This book is in the first person, mostly. And does switch perspectives.

A Better Life In a better World

The rest of the car drive was silent. Until… BOOM!! BOOM!!! BOOM!!! The tires popped.


Shadowy figures hopped around the car as the crew who was recently sleeping woke up including Sapphire once she sensed the imminent danger.


Sapphire quickly activated her power. "Guy's we're surrounded." She said with a face of loss. They all had PRs of 17 and body training. "It shouldn't be that bad right?" Raimy said.


"They're all experienced with a PR of 17." Sapphire said, accepting what was about to come.


"AAAGH!" Maly screamed, "We can't die here!!!" Sapphire smirked. "I always come prepared." She pulled her sword out from a compartment under the seat. THUD! SCREEEE! A sword cut through the top.


Sapphire stuck her sword up the place where the person was standing, stabbing through their foot. 3 other people punched through the top. "Well. Uh yeah guys this is not good. " Her power showed over 20 people.


"Hello!" The person dress in all black standing in the middle kindly waved. Then he and the others pulled everybody up by their collars. Sapphire tried stabbing them but they were wearing body armor. None of her attacks with such low momentum would. work she tried killing aura, but they just held her legs as she struggled.


Leona tried electrocuting them, but they knocked her out first before she could do anything.


Brian successfully broke the mind of the main one carrying him, but there were ten others waiting for them in a black van through the alleyway.


He was the most worn out of all of them. Raimy got his first kill. He materialized some stakes and stabbed them in the head completely mutilating his head. But then a water user came from behind him and nearly drowned him. 


Tenner made the gravity go up making it hard for him to carry Tenner but in the end he just got knocked out without his weapon.


After they were all put into the van there were rough potato sack bags put over their heads and tied so they couldn't get them off.


They caused a huge injury on each of them not enough to kill them to make sure all of their life force was gone for a long time…


 Lokust hideout, 5 days later. Sapphire's perspective.


"HUUH!" I took a large gasp of breath finally waking up to feel a tingling pain all over my body they felt like, cuts deep cuts. Everywhere. "AAAAAHGHH!!!!" I screamed, lashing in the chair with the thorned chains grinding inside of my wrists. The chair was also thorned with metal spikes. Feeling like never-ending torture. "I see you're finally awake." "AAAAGGHH!!!"


He poured a constant stream of water on my face.


I can't breathe! I can't breathe!!! STOP STOP!!! 


"Calmed down now?" Just let me go. "Good." "You're here because you toll the advisors our plan!" "So now since you have done that you get what you deserve." He laughed evilly.


Cut slice cut. cut. cut. cut. Cut. cut. cut. cut.


"I can't have you dying on me yet." He waterboarded me.
