Snap.

Emma clicked her fingers in front of Rafe's face and waved her hand. "Hey. Wake up."

Not even a blink. He stared straight ahead at the artifacts on the wall and had been since he'd placed the amulet in the center. She touched him, clenched his arm, as a matter of fact, and felt the rigid muscle as if it was locked.

"What's wrong with you?" she muttered. She pressed the back of her hand against his forehead, an age-old way of checking for a fever, only this time, the skin-to-skin contact sucked her into a vision.

A planet, much like Earth, with one large body of water with a point on each axis and rings going round and round, like a wheel in reverse meeting in the middle. The rings were made of green and ochre islands of varying size.
