Another night of torture

Li Jie remained asleep, the night was cold and at the same time, his healing process was starting to take place, his wounds were starting to heal but it was just another night of torture for him.

Li Jie couldn't stand the pain, the healing process hurts ten times more than the actual pain itself, he doesn't want this anymore but it's not like he has a choice, he has to deal with it untill he takes his last breath.

He fell to the floor and remained in pain as he wrapped his arms around his wounded stomach, his eyes were turning from gold to white, gold to white, he was loosing his rage, he wanted to kill someone or else he wasn't going to be at peace, he was thirsty for blood, he wanted to kill someone, anyone, he tried to control it and the same time, endure the terrible pain he felt in his heart and his body, his eyes finally turned white and he had nothing but vengeance in them.

What was happening to him, he can't loose it, he closed his eyes and his scream of agony could be heard outside.

Chyou fen was in tears, she glanced at leader Chang.

"What's happening to my guardian angel?, he's in so much pain."

Leader Chang sighed deeply, Li Jie was going through a lot and he knew, Even leader Chang himself can't stand to bear the healing process, he rather dies than endure the terrible pain.

Zhang Wei glanced at Leader Chang. "What should we do leader Chang?"

"Let him be." he said. "No one must go in there especially at night, he isn't in his right state of mind and going in there could be very treacherous."

"Why, he wouldn't hurt us would he?" Zhang Wei asked but Chyou fen gawked at him.

"What do you mean by that?, my guardian angel wouldn't hurt anyone."

Zhang Wei poked her forehead. "That isn't your guardian angel at the moment Chyou fen."

"I'm afraid Zhang Wei is right." leader Chang added. "He needs more time to get himself back but untill then, no one is allowed to go in there."

He hit his staff twice on the floor stating his words were final, he walked out. Zhang Wei dragged Chyou fen back to his room knowing she can be stubborn enough to disobey leader Chang.

Li Jie's eyes slowly flutter open, the cold morning air swept through him, he slowly got up from the floor but he wasn't steady yet and fell to the ground, he remained on the floor and glanced around the room, where the hell is he?, if he remembered correctly he was blast into the ocean so how did he end up in a a room, who brought him here?, he gazed at it curiously, why did it suddenly look familiar?

The door suddenly opened alerting Li Jie, he wondered who walked in, he slowly got to his feet and his eyes grew wider when he saw Leader Chang in front of him holding a cup of his herbal tea, he handed it to Li Jie.

"Here, have some of this." he said while Li Jie continued to gaze at him still not wanting to believe Leader Chang was standing in front of him, was he dreaming?.

They both sat on the bed while Li Jie sipped his cup of herbal tea, leader Chang kept his gaze fixed on Li Jie.

"How are you feeling?" he asked.

Li Jie looked distraught and confused. "I'm confused, I'm slowly loosing my mind, I'm in pain, there's a voice in my head that makes me go hungry for blood, I want to kill someone, but I don't want to do it. I really don't but it's starting to take over me and I can't stop it, why am I even alive?!" he crushed the cup in his hand out of anger making him bleed.

Leader Chang slowly removed the glasses from Li Jie's hand and his face showed no sign of pain at all as it was removed, this he could endure but the betrayal from his brother and the fact he got seperated him from his wife was so hard to endure, he didn't even get the chance to confess his love to her.

"That lightning wasn't any normal lightning Li Jie, you're alive cause you somehow consumed the lightning in you and it's making you go hungry for evil."

"How do I stop it?!" he asked.

"You can't, You just have to learn to control it, don't let it take control over you, you should be the one Incharge, not it."

Li Jie was still confused about how he was found by leader Chang. "How did you find me?" he asked.

"I didn't, the water brought you to me."

He wrapped Li Jie's hand with a bandage and gave it a light pat.

"Now that you're back, you must remain hidden, run away from here and don't bother coming back."

Li Jie laid on the bed finding it hard to continue speaking since he was still in pain, his handsome face looked grief stricken as he controlled his anger, the rage which kept building inside of him.

"How long has it been?" he asked.

leader Chang stroked his beard. "It's been a year and a half."

Li Jie was struck by it, he's been unconscious for a whole year?!.

"What about my wife, how is she?"

Leader Chang sighed. "Weng Lie has made her his pet, he's a demon now and the ruler of Lijiang kingdom. Your wife is his pet now."

leader Chang didn't want to tell him the truth but if he didn't, thing's might get even worse.

Li Jie's hands balled into fist as he heard leader Chang speak, He's so going to tear weng Lie apart. Since he's so hungry for blood, getting Weng Lie's blood will be a lot more satisfying.

Like leader Chang could read his mind, he immediately spoke up.

"Don't even think about doing anything Li Jie, you aren't stable yet, neither are you in a right frame of mind, you need to calm down and think things through."

Li Jie said nothing as his golden eyes gazed unto the ceiling, he wasn't going to do anything, for now.

Mei jingjing hurried into the dungeon making sure not to be spotted by any of Weng Lie's guards. Surprisingly no one was on guard today, Mei jingjing hurried into the dungeon where she saw most of the people locked up for disobeying Weng Lie and were getting tortured for it, she forced herself to look away and hurried down into the dungeon till she got to where Chao Xua and Haorang where kept.

She hurried to their cells and they gasped at the sight of her.

"Princess, what are you doing here?" Chao Xua asked looking worried, Haorang kept a Stern face.

"You really shouldn't be here princess."

Mei jingjing glanced around to make sure no one spotted her before fixing her gaze on Chao Xua and Haorang.

They looked so untidy and messed up it made her heart ache, she's staying comfortably in the palace cause she's Weng Lie's pet but they're suffering way more than she is and yet they're worried about her.

"I... I brought you guys some food" she brought out the plate of food she hid under her dress and gaze it to them.

"No princess, we can't take this." Haorang said.

"Why not?, you guys haven't eaten in a month."

"If anyone see's you giving food to us, you'll get in trouble and we don't want that."

Mei jingjing shook her head. "You guys are my friends, I'll do this much for the both of you so please take it, don't worry about me, I won't be seen just have this for my sake please?" her innocent eyes looked pleading and they couldn't stop themselves from accepting it.

"You're so kind to us princess, what would we have done without you." Haorang said honestly, Chao Xua nodded in agreement.

"Now I know why the young master was so fond of you, kind hearted people are hard to come by this days.".

Mei jingjing smiled at them. "Stop talking and eat your food." she got to her feet. "I have to go now, I'll come back later for the plate but I have to leave now okay?"

They nodded while eating their food, Mei jingjing left the place without getting caught,she sighed and walked through the hallway.

Seeing the condition of Chao Xua and Haorang made her feel so unhappy, Even the innocent people who were locked up don't deserve to be treated like this.

They aren't animals!, he can't make them starve all day, she doesn't know what the consequences would be but she has to talk to weng Lie about this, whether she likes it or not, she has to talk to him.

She's gotten stronger since the whole year, she won't let Weng Lie carry on treating innocent people like this, she has to talk to him.

She didn't even realize she was actually heading to his bedroom door, she took a deep breath, this is it.

She knocked on the door and Weng Lie's voice could be heard from the other end.

"Come in."
