be in a good mood today."

"…" Mark silently glanced at her. If eyes kill, then he would have burnt everyone around to ash already.

"To what honor do I owe this visit from a working mecha?" Aroon sat in the main lobby while glancing in curiosity over Catrine.

"You might not know me but I heard a lot about you," Catrine grabbed a chair and sat opposite to his table.

"Oh, I don't recall having any friends you might know," Aroon raised one eyebrow in doubt, "I don't have any friends at all."

"What about family then?" Catrine said this and the face of Aroon instantly changed.

"It's a known fact that our Aroon has no living family," Cheryl was the one to help him out of this bitter answer. "All his family members were killed at the hands of the monsters, just like most of our families as well."

"Who said that?" Catrine slowly said while her face kept a calm expression.

"The federation said," Aroon's tone seemed a bit both of anger and impatience. "I don't believe you came all the way here to pay your tribute for them, right?"

She gave him a long silent glance while she seemed a bit hesitant. "Aria and Aranda," she slowly said, "they were your sisters, right?"

"Better not to bring up such matters again," Aroon became instantly hostile when he heard the names of his fallen sisters.

"I had to," yet Catrine seemed more stubborn than him, "and from your reaction I can guess they haven't reached here yet."

"If I were you," Aroon even stood up from his chair while hitting the table with his two closed fists. The surface of the simple metallic table couldn't tolerate his strength and two rounded indentations appeared there. "I would choose my next words wisely."

"They aren't dead."

"Nonsense!" Aroon couldn't take it anymore as he shouted in a very nervous way.

"Did you see their corpses?" Catrine wasn't fazed by his anger and kept speaking, "I lived with them for a year. Ate, slept, played, and trained together. For me they are my sisters, ones that I… cherish most."

"Liar!" Aroon waved his hand and the next moment the table went flying to hit the nearby tables in a loud bang. "What do you really want?" he moved to stop just a few inches away from her while his face was almost above hers.

"Let me tell you… a story," Catrine slowly said while starting to feel a little nervous. Her hand moved to grab her suitcase but she didn't do anything.

Aroon glanced at her hand holding the case while Cheryl said in distressing tone:

"I think we should hear her first."

"Then what?" Aroon shouted at her, "She is talking about my two pearls like she knew them…" he moved his eyes again to fall over Catrine's, "but as far as I'm concerned, my two beloved never had such a friend."

"Hearing me out won't hurt," Catrine said before hurriedly adding when she noticed the bulging veins in Aroon's neck, "at least not too much."

"I think we should hear what she has to say," Cheryl stood to Catrine's side, "she came all the way here and she must have a good reason other than pissing you off."

She even came to his side, gently touching his arms while taking him back to his seat. He sat there weakly while his eyes told Cheryl how much devastated and depressed he was.

And Catrine didn't wait any longer before speaking up as she said:

"Have you ever heard of the federation academy?"

Aroon gave her a silent glance before slowly nodding.

"After you… fell and lost your twin brothers, the federation came and abducted your two sisters."

"Lies," Aroon couldn't accept her words but she totally ignored him.

"Marshal Anderson, that's the name of the bastard who invented this all."

"Invented what?" Cheryl said before Aroon would explode up again.

"The idea of using the young twins in military combats against monsters," Catrine slowly said, "the future seeds of the stelsels, that's what he called… them."

"The federation rules can't allow for any young recruits," Cheryl kept talking with her while her hand was still over Aroon's as she grabbed a chair and sat beside him.

"There are twins in the age of six and seven only in that cursed academy," Catrine's tone carried a lot of hate.

"How can this be?" Cheryl asked, "the law doesn't allow anyone to do that."

"The law doesn't actually mean anything at time of apocalypse," Catrine cut her words before adding, "and that gave them the right to abduct any twins hailing from a fallen family."

Aroon glared at her with a burning look but she still kept speaking.

"Like many others, once you were considered a fallen they took your two sisters and told you the lie of losing them."

"This isn't true," Aroon gritted his teeth while saying every word, "I've seen the footage! They were killed by those damned monsters!"

"You saw theirs, then why don't you see mine?" Catrine touched her wristband device where a holographic image appeared.

The device emitted cone shaped faint silver rays that reached a couple of meters above her head. At first nothing happened but she pressed on something and then an image appeared.

"Hello big brother," a sweet voice of a ten years old girl came out from the recording while two innocent identical faces appeared.

"How can this be possible?!!!" The shock of Aroon was so deep that he unintentionally stood up from his place while gazing up at the familiar faces of his sisters.

"It seems like ages passed since the last time we saw… you…" one sister said while her eyes turned slightly red.

"We don't have much time, so I hope this recording will be seen by the four of us. If not then that means we are nearby somewhere," the other sister said.

"Big sister Catrine has something that can help in detecting our current location. So please trust her as she helped us a lot and saved us from many hardships," the first sister added before the two of them waved their hands at him.

"See you soon big brother."

Then the screen turned dark before the hologram ended. The two girls around kept their silence while Aroon stood fixedly in his place with lost eyes.

Then his body crashed over the chair, before muttering:

"They… are alive?" he turned his head towards Catrine who simply nodded.

"They told me… They lied!" he clenched his fists while feeling a storm of unparalleled rage swirling inside his body.

At this moment his mind only retrieved what he was told and the scenes he saw before.

"I told you," Catrine carefully said, "they grabbed them and hid them alongside many twins in one facitily they called the academy."

"How can they do that?" Cheryl said in shock while Aroon had tears flowing down his eyes.

"What matters now isn't why, but to find them," Catrine slowly said, "after all our escape from the academy wasn't that easy. I believe they are hunted and need our help."

"They said…" Aroon swept his tears fast before adding, "they mentioned you can track them down, right?"

"I have this," she took out a device from her bracelet, "this can help in locating them. However, I need something from you to find them."
