'Won't you,'

The whole car ride none of us spoke to each other. Jayden looked mad for some reason and when he pulled into the cafe's parking lot only he talked 'What do you need,' he asked me his tone getting rough 'What are you getting,' 'I asked 'what do you need,' 'Why are you mad at me,' 'I'm not,' he yelled 'Then why are you yelling at me,' 'Are you ashamed of seeing with me or something,' he looked straight at me his voice still deep than usual 'Jayden where is this coming from,' 'Well why the hell did you have to say to that guy that you won't be going to homecoming with me and instead your not coming at all,' 'What ?,' I asked confused and mad and raising my voice 'Stella you sure as hell knew that I got the tickets for you and me,' 'No I didn't, cause you never asked me and I don't know whether you know or not but it won't be quite imaginable that the hottest guy in the school ask me,' at that point we went dead silent and I swallowed my words as I realized what came out and we both looked away. I thought he'll say something but he just got out of the car and went to the café I think as I couldn't see anything as the it was blocked by cars. I never realized that Jayden was hot temper and his temper quite shook my nerves, after about fifteen minutes Jayden came back with coffee in one hand and flower bouquet in the other I was overwhelmed but touched. I got out of the car and I could see he's cooled down, he walked towards to me smiling as I leaned onto the car my arms crossed as he stopped about three feet away 'Stella Davis will you go to the homecoming dance with me,' I couldn't help but smile but hid it and asked 'Mr. Elroy what make you think that I'll say yes to you after those grand romance gestures I got and turned them down while you have the confidence to ask me with just a bag of two coffee cups and a small flower bouquet,' he took a step towards me as I stood straight and took a deep breath 'Won't you,' our eyes met and I couldn't ignore the feeling this time, my heart beat was rising and I was slowly being drawn to him and then he really turned me on bad as he raised his eyebrow we were so close and it was so intense between us. The feeling that my brain was resisting and rejecting my heart from the time I first saw him in the cafeteria now gave in and he slowly touched my face and drew back a piece of my hair and as I unconsciously bite my lip, he drew me towards him by my waist and we kissed.

It was the most wonderful thing I felt all my burden and worries go pass me and I wished it could have lasted for more that a few seconds but I couldn't get myself too attached as soon as my brain regained consciousness I slowly pulled away and met his eyes that were sparkling and dancing with happiness. 'So I'll take that as a yes,' he asked smirking 'Don't get ahead of yourself,' I said as I got the flowers from his hand and got back into the jeep. Before I got down I asked him 'Why sunflowers,' looking at the flowers 'Don't you like simplicity,' I smiled 'You know I've never seen you smile like this,' 'What, I smile all the time,' 'Except this time you don't bare anything behind your smile,' I looked at him, for the first time in my life someone has seen through me and he was right. 'Well you are coming for the game tomorrow right ?' 'Mmm I mean,' 'What ?,' 'Well I don't have ticket, I'm sorry,' 'Here,' he got the ticket from the cabby and gave it 'It was for my dad he won't be coming anyway,' and I got it and got out of the car 'Thank you,' I waved and walked towards my house. I opened my house door to see Kate playing with Emma Leo and the puppy who I totally forgot about 'Hi Stella,' Kate said as I closed the door behind me 'Thank you so much Kate,' 'Don't you have work today ?,' shoot I totally forgot with everything that happened today 'Ahhhh,' 'I'm guessing you got asked to the homecoming dance and that made you forget it didn't it,' she asked as she got up from the floor and made me sit next to her in the couch 'Who was it?, Jayden right ,' I looked at her surprised 'How did you know,' 'I always know who my boy is looking at but sunflowers I though he's got more game,' and I couldn't help but laugh 'Kate, Thank you seriously thank you so much,' 'It's not a big deal don't worry I'll babysit them and take care of the puppy while your not at home, for many years to come,' 'How can I ever repay you,' 'Just take care of yourself your too thin and of course dinner at least once a week,' 'Deal then see you tomorrow for dinner after the game,' we hugged and she left.

It's been a while since a mother figure entered my life or never at all. It felt wonderful to be concerned for and cared by but everything has it's cost to pay what was my cost to pay for Kate and Jayden. It just seemed too good to be true but letting my guard down was is still my only option but somehow I actually felt for the first time that was living for me and not for Emma or Leo. I felt I could breathe again freely and how much my brain was rejecting my heart towards my feelings for Jayden my whole body rejected my brain and was I actually falling for him or was it just my mind playing tricks on my heart to stop me feeling to damn lonely.
