25. Minions.

The 4 brotherhood members would be great minions due to thier abilities, well besides Toad but I could find a way to make him useful.

They arent just mindless zombies either, they can grow and change, however thier personalities had simply been adjusted. More eager to learn, willing to follow orders, willing to put in work. Not some common thugs who throw around thier power like garbage.

A miniature juggernaut, a high speed human, and someone capable of causing earthquakes and with training I think he could even be able to move the very earth itself.

Yet all they do is fuck around and cause small time crime like petty thugs. Robbing atms, bullying kids, causing damage and giving metahumans a bad name.

They arent even fucking good at it! Do you know how much damage I could do with just Pietro's abilities if he wasnt such a fucking idiot? Motherfucker can basically slow time to a halt in his own eyes with just speed.

How the fuck do you manage to get caught when you move faster than most people think? Not just once but every single time?

Back in the mansion apparently Wanda had fallen asleep on my couch next to Laura.

I scoop the girl up and smile before walking her to her room and placing her in bed before doing the same for Laura.

I also clean up the small mess they left behind.

Then I plop down on the couch and sort through all the stuff that Magneto had left me. There were piles of rare ores and money along with loads of complex machines inside of the meteor base. After all the man was a master of metal so he could get his money mostly from rare metal. Besides its not like he could just become an enemy of everyone, sometimes it's easier to just purchase items.

However what caught my eye was a yellow glowing gem that was stored away.

"Ah, no I'm not touching that." I deny instantly.

I know what that item is, it's a shard of one of the elder demon gods powers. Sure they give you great abilities, mostly at the cost of your sanity and other valuables.

I take out my phone and send a text message to the ancient one asking if she is up for a trade.

A second later she walls through a portal into my room.

"What kind of trade?" She asks curiosily.

"I have a gem of an elder god or whatever. willing to offer something in return?" I ask.

"Show me." She says seriously.

I raise my hand and the glowing yellow crystal drops from my ring to the ground.

"The Gem of Balthakk, capable of evolving someone's powers to the limit, however the price is rather steep. Your life force and rational thinking is the trade off." She says looking at the gem.

"So trade?" I ask.

"This is a great boon to the sanctum as i could banish Balthakk off of the planet permanently. What do you want on exchange?" She asks pretty eagerly.

"Dimensional magic artifact." I request.

She ponders for a moment. "Fair enough."

She waves her hands and a crystal ball appears. Its maybe fist sized and has a blue glow to it.

"Dimension orb, it contains a small dimension of it's own. Kind of like the ring you wear, however it can sustain life. A drop of blood please." I hold out my hand.

She pricks my finger and drops the blood onto the ball. It shines brightly for a second before vanishing into a tattoo on my shoulder that looks like a small blue galaxy.

"Now it's yours, usually masters dont recieve an artifact so early but I see great potential in you. You can also grow this artifact and modify it however you'll need more study for that." She says with a grin.

"What is it called?" I ask curiosily.

"The city of Atlantis." She says making me freeze.

" "The" city of Atlantis?" I question just to make sure.

"The city of Atlantis, the lost city under the sea, home of Neptune, mermaids and all that. It was a sacred treasure and mobile city fortress that could move in the olden days tl fight demons at sea, until it was no longer needed. Alas there has been quite a bit of damage done so you have your work cut out for you. Of course there is another Atlantis which is at the bottom of the sea but the two are just named after each other no connection." She smiles before waving her hand and making the gem on the floor vanish. "Anyway I now have a lot to do and it's getting late so I must be going." She says before leaving through the portal.

With a mental thought I'm now standing in the middle of a massive city covered in ruins and collapsed buildings. The air smells stale and dead, I also dont feel any signs of life at all.

The sky looks like its covered in slightly glowing runes which are dome shaped into the distance.

Wait a fucking minute!

I look down at my finger.

"How the fuck did she cut through my skin?" I ask in shock.

Just goes to show this world is fucking dangerous and there is alot I dont know.

A ball of blue light appears and slaps onto my hand leaving a glowing blue rune that looks like a capital A.

I get a load of information into my mind. Apparently this is the major control rune for the city.

I can activate things like the flying fortress, defensive cannons, air purifiers, day and night cycles, entry and exit for others however things like the flying fortress and defensive cannons are damaged and need repairs.

"So fucking cool though!" I groan out in ecstasy at the hidden fortress.

It's a bit old fashioned and could use various updates as it mostly relies on magic and most of the building are made of stone and shit. But who the fuck cares?! It's a secret base and Atlantis!
