A Tough Call!

Aroon's cold words and his dominating sword stopped Eva from moving.

However the next moment he heard the clicking sound of these cannons getting ready to fire.

"Try, and you will die here before even hurting a single hair of me,"' Eva said in a vicious tone.

However Aroon felt how afraid and hesitant she was. Her tone came shaky like she was terrified to be this near to him.

"At least I won't fall alone," Aroon didn't push his sword away and instead he raised the blade slightly upwards.

And her chin moved higher while she had to stand on her toes to prevent her neck from getting wounded.

"Just let me go," Aroon couldn't help but ask nicely, "why should we raise our weapons to each other? We are, after all, on the same side here."

"No one is on your side," however Eva said in such an arrogant way, "one way or another you will die and be thrown to that thing inside to eat you."
