A few days have passed and there was still no answer. It was like her sister packed her life again and vanished in thin air.
Alina got back to the normal mundane life, where no one really loved anyone, and everyone creeps their dreams away, and the air smothered of hatred and anxiety, where people sold their souls for a single apple box, racing against time to get better. Financially of course.
She saw the truth underneath the fake smiles, the amount of hypocrisy covering the atmosphere wherever she went. They were sitting in a café, an old lady sat a few feet away from them, alone, she smiled slowly at Alina from her reflection at the mirrored glass that compelled the street noises out. Alina turned to her when she remarked the backscattering only to stun herself at her own reflection at the mirror behind the lady's table.
There was no lady, it wasn't her first time hallucinating, she started thinking if her lies were actually getting to her as if pretending enough made them a reality. She shook her head driving those thoughts away.
"It was my sister"
Fully aware of what she had done, she had to let something out or else she would have to break down on herself again.
"What are you talking about?" Replied Eren, sitting in a different way to face her with a serious look spreading on his face, after a few minutes of falling to complete silence, probably digesting what type of information she had just thrown at their plates.
Eren's shoulders slackened like a tall ship's sheets "So the person that saved me at the bridge wasn't you?"
"Why are you talking like that was your reason for befriending me?" Her radiant blue whiskers suddenly shone as if they were filled with nothingness.
Eren ran himself into a dead calm. Their milkshakes were served and the waitress was able to feel the strangled looks.
Everything disappeared from her eyesight when she learned that a woman she tried so hard to forget about had returned. She was over the phone with Patrick that required her immediate presence.
She was shaking, her friends remarked on her odd behavior as she spilled the whole strawberry milkshake on her.
"Cold" she uttered.
"Of course it is!" Said Lydia trying to wipe it off with a few napkins. She too was tired of watching the two fight for no reason at all.
Alina left soo after leaving Lydia alone to deal with Eren's dead soul.
All the reasons were piling up in her head as she walked near a park surrounded by black railing looking like a torture stake from afar. She stopped dead outside the closed big gate.
A hamper slightly covered with a tiny blanket, it was weighed down with rain and look like it had been there for days. The park was abondend which explain why such thing would be left there. She jumped over the black spikes and stepped closer to confirm what she felt. It was moving.
There was a small infant inside, soaked with water, a anvil appeared behind her eyes and a thunderstorm followed demolishing every tenderness she had in her heart. Her mind was cracking and she had finally let out the silent scream she had been holding back for years of suffocating and shrinking into a forgotten nightmare. As her voice got louder the baby started crying with her, they shared the same affection of being forsaken at a young age.
Her thoughts went blank, and the emotions fade away. Now all she had was a foreboding and a crying baby. Alina had always thought of herself as an omen, now she can finally lay sure.

(Meanwhile at the café)
Lydia gazed at Eren shade. She noticed how young he looked compared to his age, he had a surprisingly handsome face, a tear made her way out of his glittering green eyes. Inside, Lydia was able to see an exhaustion, like he held the agony of humanity. He looked so drawn in his emotions and felt the need to be rescued.
"Never thought you were a dramatic boy"
He gave her a sly leer.
"That came out wrong" before she could finish he finally spelled his first word.
"How did she have a twin and never told us this whole time?"
"If I knew I would've shut the same question off of my head"
"I can't believe her"
"And I can't believe you, did you really become friends with her just because you thought she was your destined savior grace?"
"No, of course not! I don't even know why she would think that way. I was thinking about a puppy"
"Really? A puppy?"
"Believe me, I saw her drown a puppy. Or that's what I think, maybe that was her sister"
"No way, you saw how she wanted to rescue that cat that day, she almost broke her leg doing it!"
"That's why I shot those thoughts off, but now a twin sister, out of nowhere"
"Well we always knew she had too many secrets, what are you thinking?"
"Nothing, she's super sus these days"
"Maybe she super needs a good friend by her side now"
She gave him the same the lascivious look, and then left after paying for a couple cheesecakes for her siblings.
People came and went, he was still waiting for Alina to come back. When he finally lost hope, he took off too to her house.
There was a weird looking womanon the doorstep, she seemed about to leave after success mission. He was about to meet Alina's family for the first time, and it made him nervous.
Patrick noticed him before he could get his shit together for a proper meeting.
He asked him what he was doing around the house. Eventually he welcomed him in when they figured out Alina was missing. No one saw her for 2 hours while her friends thought she was heading home to change. Patrick had no idea where the might have gone. Not having any ideas made him sick.
Before he could do anything he was called to the police station where he should have been hours earlier. Eren asked who the mysterious women was but Patrick left on read.
Selena was happy to have him over, he quietly observed her as she reviewed a few reports, before she got up and made them coffee, he said he wasn't hungry but she insisted.
"Alina mentioned you were a great therapist, I can see that." H e tried to sound polite and worthy of her daughter's friendship.
"How do you see that, I can tell I never had a session with you" She looked less surprised than what her tone suggested.
He had to think fast to get himself out of this orbit at any cost, "You didn't ditch the papers when you had an expected visitor, instead you went with your priorities"
"Smart kid" Selena replied, "Sugar free?" she asked after pouring him a cup of warm coffee.
"Alina is lucky to have a friend like you!" She said after having a whole conversation with the kid next to her, she had an amazement look on her face.
He shook his head, "I have been a bad friend to her lately"
"Want a piece of advice?"
He nodded.
"Brutal honesty, just face her with how you feel"
"Even if it hurt her?"
"Measure your words then, you don't wanna get killed, you know?"
He was speechless, and just let out a cold giggling after the joke she had thrown at his face.
Alina was petrified. She had definitely heard what her new mom just said.
She was furious.
"Eren, come outside"
He explained himself, but she didn't care. She just wanted to forget what kind of person she had just met. The woman offered her to come and live with her again, she sickened from the idea. She has known herself for being rebellious, she might have lost that side since she had no more desire pushing her to fight.
She wanted to hear that she was okay, that everything will be okay even if it wasn't. The smile that she gave Eren even when she felt like dying, was so fake, she hated herself more.
"Are we still friends?"
"Did we ever stop?"
He gave her a hug, he whispered some words in her ears and she tightened her arms around him, like a baby afraid that his mommy would leave on the first day of school, she was afraid he would leave too, leave this world early.
