Chapter 7: Let's Go

I looked around at the Dollar General, as I was not all too sure as to what it was that I should get at this very moment in time. I knew Zachary had said that he would be paying for it, which was a lot of the reason that I was being so selective on my choices, as I did not want to take too much of his money from him, even though I knew that he had plenty.

I also knew that he was set for life, which must be nice for him, as his did owned a company, and he already had a job lined up for there as soon as we got done for Senior year. I had been tempted to ask him for a job there, but at the same time too, I also knew that I was not the best with electric stuff, and I also did not want to seem to needy, as I was certain that I would be turned down any ways.

I let out a bit of a soft sigh all at once as well none the less, as I got up from where it was that I was sitting down on 1 knee at as well. It was quite a bit of an uncomfortable position to be in at the same time too, as I was always worried that Alexander was going to run up on me and pretend to hump me, such as he always did when ever I had my self planted low to the ground.

Every one thought that it was funny, but it was quite a bit annoying if I was not going to lie. I shook off all of those thoughts all at once as well, as I looked around me, just to make sure that I knew that Alexander was not about to walk up on me and do such a thing this time. I let out a bit of a sigh of relief all at once how ever, as I saw that Alexander was just walking with Zachary to the front, to get ready to buy the stuff that they had in their hands.

I was tempted to ask Zachary what it was that Alexander was saying to him, but at the same time too, I felt like what ever it might be was some thing that had to be private, which was a bit strange to me at the same time too, as I usually was the first person that he went to when it had to do with some thing like that any ways.

I dipped my head a bit low to the ground all at once, as I just grabbed a few bags of Doritos, as I figured that it should suffice for a day or 2 how ever long that we were going to be spending up in that place in the mountain. I sighed a bit to my self at the same time too, as I then began to walk to the front of the store where Zachary and Alexander were waiting for me.

As I walked up on them, I then saw that Alexander all of the sudden went silent for some odd reason or another, which made me tilt my head a bit, as I was not all too sure as to what it was that was going on with him at this very moment in time. He was not talking behind my back was he? That was not a normal thing for him to do, so I felt like that could not be true at all.

I still kind of felt a bit nervous, as I dipped my head a little bit low to the ground at the exact same time too, as soon as I got up close to them, as I was not all too sure as to what else I should do right now, as I was a little bit embarrassed to even be close to the both of theirs clearly private conversation that they were having with one another at this very moment in time none the less.

As soon as the 2 of them saw me do as such a thing, they then continued to whisper to each other quietly, as if I had not walked up on them in the first place either. I felt a little bit more safe at this point that Alexander was not talking shit about me behind my back, as I knew that he would not be stupid enough to do it whilst I was right beside him, surely right?

I sighed a bit heavily to my self, as I did my best to shake off all of those thoughts that I had been having at the exact same time as well, as I really did not like it when my mind got stuck on those sort of thoughts in the first place, if I was not going to lie to my self. I knew that my friends would never stab me in the back, as we had been through so much together... I was just over thinking some shit, and I just needed to get out of my head.

I gulped a little bit, as I then all of the sudden heard loud foot steps from not all too far away from us at the exact same time too, as all 3 of us turned our heads around to see just what it was that was going on. I blinked a few times none the less, as I saw just what it was that was going on in front of us at this very moment in time none the less, as I saw all of the girls huddled up close to one another, as it was clear that they were speaking on some more rumors if I had to take my best guess.

I rolled my eyes, as I let out a much softer sigh this time, as I saw that Marion was in the middle of all of it, as she then got the girls to hush them selves, as if she did not want us to hear what it was that they were saying to one another at this very moment in time either. I tilted my head, as I was a little bit lost as to just what it was that was going on at this very moment in time as well.

I hoped that they were not talking about any of us. I really doubted that to be true how ever, as I knew that the girls had high respect for each one of us either way, as it kind of was a bit of a surprise at the exact same time too, that they would have any sort of respect for me, as I was kind of the loser in the group of friends, though I suppose that my girl friend was the leader how ever, so I really should not be all that surprised about it.

I shook off those thoughts all at once how ever, as I shook my head at the exact same time too, as I let out a little bit of a soft sigh, as I saw the girls coming back with, not all that much food at all, as most of it was their 'supplies and essentials' that they thought they needed on long trip such as this one, as I saw a bunch of cords for their phones and some rechargable batteries as well.

They each also had a bag of chips, but it was clear what their minds were set on, as I rolled my eyes at the girls at the exact same time too, as I felt like they were idiots for not getting any thing more than that, as I saw that luckily, Zachary had been smart enough to get 2 packs of 24 bottles of water, as I had not even been thinking about that at all, due to the fact that I had just drank plenty of some Dr. Pepper when we had been at the McDonalds.

I let out a bit of a soft sigh to my self, as I knew that things were going to be okay, and that we all were going to be safe none the less, as much as it seemed like Alexander did not want to agree with what I was thinking, as I could tell, as I saw that he had his head down low to the ground still, and he did not say a word about any of this at all, to either me or Zachary.

Well I suppose he might have been talking to Zachary, and been trying to talk him out of it, as it was clear that they had been having a bit of a private conversation with one another not all too long ago if I remembered that correctly in fact. I let out a little bit of a soft sigh all at once how ever, as I shook my head at the exact same time too, doing my best to try to shake off all of those thoughts.

I was sure that I was the one that was over thinking all of this now, as I knew that we were going to be okay. I was sure that there would be some things that would spook the hell out of us, just like there always were when we went on trips like these, but in the end, I knew that we were all going to be fine, and we all would have a good story to tell by the end of all of it.

I smiled, as I felt a little bit better with all of those thoughts going on through my head all at the exact same time as well, as I then nodded to my self all of the sudden, and I got my focus back on what was going on in the big room of the Dollar General that I was in at this very moment in time, with the rest of the others. I look at the girls, as they had big smiles on their faces, as it seemed like to them, nothing could go wrong with this day.

I wish that I could feel the same way as they did, though I was sure that they felt like that for a much different reason than the fact that they were not afraid of what we were about to go through at all. I was sure that they were to wrapped up with the presence on social media to be paying any sort of attention to what it was that was about to be going on with them soon from now.

I shook off all of those thoughts all at once how ever, as I rolled my eyes at the girls at the exact same time too, as I then heard Zachary then begin to speak up to them at the exact same time too, as I was glad to hear some one just speak in general at this point, at least, words that I could hear, as it kind of cleared the cold air that was looming around the place all at the exact same time as well.

I saw the guy up front was kind of a bit annoyed with the fact that we all were just standing there with quite a big order for a place like Dollar General, as I did not blame the guy either at the exact same time as well. I looked over at Zachary, as I expected that he would be messing around with the guy at the exact same time too, like he usually did when he saw some one was having a bad day, as he did his best to make their day even worse for them.

It was kind of funny if I was not going to lie to my self, but at the exact same time too, I also knew that it was kind of an ass hole thing to do for a poor person that was working an 8$ an hour job with a miserable life at the exact same time too. I let out a bit of a soft sigh all at the same time as well, as I shook off all of those thoughts at the exact same time too, as I got my focus on Zachary, as he was in fact the one that was speaking right now.

I rolled my eyes a bit, as at first I thought he was talking to the man at the front, but I soon realized that he was talking to the girls that were right in front of us, as I saw him roll his eyes at them at the exact same time too, as it seemed like that he thought that what it was that they were doing was quite a bit idiotic, as I then remembered that he saw the girls just had a bunch of electronics with them.

I wanted to laugh, but I kind of felt bad for them at the exact same time too, as I now kind of wished that I had got some more food my self if I was not going to lie, though I felt like I did not want to spend to much money at the exact same time either, even if I did in fact know that Zachary had thousands in his account that he spent carelessly when ever he wanted to.

I shook my head at the exact same time as well how ever, as I did my best to try to shake off all of thos thoughts at the exact same time too, as I let out quite a bit of a soft sigh to my self. I blinked my eyes all at once none the less, as I did in fact remember that Zachary was in fact speaking up to the girls right now, as I then began to listen as to what it was that he had to say to them in the very first place any ways.

"That is really what you are bring with you?" He said to the girls, including Marion, who I knew that she was kind of like the rest of the sheep, and she loved her technology quite a bit, which was a lot of the reason that she had cheated on me in the first place at the exact same time as well, as I knew that I did not respond to her text or her calls as fast as I should be. I squinted my eyes at Marion at the exact same time too, as I had told her that I had forgiven her for it, but I really had not done so just yet, as it always seemed to come up in my head such as it was doing for me at this very moment in time as well. I let out a bit of a soft sigh, as I shook off all of those thoughts at the exact same time as well how ever, as I got my focus back on the girls at the same time too, as I saw that they were nodding in a bit of a response to Zachary, as if they did not have a clue as to what it was that he had been getting at in the first place. I was almost tempted to laugh, but at the same time too, I felt bad for them. I was sure that Zachary had some food in his trunk still like he usually did though, so I was sure that they would be fine, though it might not be want they wanted to eat. I blinked my eyes a few times all at once at the same time too how ever, as I then realized that Zachary was speaking up once again to the girls, as I lifted my head back up, and I then got my eyes locked on him, as I then began to listen as to what it was that he had to say to each one of them in the first place. "Alright... Put it on the front for this nice man..."

Zachary then turned his head to the man, as he let out a little bit of a snicker at the exact same time too, as I knew that he was trolling the man. I let out a bit of a soft sigh at the exact same time too, as I was ready for it to begin once again, such as it always did, but that was not the case at all how ever, as the man began to ring up all of our stuff, as I too put my stuff down just like I had seen the girls do.

Once I had done such a thing, I then saw that the man at the front was starting to scan the stuff, as I looked over to Zachary, expecting him to say some thing stupid, and simply such as 'you scanned that one twice', but that was not the case at all how ever, much to my surprise, as I looked over to him, as I was a little bit lost as to why he was not acting his usual self, as it was kind of freaking me out if I was not going to lie.

As I looked over at Zachary how ever, I saw that he had his eyes on some thing completely different, as he was looking right at Alexander, as it was clear that my best friend was whispering some thing in to his ear, which made me squint my eyes at him, as I had not a clue as to what it was that was going on with either one of them at this very moment in time if I was not going to lie to my self either.

It was clear that what ever it was that Alexander was telling him, it seemed to be getting in to the head of Zachary, as I saw that he had his head quite a bit low to the ground. I was a little bit lost by it, as usually when Alexander did stuff like that to him, he usually was trolling him, and he had a big smile on his face at the exact same time too. That was not the case at all this time how ever, as I saw that Alexander had quite a bit of a blank look on his face, which was much to the surprise of me none the less, as I had not a clue as to just what was going on with him right at this very moment in time.

It kind of had me a little bit worried if I was not going to lie to my self, as I had not a clue as to what it was that I should do at this very moment in time, as it was not normal for him to be acting in such a way that he was right now. I looked around to the girls to try to get a voice of support on what it was that I was thinking, but it was clear that they were too locked up on their gadgets at this very moment in time, to give 2 shits about any thing else right now.

I sighed a little bit, as I dipped my head a little bit low to the ground all at once as well, none the less, as I was not all too sure as to what it was that was going on at this very moment in time, nor was I too sure as to what it was that I should do none the less. At first I had thought that this would be a good idea, and it was Alexanders turn to get trolled for once, but it was now starting to become more and more clear to me by each moment, that maybe this was not the best idea as to what it was that I had been thinking.

I had just gotten a little bit too over my head, and I was starting to get a little bit freaked out by it all at once as well, as I was not all too sure as to what it was that I should do now. I knew that if I was to pussy out of it, than I would never hear the end of it from Marion, as she would make fun of me for the fact that I had been too scared to do some thing that she had been completely in to doing.

I gulped a little bit to my self all at once, as I was not all too sure what it was that I should do if I was going to be honest with my self. A part of me wanted to make up some sort of plan that my parents were telling me that I needed to go back home for some odd reason or another, as I was sure that no one would believe that one bit if I was to say some thing like that.

I let out a bit of a soft sigh at all at once, as I was not all too sure as to what it was that I should do if I was not going to lie to my self. A part of me wanted to go up to the mountains and see what it was like out there, so that I had some thing to brag about once we were to get back from there. I knew that every one was too scared to go up there, and there was also the fact that they did not want to get caught going up there at the exact same time too either.

If we came back, perfectly fine and dandy, we could make up as many stories as we wanted to about all of the scary creatures that we had out run when we had been up there. I was fairly certain none the less, that we would in fact end up being okay, as after all, I knew that those stories were simply just myths, and fairy tale stories that people told kids to make sure that they were not ever tempted to cross the border.

I sighed a bit to my self at the exact same time too, as I did my best to try to shake off all of those thoughts all at once, and get my focus back on to what it was that we were even doing at this very moment in time none the less, as I shook my head, and got my focus back on to the present further more, as I let out quite a loud sigh at the exact same time too, as I heard the cashier at the front start to speak up to us.

I let out a bit of a soft sigh of relief at the exact same time too, as I was kind of grateful for the guy for doing such a thing, as it cleared out all of the thoughts that had been going through my head all at the exact same time too. I lifted my head up at the guy, as for a second I actually for some odd reason or another actually was tempted to thank the guy, but I held my self in, as I knew that guy would not have a clue as to what it was that I was talking about, and I knew that the others would think of me as some kind of idiot.

I shook my head, as I figured not to think too much on any of that at all any ways, as I had not done such a thing at the exact same time too, so there really was not any thing for us to be worried about at this very moment in time any ways, as I got my focus on the man that was speaking to us at the exact same time too, as I blinked my eyes, and I then begun to listen to what it was that he had to say to us in the first place any ways.

"The total will be 137 dollars and 65 cents..." The man said to Zachary, as I saw him squint his eyes at Zachary at the exact same time too, as it was clear that he did not trust my friend at all for some odd reason or another, even though he had in fact brought all of the stuff to the front to be rang up any ways. It also confused my a little bit, as I also knew that Zachary was actually one of those guys that you could trust, so I was not all too sure as to what it was that the guy was even think about at this very moment in time any ways.

Perhaps he thought that Zachary was going to troll him a little bit, which was some thing that Zachary tended to like to do, but this time, that did not seem to be the case at all how ever, as I saw Zachary nod to the man, and he then began to reach his hand over to his wallet at the exact same time too. I let out a little bit of a soft sigh all at once none the less, as I really just wanted to get out of this store as soon as I possibly could if I was not going to lie.

Suddenly I saw the man at the front reach his head down, as I saw that he seemed to be a little bit freaked out, and taken aback by some thing that Zachary might have done, as I was lost as to what it was that the guy was doing, as Zachary I could tell did not have a clue as to what it was that it could be at all, as he did not have his eyes on the man such as I did, and Zachary was just reaching in to his pocket so that he could grab his wallet.

My eyes went wide, as this seemed to be like some thing from a movie, or some thing that you heard on the news, as I was about ready for the man to pull out a shot gun and shoot Zachary, due to the fact that I knew he was half black as well, as his mother was black. I was about to step in and stop the guy at the exact same time too, that was, until I saw that the man lifted his hand up, with some thing in his hand that was much different than a shot gun.

The man simply had just dropped his grocery bags that he was going to put our stuff in, as I let out a little bit of a soft sigh of relief all of the sudden, as I dipped my head a little bit low to the ground at the same time too, as I was not all too sure as to what it was that I had been thinking was going to happen in the first place if I was going to be completely honest with my self none the less.

The man then began to put our stuff in to the bags, as he then nodded to Zachary at the exact same time too, as Zachary then put his card in to the machine, so that it would take some money out of his account. It was a bit of a surprise to me, as I knew that usually Zachary liked to flex about the fact that he had 100 dollar bills, and he would give it to the person that was the cashier, but that was not the case at all this time how ever, as it seemed like for some odd reason or another, Zachary was in a bit of a rush.

I was not all too sure as to what it was that he could be in a rush for how ever, if I was going to be honest with my self none the less, as it did in fact confuse me quite a bit as to why that might be the case, as usually he was always calm, cool and relaxed when it came to things such as this, but that did not seem to be the case at all this time, as he just seemed to want to get out of this Dollar General as soon as possible.

I thought that it might be due to the fact that he was excited about where it was that we were about to go, and what it was that we were about to do, but that to did not seem to be the case at all either, as I could just based off of the look that he had on his face at this very moment in time none the less. I looked away from him, as I shook off all of those thoughts at the same time too.

I watched as Zachary then reached his hand out to grab the bags that were in front of him on the front of the counter that the man had just put our stuff in. Zachary then began to start the hand their girls their stuff, such as any gentle man should do, as after the girls got off their phones to grab their stuff, he then grabbed me and Alexander's stuff, as he grabbed the water bottles for him self as well.

Alexander then turned his head over to all of us all at once, as he squinted his eyes at me, for some odd reason or another, which did in fact confuse me quite a bit, as to what it was that was even going on in the first place, as I was a little bit worried that Alexander might have said some thing to him. I shook off all of those thoughts all at once how ever, as I knew that Alexander would not do such a thing, as I let out a little bit of a soft sigh at the same time as well, as I then heard Zachary start to speak, as I listened as to what it was that he had to say at the same time too.

"Alright every one... Let's go..."
