Once the mysterious man had left, Soichiro began to walk back up to his room. But he was stopped by the sound of his mother exasperated sigh and she ordered him to come to her. He stood still for a few seconds, thinking that she'd let him go if he was quiet like a cat waiting for mice. She repeated herself and threatened Soichiro that if he did not come to her within the next five seconds, he could say goodbye to his favorite dish. Well, it wasn't really much of a dish, just a snack that he would make whenever he had the chance to do so. But, he did end up obeying and sat down on a chair in the living room of his home. Lucia had her face in her hands and you could just tell that she was stressed out. Her beautiful long black hair had a few strands resting on her forehead; This not a good sign at all. Lucia loves her hair more than anything else and she always wants it to be in perfect condition. Judging at this time, she didn't even notice the strands and looked ahead at her child.
"You were listening? Then I guess I don't really have much to explain, do I?", Lucia asked of him and he shook his head 'no'. There was still plenty of things that he did not understand. His mother must have been a part of the mafia by the way she had been talking. Her eyes looked to be full of pain that he had never seen. Was she... holding all this pain inside of her... all these years? She never once mentioned this to him or his deadbeat father. Damn. His mom must have went through hell in her younger days. Her brothers and sisters too. Though, he doubted that most of them were alive. "Chi-Chi, maybe I'll explain it all later. I just need some time to think." Lucia said before getting up to go to her room before Soichiro cleared his throat. "You should tell me everything, right here and now. It seems all too important to just cast aside like trash.", He said before looking to see his mother balling up her fists. Anger was seething out of her again. "Since you wish to know so much... I had been apart of the mafia. The Giove is a strong famiglia that is built around the love of others and kids. Of course, they were all still criminals. We all had blood on our hands, even each others." She said with her back facing her son. She was ashamed of herself for joining the mafia as a fucking idiot would.
"The Giove... were kind and caring people. Everyone worked together and formed bonds, and those bonds grew stronger with each battle. Like I said, they are still criminals to the "normal" world and would be arrested for life after the shit they have all done. I... might as well tell you of the progenitor of the family. His name was... Vincenzo. Vincenzo was, by all means, a loving friend and father. He was a criminal by law but to us? He was what a human should be. He showed many of his descendants what it meant to be the Boss of the Giove." Lucia turned around to see her son listening closely to her words. It seemed to her that he was very curious to hear what Primo (First) was like in his old days. Well, who wouldn't be? His tales of glory filled her with light as a child and she would always pretend to be like him. Lucia cringed there for a second as she realized how stupid and ridiculous she looked as a child. Geez, she really was a geek. Lucia went ahead and sat on a chair with her legs crossed. It seems to me that Lucia wants to tell the story of Primo.
"Sadly, I will not be telling you every single bit of history the Giove have. It is not my place to educate you there, understand? Chi-Chi, you must realize that being a part of the mafia comes with a huge risk. Everyone you know can be involved and dragged into it, even killed for the sake of getting to you. That is why I will not allow you to be in the mafia." Lucia meant every word she said right then and there. She stuck to her words like glue; this means that she would not go back on her word of letting Soichiro live a normal and happy life. That is why she came to Japan so he would be far away from the world of the mafia. He shouldn't have to go through what she once went through in her younger days. "Giove Primo sounds really cool. But what does any of this have to do with me?", he asked and Lucia let out another sigh while face palming herself. How slow can this child be...?
That is it for chapter three! Sorry for the delay, we were having some technical difficulties.
Soichiro: Crazy. Well, at least I'm alive. Until the next one, my friends.
