A Needy Alpha

It was the week of my debut as the alpha's mate, the following were the last grueling days trying to avoid everyone in the palace. Including the alpha. I won't remember much of the party. I made sure to forget all about everything that happened. Even the night the Alpha wanted to take me for himself.

My body still tingles at his touch. The way his eyes bore into me. His yearning desire for me is more than just a look at my body. The Alpha has gotten a taste and he wants more. And the time together in the sanctuary has shown me he is just waiting for the day to take another taste of me.

Windchimes sing to the winds biddings just afar the palace. I glanced out the window at the bright green scenery today. Most of the servants are cleaning up the palace for the party. I never really knew that the people here, holding themselves in such a regal manner could wolfout. They made a mess by the time the party was completed.

The carriage that I ride rumbles to the grounds bidding as I ride through the palace front. I find the croncelt of taking a carriage absorbed. I could just walk, but Madema Fara instead I am now the Alphas official claimed mate, there will be a problem after me and I will need to protect myself.

Still I find the concept dumb.

The carriage stops once I reach my destination. I open the door to a bright sunny day glazed with greenery at every turn. I don't shy away and decide to take a deep breath. It feels nice to be somewhere outside of the palace.

Well, I'm not really outside the palace. I could still see the gray stone walls erected in the blue skies. The servants roaming among the compound hard at work on this dime afternoon.

But ignore all of it. I pretend no one here other than me in the palace wooded area. Today, I just needed some green time away from the palace.

One of the Alpha's pack members follows me from the carriage. I don't pay him much attention because I am used to the alphas lacking members around me when Alpha Rhys is not around me. Of course, since my debut protection toward me has been a lot more. I find it overwhelming.

Back in Rosewood, I was always sent off to the night market to fetch them info without brown accompanying me. Mom was sick at the time, and I was the only one who could go to the night market to get the right medicine for her. Nothing happened to me in the most dangerous part of town alone at night, but there are those few unfortunate souls.

"Heeyy…" A same man nears me, slurring his words . "Mind– giving me a ride?"

I pause, giving him a strange look. "Sorry, this is for the lord's use only."

The man giggles then I catch what is wrong with him. His eyes are bloodshot red, and his walking is clumsy.

"You should go rest." I told him.

"I'm fine," he smiles. "The alpha told me to watch you."

"You are obviously high."

"Come along human, the alpha said you have to get some fresh air." He drags his feet across the greenery. "He wants to make sure you're…I'm in good shape." He lets out a wide yawn.

I ignored the sleepy guard and trudged among the small wooded space. It is not much like the forest back home but I make due. I've always had to manage ever since coming here.

In the center of the wooded space, there is a stone bench, bird bath, and arrays of plants and herbs planted here. A plant catches my eyes. Its blood red body is lined with purple thorns. Pretty. I teach you to touch the plant.

"Don't touch that." Oscar comes in. His brown eyes darted from me to the plant. He lets out a wide sight of relief.

"What is that?"

"Dead man's rose. One touch of it torn will kill you if you."

"Why would you have this here?"

Oscars shrugs his arm. "Ask the Alpha."

I make my way to the beach instead of deer that will kill me. One of the pack members lay on the grass; completely still like he touched the plant and died. Oscar walks over to his comrade and kicks him. The black member lets out a groan but still not moving. "It seemed that Azariq had too many Canins."

My gaze fixes back on to the sleeping man. That explains a lot of his grange behavior. The metal hanging off Oscars clothes sounds, bringing my attention to him. This is my first time ever looking at him without him running away or being angry at me. His blond curly hair sits on top of his head. And brown eyes that always seem to be far in thought, but it turns harsh with the slightest annoyance. The extra body hair seemingly almost crawled out of his clothes. Oscar is handsome. And I see why she picked him.

"So how long have you and Ophelia been mated?" I ask out of the blue.

He turns to me. "Why does my personal life concern you?"

"Because Ophelia always talks about you."

His eyes brighten. "She does?"

I nod.

Oscar's lips softened. His eyes darted behind me. He straightened his body. "Welcome Alpha Rhy's."

I also stand. Just hearing his name sets my heart on fire. Seeing him makes me want to cool away. We immediately caught each other's gaze just a few feet from each other.

"Because we are mates, doesn't mean you don't have to greet me anymore."

"Hi Alpha Rhy's." I force myself to say. It still never sounds right for me to call him that. I feel like a servant.

The alpha flashes a smile. "Nice to see my beauty as beautiful as the day."

"What brings you here? I was sure you were busy with whatever it is you do."

"I needed a break. So I came to visit my favorite woman in the world." His face. Rightens just looking at me.

"So this is one of your other secret sanctuaries?"

"Not quite. It's just a green space."

"Then what is the point of this?"

"Oh there is more to it than just here." He walks over to a bush of plants meeting at the center to accept a patch. He dives into the wall of greenery. In the next seconds he comes out. He brought out his hands to me.

"Would you like to take a look?"

I hesitate then I take his hands to wake to the touch. The alpha gently pulls me into the hedge. Inside, is another part of a wooded area. Here the birds sang songs, the trees were taller that almost blocked the sun.

"I never knew this place existed."

"Now you know."

"Why are you even showing me this place?"

The alpha leans to me. He takes his hands and plays with a loose hair."Since you are now my mate, why don't I start to show you more of what belongs to me."

My eyes are captured by his. I feel his other hand rubbing my waist. Getting too comfortable roaming around my body. Break free, Mel.

"Where does this lead?" I pull away from him.

"All over Wolvendom." He purses his lips.

"Are there animals here? I'd love to hunt."

"Yes there is Mel."

"Do you happen to have a bow?"

"Why would you need a bow?"

"I just wanted to hunt."

"So you can use it on me?"

"No, I didn't mean it that way."

"Come along Melanie, we cannot be here for long. Why don't we spend some more time with each other indoors."

I bit the corner of my cheeks. That night of us together flashes in my mind, and this time, inside of the palace where he wants to spend more time with me. I must be a fool to think that. I know how all of this stuff works. I am married to him– or mated as they all say here, then boom, he wants to put his spawn inside of me and trap me here forever.

"I think I'll take a walk to the palace. Alone."

"You are avoiding me."

"I'm not. I just prefer to be by myself."

"Is it because I said we should spend more time indoors?" He raises an eyebrow at me.

"Why wouldn't you think that?"

"If you don't want to spend time indoors then we can stay out here together." He inches forward.

I shoot him glare. "Go to hell."

Alpha Rhy's approaches me then he leans really close to my face– nose to nose. He cranes his neck to the side. Following the veins that lead to my neck. I let out a small whimper from the sudden graze of his nose on my neck. Keep it together, Mel! I take heavy breaths. "You know, I secretly love it when you talk like that."

Despite the slight fear within me, I match him with a smirk, but I am quickly taken back by him taking that as an opportunity and snakes his hands down my back. I could feel the warmth from his body. Feeling every creative and bump on his skin. Seeing my own reflection in his eyes. And feel the tent growing under his pants.

He smirks. His eyes are now roaming at different areas of my body. Shivers run down from my neck to ear as his lips graze my hot ear. "You don't know how hard it is seeing you like this."

My breath hitches under his warmth pressing onto my lower part. His member wanted to break into a flower. I grip his chest, and he holds my other arm above my head. I let out a soft whimper from him planting a kiss on my sensitive neck. Another whimper comes out just feeling a lump rising from him pressed against my body. Rhy's lips trace lines across my neck until they find their way to my ear turning red from his touch.

As he is kissing my neck, his hands fumble with my dress, finally slipping it right down my midsection, exposing part of my breast for him to gawk at. His hands came to me nipples and squeezed them lightly, causing a small shudder to pass through my body. He grazes them with the tips of his fingers. He presses his body to my back against the wall as he pushes the light fabric of my panties to the side, his fingers rubbing the sensitive skin of my clit, making me gasp in surprise.

He kisses me.

"No, I can't do this. Not like this."

"Are you a virgin?"

I shake my head quickly and I emerge out of the secret wooded area. Oscar follows as soon as he sees me come out from the woods. The Alpha follows me but keeps a small distance from me.

"Oscar, please escort Mel back to her room."

"I said I can walk alone."

"Don't mind Oscar. He'll be walking behind you. Out of sight, out of mind."

I breathe out in annoyance. With a step, I continue my own way out of the wooded area. Though the alpha told Oscar to stay out of sight, I still hear him as clear as day. I shuffle my legs faster across the space, desperately trying to get out of this place and away from the Alpha and the thoughts of him just touching my most intimate parts of my body just moments ago. I need to go and take a hot bath to wash—

"No!"

My body stops in its tracks when I hear screaming from afar. I follow the sounds of girls screaming from afar. The sounds get closer and closer until Insert my gaze on a guard dragging a girl through the compound.

What happened? I find myself drawn to the commotion, however the stone hedges block me away from the girl. Another guard comes to his aid all to handle a girl.

In a split second, me and the girl break eye contact. Similar brown eyes like mine stare right back at me. My heart drops to my gut watching her graves off into the building. This girl is not a regular girl.

She's my sister.
