Goodbye

Amber walked into the kitchen with her hands around her chest when she looked to the side of his face. She shifted on her toes when he turned to look at her.

"The guy's an idiot, it's obvious that humans made this shit, the green guy walked straight into the man with the gun."

Amber almost burst out laughing despite her breakdown earlier, "Yeah considering he's a zombie…"

Death stayed looking at her, "Oh...that's a zombie, Nah zombies are way smarter than that. It's so badly produced." He laughed to himself, "They're all green and running into the trouble, making these dumb growls and stalking the opponents instead of thinking, they're not even scary." He gestured to the zombie chasing the man in the movie, only to get shot with his shotgun.

Amber cocked an eyebrow right before a smirk edged on her lips, "You know it kinda reminds me of someone." Her hand covered her mouth. 'Did I say that out loud?'

Death leaned his head at her as if to inquire her to repeat.

She took a step back, almost tripping when he continued to stare at her, well basically it was his shadow. His cloak covering his face.

"What did you say?"

"Uh-uhm—" She stuttered.

"How dare you compare me to that of a zombie, I can never get all bloody and eat brains like those hungry dead walkers. They make my skin crawl." He stood from the chair and she took another step back knowing that he was gonna come for her.

"I—Uhm."

"Darling, you're all flushed, do I intimidate you?" He chuckled darkly, "Because I do not wish to do such, how do you like me? I'll change for you, we could experience all the crazy shit together...steamy adulthood...ness?" He shrugged at his failed words.

"Y-you know...if you're Death then you're—'' She gulped when he walked closer to her, and then blurted the rest," Sorry but like you're practically ancient, you wouldn't last." She covered her mouth again. Shucks.

"I'm not that old, but if you say so, do you tend to test that theory? Ancient=years of experience. Dare to test." He held a hand out.

"I—"

"Mummy did say to leave them speechless. Is this what you meant mother?"

"Your mother must have been completely screwed up in her head if she allowed you to get this way." Death paused at her words, silent before all of a sudden he lunged at her.

"Don't fucking talk about my mother," He snarled with his arm gripped around her throat. Amber's eyes widened by his sudden trigger. She must've overdone, maybe he was protective of his mother.

"Y-you're hurting me." She called him when his hand strengthened on her throat but he made no move on removing it.

"You're hurting me!" Her voice came out low and a whimper got stuck in her throat. She clenched his hand and her eyes were painted in fear when she stared at him, her eyebrows knotted and the hand she was holding him with was trembling.

She looked at him like he was a monster.

Death dropped the girl to the floor, his chest rising and falling when he looked down at her. "You, I'm…" For a second Amber thought, he was going to apologize but scolded herself for even thinking. Demons don't apologize. That's what she saw him as isn't that he is?

"You know, you people are always quick to say things, talk, talk, talk, like do you ever shut the fuck up?"

Amber pushed away on the carpet when he walked up to her, towering above her. "I like you a lot better like this, maybe I'll need to do something with that pretty mouth of yours."

She looked up at him, with glistening green eyes.

"Fuck! Can you not look at me with those big eyes of yours," Death grips his cloak, "I swear your ass is getting on my nerves."

He then leaned over to her and grabbed her wrist and threw her across the room, her back slamming into the coffee table legs.

He walked up to her again when she was dragging away, "I know you're not that innocent that you act to be, your fault you know—" He gripped her hair up to him and then dropped her to the floor again. This time she screamed when she hit her back against the floor. Her lungs spasm."They never appreciated what I did."

She cried when he gripped her hair again, pulling her by her neck to look up at him, he clapped her cheeks together and then breathed into her neck," Because I'm a monster."

She winced when he pushed her again and this time positioned himself over her, cradling her legs with his and holding her hands against the carpet, "Look at you, useless. Only a clueless, teenage girl who thinks her life is shit all of sudden when one bad thing happens, don't be surprised when you lose it all, so intertwined with yourself and the little bad that happens to your perfect girl life that you can't see the world change around you. Until you die from your stupidity!"

Amber squeezed her eyes close, his words stinging. She tried to turn her head away but he gripped her jaw forcing her to look into his darkness.

"That's not true! You don't know anything about me."

He pushed harder, his body heavy on hers.

"Oh, I know enough to know that all you did is hide, pretend because as long as it isn't you, it doesn't concern you, right?"

Amber tongue became heavy in her mouth, her throat dry when she looked at him

But this time when she turned her head away, on her right it was found out. She turned at him again, her eyes wide when finally everything came back.

—Flashback—

'Her mouth was almost touching the floor, she had to be dreaming as the man had the big, long fluffy wings of an angel.'

"Thank you for help but I can't let you know of this until everything is clear. Until we find out what to make of this situation."

"I'm confused, why are you talking like that, until what is clear? Arveion—"

Arveion then place two fingers on her forehead, making circles," March, 21st, 2016 at approximately 10:45 p.m did not exist at your eyes can tell, this day did not happen meaning you will have no memory of it ever happening—"

—Flashback ends—

They're angels. That's why they protected her. That's how he knew Death. Amber felt so stupid. With everything flashing through her brain, she then looked at the coffee table.

The crystal.

'Call me if you need help.'

She forced herself up but got pushed back down again, removing his hand from holding her hands over her head to her shoulders.

Amber spotted a tiny plant pot beside the chair and with her hands now being free reached for the object, clenched her palms around it, and cracked it on his head.

The pot cracked into pieces and the dirt fell along the floor.

'That was my favorite plant.' She thought. It came in handy though, as Death was jerked backward and his hands no longer gripped her.

With her hands free she reached for the crystal and kicked along the floor on her buttocks as Death wasn't too far from her.

She didn't know what to do or how to call them but hugged it to her beating heart, squeezing her eyes shut knowing that Death would get her again.

But before he could reach her a loud blast, blasted through the room, sending everything in a blow along with Death who got slammed back onto the wall across the room.

She opened her eyes to see the damage and once they were open she turned them to the cause, meeting the eyes of Arveion once again, accompanied by Indigo and Arsan, who were smiling at her.

"Amber oh no." Indigo rushed to her, and put a finger on her cheek, "You're bleeding." She then helped her off the floor, "Let's get you out of here." Amber followed her but then turned her head to Death who started laughing, his deep chuckle sending a shiver down her spine

"Mhm, so the birds have six scenes." Death spits blood on the floor and then looks at Arveion, "So the coward is still alive, using that spell isn't going to stop me from getting what I want...I can do more to you than what I did to Davis." He chuckled hoarsely, his chest rising but then falling again in coughs.

Arveion was about to move, his face twisted in anger, but Indigo stopped him, shaking her head when she reached in front of the portal.

"Don't waste your energy on that fool, we need to go before the portal's magic falters."

Arsan went in first, and Indigo had given Arveion a second warning so that he'll enter, however, he did but he was not happy. "Ready?" Indigo asked and Amber nodded looking over her shoulder one more time to see Death standing and looking at her. She got goosebumps and immediately followed Indigo. She's not going back there with him.

Hopefully, she won't see him anymore. Where she's going.

But she knew he'll be back for her.
