A Decisive Attack

"Do you think she'll listen to you?" Spider asked the Godfather.

"What do you think?" The Godfather did not answer Spider's question directly.

"Please forgive me. I think she won't follow your instructions completely. In fact, I even suspect that she is about to bring unrest to the entire sect."

The godfather stopped walking and turned to face Spider.

He sighed, then, he continued to reply in a deep voice, "You think so? As a leader, the most basic principle is to have a sense of self-discrimination and foresight. Obviously, Catherine is better than you in this regard."

"I understand what you mean, Godfather." Spider lowered her originally arrogant head piously.

"There are plenty of loyal people within the sect, but these are all bound by long-standing conventions, rules, common sense, and so on. Do you still remember the seven deadly sins?"

"I always remember them, Godfather."

"Committing any sin is a deadly crime, and it is human nature. Obviously, that group of fanatical religious believers were committing crimes against ordinary people. That is not a true religion, but a dictatorship. I hope that after this matter is over, we can learn a thing or two about how not to act."

"Do you want to send our agents to help Godmother?"

"On the contrary, I hope she can complete this matter on her own. Without going through a trial, she will never be a qualified leader of the sect."

After Catherine left the coffee shop, she happened to wander around Time Avenue yet again. Then, her phone rang, showing the same blocked caller ID.

"Give me something." Catherine was fueled with anger.

However, the strange thing was that she also felt unusually calm. She was so calm it was almost scaring her.

"Yes, Your Majesty... Oh no, I mean, my dear Godmother." The voice on the other end of the phone was still as friendly as before, but the strange thing was that the way he addressed Catherine.

"What's wrong with you?" Catherine sensed that something was wrong with the conversation.

"Nothing has happened to me. Please rest assured, my honorable Godmother. If anything, it's because I'm becoming prouder to be part of the Coven every day."

"Really... Okay. Now, your dear Godmother needs you to repay her kindness with your work."

"Of course, but as usual, I need your help. Without you, I would be useless."

Catherine was not in the mood to bicker with the person on the other end of the phone. She only hoped that her subordinates could bring her some useful information.

"I can understand your anger. But you must have heard what the Godfather said before. He doesn't want you to be rash in handling this matter and get angry. Although this group of evil fanatics did indeed do something inhuman."

"Listen well! Now you're working for me, not for him! If you don't get that, then get out of my sight. I don't need a hacker teaching me how to be a good leader!"

Finally, Catherine could not control her emotions and screamed into the phone receiver. Just as she was gasping for breath, she suddenly realized that something was wrong.

She glanced at the Apple computer in her hand and asked carefully, "Did you... Hack my computer?"

"Yes, Godmother. From the first day you started, I hacked your computer, including your work email. You didn't... Just find out, did you?"

"I knew it!" Catherine threw the computer on the ground angrily. "Enough! I don't want to hear any more about hacked devices and companies. Can we get to the main topic now?"

"Of course, godmother. But you may have to wait a little longer."

"What do you mean!?" Catherine didn't seem to understand what he said.

"Please keep an eye on the big screen in Times Square, and then find a place with a public network to wait for our enemies' opening ceremony. If the rumors are true, then they will definitely leave some traces of their whereabouts as they take over the screen, so it will be easier for us to track down this group of rampant heretics."
