Chapter 23

Ariel was bright red. Girlfriend? She couldn't even survive being his student. It seemed like all mothers matched their children to others. She looked at Allen. She scoffed internally. The day Allen became her boyfriend was the day her little brother would put the lid down on the toilet seat. Allen seemed too celibate to do those things and she actually needed a wild card, not a prickly boss.

Speaking of her brother, she really missed him. And other members of earth. She considered asking Allen for a grant to go to earth. She walked over to him.

Allen was cool and calm but inside, he was fuming and there was a volcanic eruption going on in his soul. Why on earth did Andrews bring his mother here? She was obviously going to matchmake he and Ariel. And he wasn't interested in winning over some ridiculous girl with some ridiculous proposal.  But Andrews had did him in.

Andrews gulped and Asimuthia started his funeral procession. "Listen, guy...dude... Boss... King... Lord, please forgive me, I didn't know what made me such a talkative when aunty and I were together, I shouldn't have brought her.  But why are you so scared of her, there is nothing she can do to harm you and the matchmaking would stop if you explain everything to her", Andrews delivered what he hoped to be a saving grace speech.

Allen sat on the sofa and immediately transformed the beautiful sofa into an overwhelming throne with his posture and suffocating aura. He sighed and gestured for everyone to leave. As it turned out, Ariel didn't see the gesture as she was lost in thought at that time.

Allen had gone silent and his eyes were closed. Ariel finally broke out of her reverie and walked to him, determined to ask for a grant to go back to earth. As she got to him, she placed a hand on his coat covered forearm to tap him but didn't expect what would happen next.

Allen had pinned her to the wall behind the chair with one hand behind her back and the other stretched high above her. All in the space of a second. Ariel wanted to kowtow him. This dude was freakishly fast. She blinked her big blue eyes repeatedly.

Allen frowned and then relaxed his hold on her but didn't actually release her. "Sorry little one, I thought everyone had left. What do you want? ", his voice sounded strained.

Ariel looked frustrated. Hey, great lord, could you atleast fully release me, I'm too close to greatness. "I wanted to ask if I could visit earth sometime",she said in a tiny voice as she was feeling the restrained anger he tried to bottle up.

Allen looked at her for a couple of seconds and then slowly nodded. "But you have to go on my rules and you have to go when you're partly done with your training", he said. Ariel groaned. This training again.

Allen looked at Ariel's annoyed face and felt himself smiling. She always tried to act big and boyish but in the end was a little girl that needed protecting. Her big and round eyes complemented her beautiful face and she looked so cute that even babies would awn at her. He finally realized the word he was looking for. Ariel Powers was a baby.

While Allen was smiling, Ariel was smitten. Oh my goodness!!!!!! Her protector retained this cute look. She thought his smirk was cute but why did his hint of a smile make her want to kiss him and make him her official number one kitten.

He already had rugged features but unlike any of the males she'd seen, his perfectly cut out face made him look boyishly cute. And now he was smiling.

What neither of them knew was that,  Allen's mother were in the same living room at that very moment. Andrews felt the need to correct his mistake and had caught up with Allen's mother to explain the situation. She was sure that they were dating and Andrews told her to go alone to the mansion.

That whatever she saw them doing would be the truth. And then she saw them doing this.

From her perspective, it looked like Allen had given Ariel a kabedon. Her hand was touching his behind her back which meant that his hand was behind her back. Her other hand was plastered on the wall, entwined in Allen's palm. And their faces where close enough to breathe each others oxygen.

The worst part was that there was a hint of a smile on Allen's face. Although it was a hint, he never smiled. He was always either looking neutral, frowning or smirking. But here was his genuine smile.

Allen's mother looked like she was about to cry. She had forgotten how cute her son looked when he smiled. Ever since he started his company, he never smiled. No matter what. But now there was this girl with this blockhead son of hers making him smile. She made sure to silently close the door after taking a picture for keepsake purpose.

Allen himself didn't even realize that he was smiling. Ariel was gradually becoming redder. He then frowned. "What is it little one, are you suffocating?", he asked as he check her face. She became even redder and firmly pushed him away.

"You shouldn't stay that close to a member of the opposite gender for too long", she said and ran upstairs. He furrowed his brows and shook his head as he went back to work.

Allen looked distressed when she woke up the next day. He was so worried that he didn't even see her sneak up behind him. She peeked at his phone and saw that he was reading a text sent by his mother.

She didn't want to invade but curiosity overcame her. She hid behind the curtains and waited till he left the living room. Thankfully,he had dropped his phone.

She swiped up, it wasn't protected with a password lock. She opened the messages and saw one particular one.

Mom: Darling, your dad just told me that he wanted you and your fiancee to come to the castle tonight, He wants to meet her.

Allen: Mother, tell father that I have no       fiancee, he'll have to be satisfied with ME only.

Mom: (:-(:-(:-(:-( Allen White, you will.         go down there with Ariel Powers or.           marry prudence Sienna. Your choice.

Allen: Mom please, anyone but prudence sienna.

Mom: personally, I prefer Ariel but.             since you want to marry prudence that much, there you have it.

Ariel actually felt sorry for him, it must have been hard. He either had to go with  his student or marry someone he didn't want. "What's he gonna do now? ", she asked herself. "I'm going to marry prudence", he said with a calm expression but with annoyance written in his eyes.

Ariel jumped and threw the phone out of her hands. Luckily,  it landed on the sofa behind, but there was a little crack on the screen. "You scared me", she said as she patted down her chest. He rolled his heavenly orbs at her and picked up the cracked phone.

He furrowed his brows when he saw the messages. 'I'm being tied to an annoying woman without any of the normal motions of courting, shit',  he thought. Ariel looked at him sadly.

"Hey, uh Allen, how about you take me, after all, it was take me to meet your father or marry prudence Sienna. We can pretend to be a couple for a while", she said.
