228. Mona

There was no answer from within. There was no sound of gurgling water and it was quiet. Amurwa started to get suspicious. He grabbed the door handle and slowly opened it.

"Empty," he muttered.

"Then where is my wife, my God, why did she leave me?" Amurwa immediately ran out of the room, ignoring Monik who was stunned to watch him leave.

Amurwa looked left and right, searching for his wife's whereabouts by sweeping his gaze across the room.

"Padmasari! Where are you? Guards, Guards!' Amurwa was really angry. He almost angered the people around him but he immediately stopped his intention when he saw a woman in the same robe as his wife sitting on a park bench holding a child.

Amurwa approached, trying to confirm that the woman in front of him was Padmasari.

"What happened to you, honey?"

"Sob, I was left by Mama Auntie." The woman in front of Amurwa immediately stretched out her hands and tried to comfort the little girl by hugging her.
