Don't Drool

A strange sense of peace engulfed her. She was not sure why but her heart was extremely happy. Her hands were wrapped around something warm and comfortable. A scent of fresh cinnamon soothed her and she snuggled close to the thing she was holding.

This pillow smells so good, she thought subconsciously. She nuzzled her nose against it, wanting to sniff it more. Why did it smell so good? Why?

"Do not drool on me," a cold voice spoke up.

"I'm not drooling," Lillian mumbled in her sleep. "Just sniffing-"

Her eyes snapped open to see that she was hugging someone's chest. She held her breath and slowly looked up to meet Lucas' gaze. For a moment, they stare at each other.

He slowly raised his hand. Lillian was frozen to her spot, wondering what to do. Was he going to hug her? Or something more? What was he going to do?
