Shopping

Stopping at the entrance of the doors, " By the way. Go shopping today."

" Doesn't Milo have enough clothes?" I questioned rubbing my forehead.

I heard a slight chuckle, " Not for Milo. For you." He paused as I whipped my head just to see his head peering over his shoulder. For me? For Moi? Wait, was he actually being nice. " You need to look approachable and res presentable as a member of my clan. You can go around looking like the grunge." He just need to added the insult.

He walked off as I snorted. What could I expect, a good soft man? No, he was a mafia boss. But look on the bright side.

I GET TO GO SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!

The one thing I get out of this job, besides Milo. But alas I waited until Milo finished with his breakfast as he wiped his mouth with a napkin like a proper gentleman. " Okay, I'm ready Mommy!" He told me as I picked him up, wrapping his little fingers around my neck as Robertson stood next to me as we headed out the door.

As I stood waiting for the car to arrive I watched a familiar squinted green eyes walked down my path with a black suit and tie. With patches and bandages here and there. " Wow, you actually looked good." I mocked as he looked side to side sending me the bird as I held my hand over Milo's eyes to prevent him being exposed to any thing before it was time.

He definitely hated it. I never required any of my men to dress formal, just lookable. For Cassian, that was looking like a thug with ripped jeans and white sleeveless shirt.

Arriving next to me as he stuffed his hands in his pockets, " I hate this." Cassian groaned.

I slightly chuckled, " It's your job to dress like this from now on." I hinted the fact I saved his ass.

" Fucking bullsh-" Before he could even finish his sentiments my fist smashed in his nose as he yelped. Some blood leaking out as he held his nose. " What was that for?"

I wanted to smack him again for asking such a stupid question, " There is a child, present." I mentioned as I looked at him and back at Milo who was giggling at the fact the strange man he had never met was interacting with his mom.

He leaned over, eyes locked on Milo, " This the kid?" He asked.

" Of course, don't you see the resemblance of Colton." I replied.

Cassian wrinkled his nose like I had just said something weird, " Since when you and the devil get run by first name biases?" He questioned as if I had committed treason.

Since when? Always. Was I giving permission? Hell, no I did not give a fuck if he wanted me to call him by his name or not, I just did. " I ... well I just always do. It's no big deal." I shrugged as he widened his eyes.

" Yeah, like he's not the biggest mafioso in the scene." He muttered as I rolled my eyes, attempting to focus my attention on Milo.

Milo then pointed to Cassian, " Mommy, who is this?" He wondered as I gazed at Cassian who perked his brow and back to Milo. Um, how was I suppose to answer this? I couldn't just say hey this is my ex- henchman who was now an ex- snipers who tried to kill your father and is now acting as a double spy who is seeing who is trying to kill your dad, while also being our bodyguard as he tries to hide both of our secret identity. That sounds that like a good explanation! Not.

I blinked just to make up another lie. Geez, at this point I should go to confession for being a fucking liar. But afterall only the Lord knows my sins, and that was the least of them. I felt a hand touch my face as I snapped out of my spiraling train, " Mommy, are you okay?" Milo voiced.

I nodded, " Yeah, sorry. Um, this is Cass-" I stopped mid sentence as I turned and whispered in his ear, " What's your name?"

He chuckled as he stood proud, " Don't worry, what do you think? I'm not stupid. I wasn't going to give them my actual name. HA!" He boosted as I cocked my brow, " My name is Cass!" He exclaimed as my mouth dropped, I wanted to face plant but I had Milo in my hands.

What hell was in that skull of his because it sure wasn't a brain! Who the hell told him that was logical?

I put my hand on his arm as he stopped laughed as I pinched his arm so hard his skin would fall off as he turned red. " Cass, you're not clever." I stated as I gritted my teeth, soon letting go of his arm.

He wept ed as he rubbed the sore spot, " What did you expect? I had to come up with it on the spot."

" I don't know, Cass. Something that doesn't abbreviate your actually name." I pointed out the obvious as he scratched the back of his head. " Anyways Milo this is Cass. Cass, Milo. He will save as another one of your uncles like Thomas and Robertson."

Milo looked him up and down, and huddling closer , " He's kinda ugly, mommy." He confessed as I chortled dramatically as Cass' eyes twitched.

" Look you little, I am gorgeous normally. I just looked all jacked up now because...." He trailed off not knowing how to finish the sentence. At least, he didn't expose his father.

I shook my head as I turned my head back to Milo, this was my chance to teach him a valuable lesson, " Milo, now look. How people look aren't everything. Some people can be pretty and be very very mean." I began as Cass said yes. " And there are ugly people that can be nice."

" Wait a minute-"

" But the point is you can't judge people on their looks, rather than heart." I finished as he looked at me in awe. His face in a bright smile.

" That means mommy is twice beauti-ful." He beamed as my heart glowed. Aw, this kid. Sometimes I really do wish he were mine.

I heard a snicker coming from Cass as I turned my face to him as he acknowledge, " Still getting used to this mommy thing, I mean aren't you?"

" To be honest yes." I paused as I stared down at Milo as his baby blues touched my soul. " But I think its worth it." I nuzzled my nose against Milo who giggled profusedly as Cass widened his eyes.

Walking towards us Robertson waved, " Kaira, the car is ready!" He announced as the car pulled up with the windows rolled down to see another familiar face.

" Thomas?" I questioned tilting my head.

" Yes, Miss Kaira." He politely responded.

" Um, what are you doing here? I thought you left with Colton." I said honestly.

He took off his glasses cleaning them with a wipe. Damn, he was gorgeous. If I couldn't have Colton, maybe I could have Thomas. He was much more gentleman like. Mmm, a girl could dream. " The Master instructed me to stay with Master Milo and you. Of course, over seeing Cass responsibilities and that he does nothing suspicious." Thomas directly threw his worry at Cass as they glared at one another.

Um, was there something in the room?

" Okay, let's just go shopping then." I cut the tension as Robertson opened the door, followed in as Cass sat on my other side.

Finally arriving at the mall, the place instead of looking busy and rowdy. Looked destitute of life, of people. I fluttered my lashes to see if we where in the right place, or they just took us to a warehouse to finally kill Cassian and me off. " Um, Thomas. Why aren't their people here?" I questioned turning to him.

He cleared his throat, " Well the Master, closed the entire facility down so you could shop at your leisure."

Wow, really? Well Colton is considerate. Wow, now I feel indebted to him, never in my mafia boss life did I do this. Though, I never really went to the mall, I had costumed designed clothes brought for me and to my house. But, now that I think about it why didn't father do this for me? Excuse me, daddy! We need to talk about this.

" Tell Colton, I said thank you." I instructed as he nodded as I looked around looking for somewhere to shop. After an hour or two, I had accumulated a couple of bags of clothes, some necessarily basic like t-shirts, pants, shorts. Of course I can't forget my trusted best friend - you guessed it another leather jacket.

After that I saw a VS Lingerie shop and I told that boys to wait because of course I wasn't going to buy my undergarments with them looking. After all, I was still a proper lady. Selecting, a couple of pieces and I was out in twenty minutes.

I spotted them and the couple bags they held. I didn't do too much damage, just couple hundred. I made my way over as they waited for my next command. " I think that's enough." I tiredly spoke up.

"" Also, Colton wants you to buy a dress?" Thomas added as my forehead creased. Did he just say Colton and dress in the same sentence. Wait, why? I looked over at Cass with the same shocked expression.

" What for?" I pondered.

" Well, tonight there is a special celebration, many guest will be there and Colton would like you to wear a dress for the occasion." He further explained.

Ugh, a celebration. Don't tell me a ball. I didn't hate party just balls, where fake snobby people would come to check out your wealthy and kiss your ass. " I don't really want to go." I addressed.

Thomas just sighed, " I'm sorry, but its not up for debate." He alleged. Damn, I mean I knew it wasn't his fault, Thomas just did what Colton said. It was hard to be the right hand man because that meant you were someone's bitch but a protected bitch. I didn't want to argue so I just gave in.

Then I saw my favorite designer brand, and they costed a pretty penny. I mean should I? Shouldn't I be more discreet about my taste? Hell, Colton didn't say how much I could spend. Hahahhaa. I doved into my favorite stores. The boys sat on the chair as I tried multitude of clothes on. If I was already here, I mean I should have fun with it. I told the boys to rate my outfit.

First, was a simple black long sleeve dress.

" So, what you think?" I asked as I came out.

" Looks basic af." Cass seriously joked.

" Are all the clothes you have to wear be black?" Robertson responded

" It's okay." Milo said as I walked back in. Maybe not the one.

The second was a blue ballgown dress, it had lace and sparkle. It kinda remembered me of a ball, so maybe. I walked out again.

" You look like a princess!" Milo blurted as he clapped. Aw, he always knew how to cheer me up.

" Thanks, baby. And you guys?" I awaited.

" You look like a stuff pig." Cass just had to as Robertson nudged him, " What? It's true, she's short and has stubby legs. How is she going to walk in it?" He gave a valid point.

Robertson rubbed his temples as he replied, " I think it's a bit too much. Colton would like something less." Colton, huh? Like I would give a shit what Colton would think? I am already being forced to go, can I wear something I at least like.

I turned around without a word as I stepped into flower print dress, a bit colorful, but I think it could do. As I stepped out all their eyes widened as they rose to push me back into the changing room. Damn, tough crowd.

I looked at the line of dress as a particular ruby caught my eye. If this didn't make it, it was going back to black. I slipped in the dress silky smooth and impeccable design with lace here and there. Hugging every inch of my body, I shifted in the dress not use to the exposure but I walked out as all the men's jaw dropped.

" Mommy! Mommy! You look beautiful!" Milo exclaimed as the others nodded.

" Absolutely breathtaking. I think Colton will like this." Robertson said giving two thumbs up. My gaze sent to my trusted brother.

He tilted his head side to side, " Unfortunately, I have to agree. You look good." He agreed as a smile over came my face.

I turned to Thomas who stood with an agape mouth as I was about to ask him but he beat me to it, " You- I think you look very lovely, Miss. Kaira." He finalized as I tugged a piece of hair behind my ear. I swore I could see a slight red in his face but I ignored it. Yes, it's over. Now let me just see the price.

My eyes almost popped out my head.

There was no way I could afford this!
