The Li family mansion

Soon the three reached the Li family house, well let's just say it was a complete mansion. A beautiful courtyard around the mansion, filled with all kinds of flowers and different small shrubs. Old Lady Lin was very astonished to see the mansion. She was happy for her daughter to live in such a house but also sad that she did not care about Lixue even a bit.

On the other hand Lixue did not express even an ounce of emotion after seeing the house. Soon a middle-aged women came out running from the house to greet Wanqi but was shocked to see Old Lady Lin and another girl with her. " Madam Li, welcome back. Let me help you to take the luggage inside." Wanqi nodded at her," Aunt Zhang" She said. "This is my mother and this is my elder daughter, Lixue" She said introducing each other. " Oh so it's Old Lady Lin, Hello Old Lady. I'm Aunt Zhang , the housekeeper of the Li family. Nice to meet you" She said completely ignoring Lixue.

Wanqi quickly nudged all of them inside so as to relax inside. After getting in Old Lady Lin was once again surprised to see the interior of the house. It was all beyond her imagination. She looked at Xue'er to see if she was sad or not but found out that she was indifferent to everything. She sighed. They all sat inside and Aunt Zhang served tea to them.

After a small talk Wanqi took both of them to the floor upstairs to show them their rooms. They passed a room in which a Chinese zither was kept. Lixue stopped to see it. Aunt Zhang snorted and said "It is the Young Miss's Zither practice room. Her father spent a lot of money to make this room. You should not go inside ever so as to not break anything"

Lixue turned a blind eye to her and followed her grandma inside a room. Wanqi told her that this room was for her. She looked up see the room and hummed in response. After her mother, grandma and aunt zhang left the room, she opened her phone to see 99+ messages from Ji Nuan.

Lixue went the messages lazily and closed the chat.

Then she made a call to someone "Is the deal still open?"

..?: " Of course my dear. You just need to come to head quarters to meet the others"

Lixue usually used a voice changer to take calls so that nobody recognizes her. She was very careful in hiding herself from people. Atleast that was what she thought.

She heard a knocking on the door and heard Aunt Zhang say that the Master Li and Young Master Li are home. She opened the door and came out with her phone in hand. She walked down the stair in a lazy manner.

While walking down the stairs she she saw that there was a middle aged man around 40-50 years sitting on the sofa talking to her grandmother and mother and there was a young man sitting on another sofa in front of them. He was busy on his phone.

Downstairs in the living room Li Tangfei and Li Junli came back from work when they heard from Aunty Zhang that Wanqi had brought Old Lady Lin and her eldest daughter back. Tangfei had heard earlier about this elder daughter and knew that she had friends with some brats and always skipped school. She was never good at studies and was always roamed around with a guy named Nam Mufeng. He was very well known in every school for his bullying. Therefore he had no intention of thinking about this eldest daughter.

On the other hand he had investigated Lin Wanqi before they got married to know about her background so that she doesn't turn out to be threat to their family. Thankfully her background was very clean without single dirt except for the fact that she was once married and had 2 daughters out of which one was extremely intelligent and talented whom he even did not hesitate to take in as a step- daughter, named Jin Weiwei.

He made his mind to get the treatment done for Old LadyLin. After all even after getting married he never went back to meet her so he felt obliged to care for the old lady. He told his son, Junli to make preparations to get the old lady admitted to the fifth hospital in Louyang. " There is a dean who knows me so it will not be problem at all and you will be able to get the treatment done too." He told the Old Lady Lin.

Junli who was busy on his phone and others sitting in the room heard the footsteps and looked up to the stairs. They saw a thin-looking girl with slender long legs and a jade like beautiful face coming down the stairs. Her eyes were down and and her expression lazy and unclear.

Li Junli was stunned to see her. But he quickly covered his expression. LIxue came down and greeted Li Tangfei with a calm expression. " Uncle Li, Hello." Li Tangfei greeted her back, " Lixue right? Hello! How are you? Are you alright here?"

" Yes, Uncle Li' Xue'er was very smart and did not call Li Tangfei as dad or stepdad or smthng. Tjen she sat down of the sofa at a distance from Junli and started playing with her phone completely ignoring him.

She sent a message back to Ji Nuan : [ Shoot]

A reply came back immediately [ Thank you Great God. bowing down.emoji]

She closed her phone and lazily slouched on the sofa.
