Chapter 14

    He brought his hand down on her neck but before he could do anything, he was already dislodged from her. Again with the surprisingly damaging punches, he thought as he tried but failed to get up. 

       Ariel stood up and faced him. "Who are you exactly and what's your problem, this boy has done absolutely nothing to you but you keep on hurting him?!", she said angrily. Chad used this opportunity and threw the knife. If it met her, it would kill her immediately since her back was to him, leaving a clean blindspot. 

        Half a second later, the sound of piercing flesh was head. Chad smirked but shouted angrily when he saw that the guy had used his hand to receive the knife instead. "Dude what's your problem, she's not your girlfriend or sister so what the heck?! ", he said. The guy was suddenly in front of him, raining down punch after punch despite the fact that his hand had a massive gash in it. 

        Chad was left beaten black and blue and unable to move. He just fell back and fainted again. 

       When he saw that Chad had fainted, he finally stopped punching him. Ariel stood bravely. Maybe calming down gave her confidence. The guy suddenly touched the crystal before Ariel could stop him. He hissed a little as the gash in his hand burned till it healed on its own. 

       "Earth's crystal has some really good healing powers", she thought. Suddenly, she felt energy rippling through her threatening to rip her apart, she couldn't stand it so she fainted.

        Even though she had fainted, she could still feel and smell. She smelt chocolate with a hint of vanilla. She felt like she was surrounded by a warm and fuzzy energy. "Is this heaven? ", she asked her subconscious. She seemed to have woken up a little by now, she cracked her eyes open and saw the most amazing piece of green ever. It was like her life crystal but brighter. She tried to look more but tiredness overcame her. 

         Later

She felt like she had slept for 92 hours straight. She looked around but could only see darkness. She touched whatever it was that she was laying on and saw that it was a really big hammock with ropes hanging from every side. 

       She tried to feel her life crystal but only came up blank. Nothing showed. She heard a small rumble and she started. She was really hungry. She tried to come down from the hammock but on second thought stopped. Who knew what was down there and in the darkness, she was blinder than a bat. 

        She fell asleep after hours of contemplating which was better : Chocolate chip cookies or vanilla sprinkles cupcakes. After what seemed like 500 years, she felt powerful energy wafting through the air. She reached out her hand and grabbed nothing. 

        She expected to get something since she felt the energy so tangible but energy was, at the end if the day still energy. She then sat on the hammock and tried to meditate to see if she could connect with the owner of the energy. 

         After about two minutes, she felt the energy enveloping her. It was calming, soothing infact, despite the fact that the owner was trying to expel killing intent. She made her own energy envelope the owner to irk them. It worked as some of that killing intent got directed at her. 

         She chuckled and withdrew. The owner seemed to calm down and continued to remove their killing intent. She snickered and made her energy over whelm the owner. This time, the owner caught her and directed all their killing intent straight at her.

         She almost fell off the hammock. This person really wanted to kill someone, and fast too. She was too shocked to move and she thought she might have seen the energy laughing. Yep, she was going crazy.
