Strategy

Sapphire...

I was excited someone was finally sharing one of my interests with me. It felt good not to be alone in something again. I thought quickly about what I wanted to do in the meantime while waiting for the rest of them to finish the rest of their spars.

I guess I'll go back to my dorm. You're automatically dismissed once you finish your assignment, but since I enjoy just chilling out for a while here after I finish my assignment, I usually just stay here. "Well, I'm going to go. See you later," I said. Standing up, my legs felt all tingly after sitting cross-legged for so long and I almost fell right over.

Theo went to catch me, but I was already standing up fine before he could. "Are you alright?" I shook y head lightly. "Yeah, I'm fine, just a little lightheaded for some seconds." He nodded and waved me off. "Bye." He said behind me, "Bye, see you later." I then went through the practically empty hallways except for a few strangers crossing past me. Every couple of minutes I want to go to sleep, but I'm afraid I won't wake up on time for the next class. No one has been late so far, so no one knows the punishment, but I bet it's not too fun.

I wonder how many laps around the course I'd have to do if I were late. Eventually walking to my room, I jumped on top of the bed and rested myself on the pillow I have. I felt like I was drifting off but I can't I've got to stay awake for the strategies class. That was more like a class than anything else we had been doing at this military school.

And war day is that thing where we all fight each other until the last couple of people are standing and then those last couple of people carry everyone back to an infirmary bed through the rain, then we get no dinner. Because that's how war is, not a guaranteed dinner or breakfast every day you fight from morning to night, then carry all of those who died or are injured to the camp and sleep without food.

Delia walked into the room and collapsed onto her bed. "You can't sleep. You'll be late." I said, turning my phone on, "I know." She said, sort of grunting less than words. She turned around, and I peeked over my bed and made eye contact with her. "Wow, you look... bad. " Delia looked like a tomato dripping with sweat that was a little green with pale skin.

"Wow, thanks a lot," Delia rolled her eyes with sass in her tone. "Sorry, ignore that comment. It was completely unneeded." "It's fine. I don't care." Putting down my phone, I relaxed and crossed my legs. Then I checked the time again, and it was time to go. Delia had fallen asleep. I groaned and woke her up, rolling off of my bed and shaking her shoulders intensely.

A line of drool trailed from her mouth to her pillow. I slightly gagged, but she woke up. Wiping off her face, Delia looked up at me wearily. "Let me sleep--" she drawled tiredly, "No it's time for strategy class!" I pulled on her arm. "Wow!" She yelped. I think I accidentally pulled her arm too hard, eh? She'll.

be fine. It's better than what she probably would do if she was late.

She woke up all the way and snapped out of it. We have roughly ten minutes to get to class. Delia stood up and started walking. I took my notebook and a pencil then walked with Delia. We had gone to the entrance of the class,
