Greencloaks.

Immediately the green cloaked figures stalked towards the children. The children, a boy and a girl, finally noticed them and cowered in fear. Look, I didn't want to get into human affairs, but I wouldn't let these Greencloaks do whatever to the children.

I sprinted towards the space that was left between the Greencloaks and the children. I kept moving, closing the distance until the Greencloaks noticed me.

"Retreat!" One of them called, the skinner one. He ran and left the tougher one to fend for himself. The children cowered in more fear when they saw me. The Greencloak unsheathed his sword and lunged at me.

'I'm getting tired of this. When do I not fight?' I asked myself as I easily evaded his attack. But the green cloak was somehow stronger and faster when he lunged again, so this time I drew my blade to block his attack.

His sword started freezing up and becoming brittle, so I used the chance to uproot a flower and stick it into his nose. The Greencloak fell. Struggling.

I looked towards the children, seeing them cuddle up against one another, I felt bad.

I took a few fruits from my inventory and handed it to them. They were skeptical, and the girl shouted something to the that I couldn't understand. After much hesitation, the boy took the fruit and happily muched on it.

I decided to leave, because really, I didn't want to stay any longer. All I did was save some kids; it wasn't like I was getting attached to them. I also noticed that I didn't get any message about exp or anything. That was unfortunate, but it opens up some possibilities.

I never got to finish that line of thought because some soldier came to see the kids, and seeing me with them, he unsheathed his blade.

"Here we go again." I said, sighing. I sheathed my own blade, as I forgot about it. Surprisingly, the kids went infront of me to block the attack coming from the soldier. He ignored the kids and pushed past them, bringing his sword down again.

I may have had some training and practiced, but I'm not OP. The soldier was smarter than I thought, and to doge, I would have to slip and slide, not sidestep. And even if I tried, I would utterly fail, so I had to take my own blade to block.

The kids frantically tried to explain to the soldier. The own soldier kept talking to them, and for all I know he could be talking trash about me. I just kept my face nochalant, nodding as if I understood them. After a long debate, the soldier sheathed his sword.

That's when a maid came- and screamed too. I faceplamed. All I needed was people getting the wrong idea, and I can't just ghost them, otherwise they would think I did something bad to the children and hunt me down.

The soldier and the children explained, but the soldier and maid were skeptical. The soldier beckoned me to follow into their village or something, but I flatly refused by shaking my head. Why would I? But then something crossed my mind. What if they had food...

The soldier beckoned again, and I feigned a sigh- trying to look like I was skeptical but would follow anyway. They led me through two big gets and into a wealthy village. I saw a lot of Quartz. I'll spare you the information and just say the village was cool. Everyone was staring at me like I was some wild animal though.

We entered a certain wealthy house and the soldier left. The maid knocked on the door, and the children leaped at a man who was in his thirties. Or twenties. I don't know, I'm not good at reading ages.

The man said something to me, but I didn't understand. He beckoned me to follow him inside, so I did. Why not? The maid gave me a flask with some yellow liquid in it, and my dumbass thinking it was juice, promptly drank it.

But I'm not saying it didn't taste good. It was like butter layered with honey, delicious liquid that I would taste only once.

"Can you understand me?" The man asked after I was done drinking.

" Yes." I said.
