Chapter 72: What’s the plan?

"-Be her guardian."

He snickered:

"-I knew I may be stupid but I didn't expect myself to be that dumb. Be her guardian. HOW I am going to be her guardian when…" his inner dialogue was cut with a loud noise coming from Besim's house.

He decided to check in.

"-oh god, they are so heavy. I guess I have to leave everything here and leave soon." She looked at the money smiling.

"-As your soul going to leave you soon." A dark voice whispered in her ear. She shivered from fear, she turned to find brilliant red eyes piercing through her soul and a psychotic smile scaring life out of her wrinkled body.

She almost screamed but he choked her on the wall.

"-I guess your husband showed you his tricks before leaving.

-He is so dumb to miss with Elio.

-and you are dumb to miss with his daughter and stay here till now.

-an incubus caring about her, how funny!" she laughed but he tightened his grip around her neck.

"-what are you going to do kill me! They will find out and they will hunt you…she is going to hate you.

-at least she wasn't betrayed by her own kind.

-said the witch who snitched on every woman.

-they deserve it…no one cared about my husband disappearance.

-and no one will care about your too." He smiled before he dig in her chest and pulled her heart.

"-give it to your hubby.

IN HELL." Her corpse fell down and he let go of the women's beating heart to end up on the dirty ground instead of her hand. He step on it before leaving as nothing happened.

He put his mask and went to her house.

He saw Howin walking out of the house.

He went inside and found her in the most miserable state ever.

"-did he really…killed her? At least he done the job for me." Before he left he bent down and took the money.

"-thank you. It was nice working with you." He throw it then caught playfully before leaving.

"-why so soon El.

-I got to go. I am sorry…for everything.

-it wasn't and it won't be your fault." Gau reassured her and a faint smile appeared on her lips.

"-take care.

-you too…boys don't leave her." They both nod at him then glared at each other.

"-what's the plan now?...

***

"-That's it Mal! I need to rest or you will have to think of a way to dispose my dead body!

-Stand up princess, one last round and we are done for today." They finished the last part of their training and everyone went to her room.

She slept for about two hours before the maid woke her up, Mal had to train Ayana at night for security but it's tiring. She got used to spend sleepless nights anyways.

She dressed up and went downstairs to find breakfast table filled with people she forgot.

She leaned down to ask the sleepy girl escorting her.

"-don't they have castles to stay at?

-it's a tradition to host guests till the…" she paused to yawn before finishing:

"-last day of the marriage ceremony.

-do you have enough rooms for this army?

-970 room." Mal turned to face Ayana shocked.

"-don't give me this expression girl, your castle have around 1200 room.

-it's not my castle." She said between grunted teeth smiling at passing guests.

Ayana smiled then pulled her to have breakfast. But the king demanded them in his aisle.

They greeted the king and sat to eat with him.

The curly-haired zooned out playing with food, till she heard someone pulling the chair next to her.

She ignored him and took a sip of her juice.

"-can I know why are we all here leaving guests alone father?

-it's not important, I called you all hear to talk about your behavior." Ayana was listening carefully fighting the urge to sleep but the other two barely were paying attention to him.

"-specially you two." They looked at him carelessly waiting for him to finish:

"-you should be more careful around people, stop with childish act and I am addressing it practically to you Kieran!

-as far as I remember I did nothing wrong or suspicious.

-spent the night glued to Mal and flirt the whole night together is inappropriate for your image.

-First we weren't flirting your highness and second…

-I have ears and eyes everywhere young lady and don't expect me to pass your insulting to one of our guests.

-he was an asshole." Versus glared at her and she didn't bother to apology and Kieran added:

"-I hate to say that uncle but I agree with her this time.

-you are really driving me crazy can't one of you at least…" a sound of a hit and Ayana's head hit the table.

Mal glanced at the angry king and went back to wake the sleeping lady.

"-you are unbelievable.

-let her…she must be tired of training the whole night.

-what training?

-I thought they informed your highness" the prince answered and Mal wanted to murder him at the spot.

"-I can explain we…umm…we were…

-come on Mal is it that hard to tell him.

-Tell me what!" the white-haired boy glanced at her hiding his smirk before looking back at the angry king:

"-Ayana was giving Mal extra lessons to not mess up and upset you, she didn't want to disappoint your expectations for her. Right Mal?

-yes." She said feeling relieved but not fully. The king sighed deeply before he said firmly:

"-listen to me carefully you two, take it as your last warning…you'd better not messed up or embarrass me in front of everyone or…

-don't worry we will give our best to impress you.

-good and…

-cause it will be an unforgettable soirée my lady. Excuse me now uncle I have a lot of things to check before the party." He stood up and gave her a last glance with a hazy smile and left.

She knew he is preparing for something.

Versus knew too he is up to no good. But…

What is he thinking?

What's the plan? ….
