CHAPTER 13

ACT 61

Yabiny packed up the plates and was headed to the kitchen. Suddenly 2 girls stood in front of her.

Maid 1 - Look Yabiny or whatever you are called. We have been noticing you are being a little too close to the Prince. We know what you are trying to do. You think you can get the Prince's love all for yourself. Ever since you came to this palace the Prince doesn't even look at the other maids. Any way be warned. Stay away from him.

Yabiny just eyed them and smirked.

Yabiny - And how is that my concern? Is it my fault he picked me as his favourite? Is it now my fault you and the others can't do your job correctly?

She hissed, pushed them away and passed.

Maid 2 - See this small rat. Doesn't she know we senior her in this position.

Maid 1 - She will soon learn. Let's go.

ACT 62

The next day...

Tefon was under the mango tree. One maid was feeding him peppered bush meat and squeezed orange and mango juice. Another was fanning him. Yabiny was massaging his back.

Prince Tefon - Ah what a life. I never wish to leave this moment.

Yabiny - You deserve it my Prince.

Prince Tefon - Yes. What makes me even happier is the prize for the Royal hunt tomorrow. I will inherit a white bracelet of power. When I inherit it I can make anyone do as I command. But it's just a person at a time but with the right knowledge it can be used to gain unlimited knowledge.

Yabiny - (This bracelet is incredible... If I can get it and present it to my people I'll be very honoured. I might even get to keep it as a reward. I just have to wait for him to get it.) My Prince I'm very sure you will get it by the goddess will.

Prince Tefon - On Yabiny you always know what to say to make me happy.

Yabiny - My Prince, I promise to dance specially for you after the hunt to celebrate your victory.

Prince Tefon - Very well I look forward to it. Enough. You all are excused.

The 3 maids - Yes my Prince.

5 minutes later...

When they reached the servants huts the other two girls faced Yabiny and hit her.

Yabiny - Are you mad? How dare you things touch me?

Maid 1 - We warned you to stay away from Prince Tefon. Ever since you showed up he doesn't look at other maidens in this palace.

Maid 2 - Be warned Stay away from him or regret it. Dirty, smelling thing.

They both walked away. Yabiny glared at them.

Yabiny - Time to teach those girls a lesson.

ACT 63

The next day...

Yabiny was fanning the Prince as he relaxed under the tree he always does.

Prince Tefon - Ah I can't wait for the hunt tomorrow. I can't wait to get the Grand prize.

Yabiny - I'm sure you will win my Prince. (You better win. You lazy sack of potatoes.)

Prince Tefon - I'm sure you would like to know what the prize is and I'll let you know. It's a power white bracelet.

Yabiny - Wow my Prince. I'm sure you will look handsome as you wear it at the Grand feast.

Prince Tefon - Of course. And it's not just any white bracelet. It's a powerful one. In our family history it's given to the Prince or Princess who gets the best kill in the Royal hunt. Which will be me.

Yabiny - Of course my lord by the goddess wish.

Prince Tefon - Yes. The bracelet makes whoever wore it be able to pry nothing but the truth from anybody. But it does cause the person terrible pain. The pain could kill. That is what Blue empire used to pry the truth out of our enemies.

Yabiny - Wow. (This bracelet is amazing. If I get it for the black empire I'll be celebrated. I have to get it. But first I'll have to find it. Then plan on how to get it.)

ACT 64

That evening...

Yabiny snuck out of the servants huts. She looked around to make sure nobody saw her. She tiptoed towards the palace treasury.

Yabiny - It should be were they keep the palace riches.

But as she got to the place, she saw 6 armed guards had surrounded the place and were wide awake. Yabiny was frustrated.

Yabiny - (I can't get it now. I have to wait till after the hunt. Let me hurry back.)

As she turned around she saw Prince Kydin was headed her direction. Kydin had spotted someone in the shadows and wanted to see who it was.

Prince Kydin - Hey! Who is that person there? Come out!

Yabiny ran off and hid behind a giant pot.

Prince Kydin - You guards search the area I just saw someone by the treasury.

The 2 guards searched but didn't find anyone. After like an hour she came out and ran back to the servants hut. As she entered her room she breathed a sigh of relief.

Yabiny - (That was close. If I was caught I would have be done for. Prince Kydin may already be suspicious of me. Better just leave the bracelet and get information like I was instructed to. Ah... that was too close. I can't go to the Dark forest to report today. Prince Kydin has already alerted the guards of suspicious movement in the palace. I better lay low and get some rest.)

ACT 65

The next day...

It was the day of the hunt. It was very early, before dawn. Servants were sweeping, cleaning and cooking. Other Blue Royals were arriving at the Blue Empire palace. Guards were everywhere. Both around and inside the palace. Beautiful decorated mats were used to decorate the palace grounds. Different aromas of different dishes filled the palace air.

Meanwhile in the forest...

Kydin and Tefon were holding their local guns and had set traps in the forest for bush meat. They were accompanied by 10 able bodied warriors who were armed with spears and cutlasses.

The Princes had bows and arrows which were set. They had been chasing a particular antelope for the past hour. But whenever Kydin was about to shoot it down. Tefon would unintentionally make noise and scare it away. Kydin was frustrated.

Prince Kydin - Tefon! What is your problem anyway? Why do you keep scaring away the antelope? We are supposed to be quiet.

Prince Tefon - Sorry. I'm tired sef. I'm going back home. Bye-bye.

Prince Kydin - It isn't even afternoon yet. How can you give up so easily? You are the future king. You are supposed to be patient.

Prince Tefon - Oh please. That's years from now.

Prince Kydin - And training for that starts now. You should be taking this very seriously. Grandmother would be very disappointed.

Prince Tefon - Oh please. When I am King I will have my guards hunt for me.

Prince Kydin - Exactly. And it's that kind of King that gets killed easily. Real kings don't depend on others to do things for them. They fight their own wars and hunt their own food.

Prince Tefon - Where is all this coming from?

Prince Kydin - That was the kind of King our father was and it got him killed.

Tefon became quiet. They both didn't say anything again after that.

Suddenly they heard some noises in the bushes and a lion jumped out of the bushes. The Royal guards pointed their spears at it. It was roaring angrily. Tefon was paralyzed with fear. The lion focused on him. He tried to run away but he fell down and the lion raised it's paw. It was about to slice his head off when Kydin shot the lion square in the paw with his gun. It roared in pain. It scratched Tefon on his cheek. It was distracted enough for the guards to quickly stab it with their spears. It was dead. The guards tied the lion to a thick, long stick and carried it.

6 hours later...

It was already noon and they hadn't caught anything. They decided to go back and check their traps. Tefon had been thinking about what Kydin had said and what had happened.

Prince Tefon - Kydin wait!

Prince Kydin - What?

Prince Tefon - I have been thinking about what you said and you are right. I have to be a stronger king. I have to improve.

Prince Kydin - I'm happy to hear that Brother. I don't want you ending up like father.

Tefon slaps his hand on his Brother shoulder.

Prince Tefon - And for saving my life, I want you by my side as I rule. We will rule together.

Prince Kydin - If that's what you want. No problem. Besides Brothers watch each others backs.

They got back to where their traps were. They both caught grass cutters but Tefon's own was two times the size of Kydin.
