"But Miss, I remember that you have not married yet. How can you get a daughter like that kind of her?"
"Of course, I have not engaged. What are you thinking in your head? You are trying to question me, aren't you?"
I shake my head.
"You will never have a chance to question me. You know that I used to be a soldier in the World War II, don't you?"
And then, she and I stare at each other. I believe that I have to fight with her to find out the truth about the troublesome guy. Little had I known all the things that had happened during the time I stay in this town. I wonder why she has never told me once about the person she called "her daughter".
"I have signed a contract."
I ask her what kind of contract she had signed before. I think that contract is related to a private problem with her.
"So she is not your biological daughter?"
"Never."
"Where is she from?"
The atmosphere between us is suddenly quiet, except for the howl of the wind in the rain. Then, the tutor tries her best to push me out of her room.
"Hey, hey. Why are you trying to do this? Please explain me once, please."
Unfortunately, I have no answers from her, at least one word. The doors shut in front of me. All of a sudden, I see a strange smoke coming out of the gully. That makes me feel something unexpected happen, and that is not a good thing.
