Chapter 1

My name is Elisabeth Marie Coleman. I was born in Bradford to parents, Joseph Coleman and Kirsten Collins. My father is human, my mother was a witch. Living a town full of supernatural beings was quite eventful, there was a never a dull day. As much as I loved this town, it was filled with a lot of bad memories, from my mom walking out on us, being turned into a vampire, my first heartbreak. I needed a break from it all.

I decided to move to New Orleans, I needed a fresh start from everything and everyone. It was leaving my father and friends behind, they were all I had and I had no idea how to how I would survive in big city like New Orleans but I had to leave Bradford.

Being in New Orleans was breathe of fresh air, it was exactly what I needed. No one knew who I was and the atmosphere was amazing. The energy of the place was of this world. You are constantly surrounded by beautiful people, music, art and amazing food.

The only downside was that I was alone. I had no friends and no family so I had to start from scratch. Which is how I meet the. My father has always told me to stay away from the Morgan's because they were bad people who did horrible things to good people, so because of that I always avoided running into them.

Somethings you cannot help. One thing about New Orleans is that when the sun goes down the monsters come out to play and I witnessed that first hand. I was walking home when I was attacked by a vampire. Now that's not something to fret about if you are me- a witch and a vampire- a hybrid basically.

This wasn't an ordinary vampire. It was Chase Morgan. I didn't know if he couldn't tell that I wasn't human but nonetheless he bit me. I'm guessing he was thirsty. I was about to kill him when his brother Adrian interfered, begged me not to kill him and he invited me to their compound. The rest- as they say is history.

I have to leave my father needs me. Word is, Bradford is about to fall apart and I cant lose the only parent I have left. I need to go see him. The last time I was in Bradford was five years ago and the only part I'm looking forward to is seeing my father again. I honestly don't want to see him again. Bradford is a small place so I'll likely see him again.

"Penny for your thoughts."

"Dorian, you scared me." I say and the nerve of him, he merely just smirks at me.

"I'm sorry love, how are you? Are you happy that you going back to Bradford."

"I'm happy that I am going to see my father again. I haven't seen him in a long time and I really missed him."

"What about Flynn Ryder."

I knew was going to ask about that and to be that's all I have been thinking about this whole week, "Flynn and I are done. He broke my heart and I want nothing to do with him."

"I could kill him if you want." For a moment I think that he's serious but he gives me that infamous smirk and I bust out laughing.

"No please don't kill him." As much as I want nothing to do with Flynn, I cannot deny the fact that I still love him and I'll probably always love him.

I can't believe I'm leaving. I have had such an amazing time here, I have made some of the best memories here with my favorite people. The people here have been amazing-when they weren't trying to kill me that is.

Alexia walks in with the rest of the family. I guess it's time to say goodbye to everyone. I really don't want to do this, I hate goodbyes.

I really am going to miss each and and everyone of them. I wish I didn't have to do this but it's time for me to go back home. New Orleans has been good for me, they've been so good to me.

"I guess it's time to say goodbye. I hate goodbyes." I say

Alexia takes my hand and says, "Then let's not say goodbye. This isn't goodbye, we'll see each other. We'll come and visit you in Bradford. This isn't the last time we see each. We're family, remember that, we are connected for life."

I nod, "You're right Lex, we'll see each other again. I'll make sure of it."

We say our goodbyes and promise to see each other again in the near future. Now its time for me to go home. It's a long way to Bradford.
