The Real Leader Of Bulletproof (4)

After 5 minutes, Naeun was sure that Suzy would have been done with her job. She peeked out the window and saw her soon-to-be husband walking towards the mansion. It was time for her to depart.

She headed towards the door and stopped. Turning back she grabbed a red lipstick and went towards the mirror. Naeun wrote a distinguished "Get Lost!" on the glass. She was now ready to go.

This is what happens if you mess with me, Little Mackie.

She smirked and seeing nobody outside the door quickly departed before the not-so-soon-to-be fiance could appear.

2 to 3 minutes later, the so-called fiance entered the room to find the bride missing! All the designers and housemaids started searching madly but no sign of Naeun was left. The man spotted the writing on the mirror and started clapping his hands as if he was impressed.

"Ha, I like it! She's fierce. I like the confidence, ha!"

Meanwhile, Naeun had successfully escaped the mansion without any attention or problems. Presently she was walking down the empty, silent road along with the heavy gown she was wearing. Spotting a bench nearby, Naeun went and slumped down on it, closing her eyes. When she opened them, the stars were shining in the night sky.

The distance between you and me is just like these stars...

Naeun shook her head. The depressing thoughts were gaining control of her mind and she started finding all the possibilities, that what she was planning to do, was sure to go wrong.

What if my plan fails?

Her whole career could go down if anything happened to her plan. Her fake life would be ruined as the daughter of a famous politician if she got married. Judging who her step-father was, he would surely find her. Then he would drag her down the aisle if it was necessary. But if she was with Taehyun, she knew Mr. Han wouldn't be able to do anything.

Sadly, in her rush of escaping her wedding, she forgot to take her phone along with her. It had been taken away from her when she was going to get ready. She couldn't contact Lisa, Rose, Taehyun, or any person to ask for help.

I'm sure they all must be worried sick...Especially Lisa and Rose.

Taehyun? Why would he be worried for her? He was a Mafia. A heartless one at that who didn't think twice before shooting someone. He was most likely busy killing someone currently, not knowing anything about Naeun's condition.

Why do I always get my hopes up?

Naeun eyes' held the look of mixed emotions. The expression of sadness. Her plan, had of course failed as she had lost Taehyun, but that wasn't the problem. She wanted to talk to him. Naeun didn't know why but all she needed was to hear his soothing voice.

She hugged her knees and buried her face in the soft, silk fabric of her dress. She hadn't felt this sad in a long time. Suddenly Naeun heard the sound of a car approaching near her. She sank more into the fabric, not wanting to look at anything or anyone.

It'll go away on its own...

Naeun sensed the car stopping right in front of her. The door opened and footsteps were heard. They were coming her way.

You idiot! Anyone would find it weird seeing a bride crouched up on a bench looking like she was crying! Why am I such a fool?

Naeun quickly raised her head.

There he was. The guy she was least expecting but thinking about. Her target. The one she did all this for. The cause of her unwanted sadness.

Taehyun...

He squatted down onto her height and cupped her face. Naeun looked at him with a blank look but he only smiled softly. She opened her mouth to say something but found out her voice had abandoned her. Taehyun straightened up and held her hands making her stand up.

"Ah!"

Naeun hissed in pain as soon as her feet hit the hard ground. Taehyun's brows furrowed in concern. He lifted her gown and saw that she was barefoot.

Stupid me! I even forgot my shoes along with my phone!

Taehyun gazed at all the bruises her feet were injured with due to walking shoeless for so long. He wasn't good at taking care of anyone. He hadn't experienced this type of circumstance ever in his life. He was used to be taken care of but showing warmth wasn't in his vocabulary. Taehyun once again glanced at Naeun's feet and automatically his heart decided for him.

His hands went to Naeun's back and he picked her up bridal style. Naeun held on to his neck for support. Her face was flushed at the sudden action Taehyun had taken. Taehyun, himself, was astonished but decided to give a little pat to his heart for being smart.

He carried her to his car and made her sit, carefully, on to the front seat. Then he went and sat down in the drivers' position and started driving the car.

Naeun was about to ask where they were headed but stayed quiet, not having the energy to speak. She was tired, weakened after all that running and rush of events. 5 minutes later, the Bugatti La Voiture Noire, stopped outside a gazebo. Naeun's eyes widened.

What the hell?

Strings of light were hanging from the roof of the gazebo and the interior was decorated with rose petals. There was a bench in the center and a small coffee table in front of it. All types of delicious meals were placed on the counter making Naeun's mouth water.

Taehyun got out of the car and opened Naeun's door. He again carried her and made Naeun sit on the surprisingly comfortable bench. He went back to the car and took out a first-aid kit. Taehyun bent down and started bandaging her feet very cautiously as to not hurt her even for a nanosecond.

Thump, Thump, Thump.

Naeun rubbed her chest to calm her heart down from the sudden rush of emotions. This was way beyond her expectations.

After Taehyun had dressed her injuries he motioned her to eat. Naeun was confused at why he wasn't speaking but decided to go with it for the present.

Soon all the food was finished and the plates empty. Naeun heaved a sigh of content.

"Thank you." Her stomach grumbled and Naeun blushed in embarrassment.

"I won't ask what happened." Taehyun started. "I'll ask that when you're calm and relaxed. For now, let's just enjoy the view. Do you like it?"

"I love it," Naeun replied, smiling widely. "You can see all the stars and the beautiful night sky. The moon is unusually bright too."

"I've heard that many girls prefer 5-star restaurants to this type of view. But I thought you would like this much better."

Taehyun had done his research thoroughly. Having no expertise in this sort of field, he had to rely on Google and his brothers. His brothers were of no good use but Google proved to be a masterpiece for this sort of situation.

"You were right," Naeun replied. "I'm not that type."

"You're my type."

Guess he learned flirting skills from the Internet too.

"Taehyun."

"Yes? Why do you look so serious?"

"Do you like me?" Naeun finally asked. The words burst out as if they had been wanting to for a long time.
