HEAD ON COLLISION

"Ruel! Do you have any plans to visit your girl again?"

Heiran distracted her best friend Ruel with what he's doing. He is busy watching the steps he is making as they walk the streets to Heiran's house. After Heiran was elected to be the EIC, the smile in Ruel's face disappeared. And Heiran is aware of the reason why. It is still about his girl. Why is he even attached to that girl so much if she can't even make time with him?

"Well she said she's so wrapped up with her schedule, with the volleyball training of course. So I think I'll be stuck in my house."

"We can go out and eat at your favorite restaurant."

"I'm tired and I don't know why."

"Movie marathon?"

"I just want to sleep. I came home late last night."

"You are so bothered with your girlfriend. Do you think she feels the same when you're not around?"

"Maybe no."

"You have to be fair. Not just with her but also with yourself. You can't be too paranoid over the things she is not worrying about. What was her last message? Or maybe when?"

"Last day, in the afternoon before her class started."

(I would love to expose their conversation. As soon as I wake up, I will comment the screen shot of their conversation. Kindly go to see it in the comment section)

"See? She's complacent because she knows you're hanging on the other line. If she can be complacent like that why can't you be?"

"Heiran, you don't understand... She makes me complete. I never had this connection with someone."

"You said that for so many times that I can't remember when did it first happen. Ruel, you are only exhausting yourself. If she contacts you at those times she feel convenient, let her be. Don't wait and don't expect her to be on the same level of expressiveness as yours. Worry less and it'll be easier for you."

"I think I should do that. Thank you for that piece of advice."

And the smile he's wearing as of the moment is the worst she had seen in her life. It isn't genuine, it isn't true, as if he's just doing that to stop Heiran from thinking and worrying about him.

"Heiran!"

Both Ruel and Heiran decided to look back after hearing that call. Heiran is familiar with that voice but Ruel isn't. The moment Heiran looked back she confirmed to herself that her assumptions were true. It is Chung Ae indeed.

"So you won? You won just like that?"

The devil wants to make Heiran question herself. She is saying she doesn't deserve the spot. But Heiran already heard enough from her. She already proved herself not just to Chung Ae but to all the students in their school as well.

"Thanks to your childhood friend. If it wasn't for him..."

To tease her, Heiran emphasized the word childhood friend. Young Jae clearly stated earlier that they never dated nor did he fall in love over this lady. And that is the truth, Young Jae has been rejecting this woman for so many times. Sometimes, even Young Jae wonders why Chung Ae is still not giving up on him.

"Did you say childhood friend? Everyone knows we're more than that."

"I didn't know 'you' means 'everyone' now. It's only you who's assuming you have something special going on."

Chung Ae is just looking at her right now. Heiran can tell that rage poisoned the woman's veins for her eyes darkened in fury. However, you just can't threaten Heiran with a stare. If there is one thing she regrets is that once in her life, she wasn't able to protect and stand for herself that resulted to her downfall from the career that she always wants to pursue, basketball.

"Oh and what is really your issue here? Is it about me becoming the EIC or is it about me knowing you are nothing to him than just a friend?"

"How dare you!"

Chung Ae is about to slap her but Ruel caught her hand in motion and dropped it; throwing it back to her side. And Heiran seized that opportunity to slap the left side of her soft cheek using her mighty right hand, the same hand she often used to reject and block her opponent's attempt to shoot the ball to the basket.

Chung Ae was left standing there, shame corroded her insides that she was unable to move for a minute or two. She was never slapped by someone else before

Other than her father, Heiran is the first one to actually make a harsh move against her. She was feared, everyone trembles when they see her. But not with Heiran, she seems like an average woman but she is more than that.

"You aren't the one to turn me down Heiran."

"Well I'm not like what you heard of me too. I thought after I prove myself worthy of the position, you're going to shut those lips of yours. It's not my fault if Young Jae helped me. Why don't you blame him instead? Is it because he isn't interested with what you're going to say? Well neither do I."

Ruel let go of his grip on Chung Ae's wrist after Heiran turned around and left the latter humiliated. It is true, if it's not about her scholarship that's at risk, Heiran will never mind Chung Ae's complains. She will never bother Young Jae about this matter nor will she slap Chung Ae in the face.

From a distance, Young Jae and Dongyul also saw the commotion. They felt nothing but a sense of pride and they don't even know why they are happy for Heiran. She was able to stand up for herself.

"Jae, what if Chung Ae will indeed come to you and blame you like what Heiran suggested?"

"Let it be. I can also put the blame to Heiran. And if she attacks her again, Heiran can always blame me."

And the both of them laughed as if joy bubbled up in them. Chung Ae knows her best friends will never support her if she's commuting herself on the evil side. However, it seems like she really loves pulling people down as if she's doing this for a living. She performs her best with this even though this is a thing that both Young Jae and Dongyul will never be proud of.
