Chapter 16 - A winding road unto love.

As their car, sped through the winding roads, Chang Liqin broke the silence, and asked, "Why did you agree to Bao's plan?"

Surprised, Jia smiled with a blush, and said, "Was there a better choice?"

Liqin replied with a laugh, "Could there be a better choice?"

As though satisfied, with the response, she replied, "There's none like my Liqin."

Liqin laughed and said, "Come back. What did you just say? Your Liqin!"

He turned to her and asked, "What if there's competition in the future?"

Jia fiddled with her fingers, looked down, and said, "There's none in the present though."

Liqin tilted his head toward her and asked, "What if there's someone waiting at Zhuhai?"

There was no reply this time. She avoided eye contact, changed the topic, and said, "How would you like to spend your time?"

Liqin sighed and asked, "You didn't reply to my earlier question."

Jia evaded the question, and threw the ball back into his court, and said, "What kind of a reply do you expect?"

That hit the nail on the head, and he replied, "Well, that was my question."

Jia dodged his further advances, and said, "I am a bit drowsy, and would like to take a nap."

Saying that she closed her eyes, and went into a deep sleep.

Liqin placed her head on his shoulder, and murmured to himself, "If I had my way, I would like you to spend the whole time in my arms."

Unknown to him, there was a blushing smile on the face of Jia on hearing his desire.

Back in the Li mansion the grandparents woke up from their nap and left for their shopping trip.
