A Wicked Alpha

I spend the rest of the evening pacing around the room. I walk so much that my calves start to hurt. I sit on the bed once I grow tired of being tired. My legs start to shake instead. I can't keep my nerves at any time not knowing what my fate will be in the next few hours.

After arriving here, the alpha was sent to go get treated for his deep wound. The heavy sound of a muffled groan vibrates from the other side of the wall. Hearing him in pain made me feel a bit guilty for what I had done.

I left the Alpha to bleed out in the presence of danger.

Then I ran away.

If he dies, I'll die too.

The doors push open and I stand. The servant from today steps in with her head low and hands claps in front of her. Then the Alphas strolls shirtless with a bandage across his chest, his pack members following behind him.

Even if I am outnumbered I try to remain strong.

Though the alpha was groaning in pain before, he stands strong like a leader. His dark eyes bore into me like an enemy staring into the eye of his foes. But I am not his foe. I am his mate who betrayed him. Left him to die.

I swallow the thick saliva lodged in the center of my throat. The Alpha steps deeper into the room he threw me into before he has gone out to get his treatment. Though I want to cry now, I keep my head high and prepare for the worst.

"Everyone out," Rhy;s says without breaking eye contact with me. "I want to be alone with her."

"As you wish." The servant bows. Her eyes shake with pity for me, yet fear behind them like she knows what the alpha has in store for me. She shuts the door, trapping me here with this man who will go feral any second from now.

My heartbeat sounds in my ear every second the alpha and I stand in the room with silence. The air is so thick that I can cut through it with a blade. My body shakes so much that I think I might just drop down.

He shakes his head. "You betrayed me."

"I…" are the only words that come out of my mouth.

"After all I've done for you you left me to die."

"If you were in my predicament you would do the same thing too," I say bravely, knowing he will get mad at me.

The alpha moves away from me without even looking me in the eyes. He touches the sack that was situated on the table just adjacent to me. "What is this?"

"A bag…" I say quietly. "I was hunting…"

"What would you need a bag for if you intended to hunt with me?"

I press my lips together. If I told him I was escaping he would be livid. I think it's best to act naive so he would be less angry than he is. The Alpha places the bag down and takes a deep tired breath.

"Funny thing is, someone told me they saw you run the opposite way me and my men went."

"They must have been wrong."

"If that is true, then tell me, what were you doing in the woods?"

"I ran because I was scared."

"So you ran into the deepest parts of the woods instead of staying by my side?"

I keep my mouth shut."

"I knew when I first brought you to Wolvendom that you would try to escape and I knew you would get over it. How much of a fool I was to not believe you would leave me for dead to return to the human world when you had the chance."

I press my lips together. How does he know? I just stare back at the alpha face starting to twitch with rage.

"You think I'm stupid don't you?"'

"I dont know what you are talking about."

"You are something else, Melanie. Leaving me to die then talking with a lowly Krae pack leader."

"What?" I look up at him.

"Oscar saw you with Edward. You wanted to run away with him after all I have told you about the Kraes."

"Yes, I did." I say out with my chest. "And you know, the Krae don't seem so bad. He was going to take me home and all I had to do was go with him."

"Edward killed my parents after all they have done for him. Saving him from the predators in the woods. Then he went and joined the Krae members; practitioners of dark moon magic. Enhancing their werewolf form and power even if it is forbidden in all of Wolvendom." Alpha Rhy's face. "Do you consider him a good person now?"

"I don't care what he has done in the past. He was going to take me home unlike you."

I flinch when he fits his fits on the dresses, cracking the top. "Dammit, Mel. I don't understand you. I've done everything in my power to give you a good life and you tell me what Edward did to me and my people is justifiable. You don't sound like my innocent mate that walked through those doors."

"I am not your mate!"

His lips spread. "And I was thinking we were bonding."

"You are ignorant thinking fancy clothes, feeding me food and fucking me was going to make me like you? You are a foolish man to think I was going to like you after everything you have taken from me. And to let you know, I am not as innocent as you think I am."

Alpha Rhy's only stares at me. Blue eyes that always twinkled around me nwo darkened with a twisted idea roaming in his orbs. "I have been way too lenient with you. I think it is time I just deal with you as the other men deal with their unruly mates."

In a blink, the Alpha is in front of me. I yelp the alpha gets a hold of my arm. He drags me to the bed and pushes me down the bed. I let out a gasp, realizing what the Alpha meant by his words. He takes a hold of my leg with one hand, and pins both of my hands above me.

"No–"

He growls into my ears instead.

"Please–"

Rhys sinks his canine into my neck. I don't feel anything until a sharp pain shoots from my neck and down to my body. I gasp out loud, breathing heavily from the amount of pain I feel. I almost black out at the sound of what seems to be the tiny bones in my neck being crushed but I don't feel pain, instead it feels like the calmness people say they feel before they die. My grip around him loosens. He pulls away from me, wiping some bits of blood away from his lips. He bores into my hyperventilated body. Relief takes over me knowing my words got him to stop whatever he was doing to me.

"What did you do to me?"

The Alpha lingers in the room. It's hard to know what he is thinking by the wall he keeps over himself. "From now on, you will not be allowed to go anywhere without my permission. If you break the rules, you will find out the hard way."

"I am not your slave!" I throw a pillow at him.

He catches it midair and places it down. "No you are not. You are my fated mate, and you will learn your place."

I scream at him and he only stares blankly at me. "Get some rest. We'll be leaving tomorrow."
