CHAPTER 20

ACT 96

A week later...

Tefon and one of the maids had fully recovered. The other maid unfortunately didn't make it. The Grand Queen had to compensate her grieving family. News of Prince Tefon recovery and Prince Kydin's bravery reached far and wide in the kingdom.

Kydin went to meet his brother who was resting under the mango tree.

Prince Kydin - How are you doing?

Prince Tefon - My brother I'm feeling great. Thanks for looking out for me. I won't be alive if it wasn't for you.

Prince Kydin - What are brothers for? If it isn't watching out for each other.

Prince Tefon - You are right.

Prince Kydin - I'm always right.

Prince Tefon - Sure.

They both burst into laughter. Prince Kydin was finally able to relax. Until he remembered his mother's hair beads. He got up and entered his chambers.

Prince Tefon - What is the matter?

But Kydin didn't respond. Tefon followed him. Kydin searched his bags for it but couldn't find it anywhere.

Prince Kydin - Where could it be? That is the last thing I have of mother! How could I lose it? I'm so stupid.

Prince Tefon - What are you looking for?

Prince Kydin - Mother's hair beads. I can't find them. Grandmother will kill me.

Prince Tefon - Nah. She'll forgive you. I mean you saved my life.

Prince Kydin - This isn't funny! I'm sure it's that stupid Red boy who took it. I remember him grabbing my hand.

Prince Tefon - Who?

Prince Kydin - Never Mind.

Prince Tefon - Let's just hope Grand mother doesn't ask for them.

Prince Kydin - Let's hope.

ACT 97

Meanwhile in Khana Village...

Reolita was picking beans in front of her hut. Collet snuck up behind Reolita and covered her eyes.

Reolita - Collet I know it is you.

He removed his hand. She looked at him and he smirked.

Reolita - What are you doing here? My Father could see you!

Collet - Don't worry. I brought you this Hair bead.

Reolita - Oh it's beautiful.

Collet - Try it on .

Reolita - OK.

She put it on. It looked beautiful. She kissed Collet on the cheek and he smirked at her.

Unknown to them to one of the hair bead turned Red in colour from blue.

Collet - It looks beautiful on you. I have to go. See you later.

Reolita - Bye.

He left in a hurry. Diablo came out of the hut. He yawned and stretched.

Diablo - Sister Reolita, who are you talking to?

Reolita - No one.

Diablo - But I heard a boy talking.

Reolita - You just woke up and must be hearing things.

Diablo - I want to drink water.

Reolita - Oyah let's go inside and get water for you.

The entered the hut.

ACT 98

Meanwhile in The Dark Empire...

Dejjo and Yabiny were inside Dejjo's room. They were sitting on the floor having a discussion.

Prince Dejjo - Yabiny I have decided to sneak to the surface. It will only be for a few minutes. I really want to see how it looks up there. Will you help me?

Yabiny - Of course. I mean we are friends.

Prince Dejjo - So how do we leave with nobody noticing? There are only 6 major exits and at least 6 guards at each. And they only allow anyone to leave if they have a permit mark by the King and Queen.

Yabiny - And mine is gone. But I have an idea. What if we don't use a main exit.

Prince Dejjo - What do you mean by that?

Yabiny - I'm mean that we could use an abandoned exit. I know where one is. I once read in an ancient scroll that the Dark Empire originally planned to have 10 exits. But they later decided to have six exits instead. But by the time they had made that decision there were already seven exits made. So they blocked the last one. I checked it out and saw that it was blocked with a giant rock from the surface. And if we can move it we will be directly at the surface.

Prince Dejjo - How do you expect us to move a giant rock?

Yabiny - With a power white bracelet of course. A white power bracelet of Strength.

Prince Dejjo - You mean like my mother's own?

Yabiny - Exactly. You have to get that bracelet. Do you know where she keeps it?

Prince Dejjo - She has a purse where she keeps important stuff. It should be there.

Yabiny - Good. You will go into her room and get it. I will wait for you by the kitchen.

Prince Dejjo - OK.

They both went to their respective places. Dejjo entered his mother's room and saw she was absent. He quickly pulls out a bag from under her bed. He sees various scrolls, white bracelets, jewelry and money. After a few minutes of checking he saw the white bracelet he was looking for. He hid it, put the bag back and left the room. He headed for the kitchen. He and Yabiny went to the abandoned exit.

Yabiny - Do you have it?

Prince Dejjo - Here it is.

Yabiny - Good. You'll lift the rock. But do it gently so no one will notice.

Prince Dejjo - OK.

Dejjo wore the bracelet. He was very excited.

They cleared away abandoned items blocking the way. They got to the rock blocking the way. Dejjo lifted the rock. He expected it to be heavy but it was like lifting an apple when it should be like lifting an elephant.

ACT 99

He and Yabiny came out of the floor of the forest and dropped the rock. He looked around and was amazed. The trees were huge and thick fog covered the sky. But sunlight still radiated through and everywhere had a lovely, peaceful green look. He looked around and saw shrubs, moss and flowers all over the place. He inhaled fresh air and it felt good. Yabiny was also amazed.

Yabiny - Everywhere is so beautiful. I haven't seen this part of the forest before.

Prince Dejjo - Yeah.

He was so mesmerized by it all.

Yabiny - Let's quickly check it out before we go back.

Prince Dejjo - Sure. Look at this.

He pointed to a squirrel.

Prince Dejjo - What is it?

Yabiny - Looks like a rat but with a bushier tail.

They both kept on exploring the forest but unknown to them a strange white beast was watching them.

After about 10 minutes later...

They were both sitting on the ground and were playing with plants.

Prince Dejjo - We should get back soon.

Yabiny - Yeah. But maybe we will sneak out again soon.

Prince Dejjo - Sure. Maybe. Let's go back.

They stood up to leave when they heard some rustling in the bushes.

Yabiny - What is that? I heard something.

Prince Dejjo - I don't know but let's hurry back.

As soon as he said that a horrible looking creature came out. It was a white, two-headed leopard with 3 tails. It had terrible looking long teeth and claws. And it looked hungry! Yabiny and Dejjo screamed and started running away but the beast started chasing after them. Yabiny and Dejjo began screaming for help. Dejjo was terrified and didn't look at where he was running to. He tripped on a tree root. He began to tremble. Yabiny saw he was not following her. She looked back at him and saw him on the floor trembling.

Yabiny - Dejjo! Stand up! Run!

The beast was about to pounce on him when someone grabbed him out of the way. Suddenly all around about 20 arrows shot into the beast killing it instantly.

ACT 100

Dejjo realized he was not being attacked or torn apart. He looked around and saw Yabiny with fear on her face. He saw his mother, 3 brothers, Ebon and several other Darks holding bows and arrows. He saw the dead beast with arrows shooting out of its back. He knew he was in massive trouble. He looked up at who saved him and saw his Father's furious face looking down at him. He jumped back in shock and fear. He saw a large bloody gash on his father's arm.

Prince Dejjo - Father...I'm... I'm sorry...

His apology only increased King Zanji's anger.

King Zanji - You are sorry? You are sorry?! Do you know you could have been killed! I almost lost my arm because of you! Can't you just follow simple orders. Stay in the kingdom till I say you are ready. If I wasn't here to save you, you will be in the belly of that!

King Zanji pointed to the dead beast. Dejjo looked very scared and ashamed.

Queen Feteria - Honey take it easy...

King Zanji - No. This boy has been nothing but bad luck! He has no powers, he isn't doing well in training! He is just being stupid and useless! Wherever he goes he causes trouble that I have to fix! I'm sick and tired of him.

Dejjo was crying.

Prince Dejjo - Father I'm sorry...

King Zanji - Be Quiet! Why can't you become better? Why can't you just be like your brothers? Why can't you just be a normal child! Dejjo for once become useful!

His father's words broke something in his heart and he felt numb. Queen Feteria became angry at her husband and hugged Dejjo close.

Queen Feteria - Zanji! How can you say such things to our son?!

King Zanji - Well I'm not lying! Look at his older brothers! They are Perfect! Why can't he be like them?! Why can't he be normal?!

Dejjo couldn't take it anymore and ran off. Queen Feteria went after him.

Queen Feteria - Dejjo Wait! Come back!

King Zanji turned his attention to Yabiny. Yabiny flinched and yelped when he glared at her.

King Zanji - And you Yabiny. I just had a discussion with my spies and I heard that the Blue Princes are still alive. I gave you a simple task and You failed! Failed your mission! You told me you had succeeded!

Yabiny - Please... My king... let me explain!

King Zanji - Guards take her away.

Yabiny - Please My king. I beg you! Please! Give me another chance!

Two of the men grabbed her arms and dragged her away. He turned to Ebon.

King Zanji - Make sure this thing is taken care of.

Ebon - Of course, my king.
