No Regrets

I'm sitting in the garden with Dria. It quickly became my favorite place at the house. We come out here everyday and sit and talk for hours. We have gotten pretty close and I really enjoy her company.

It's been almost a week since I last talked to Alessi. I've avoided him like the plague and it's helped that he has has a lot of work to do. I can't stop myself from missing him though. He consumes my thoughts almost all day making it hard to hate him.

"So what's going on with you and my brother?"

I look at her wondering if she really has no clue what happened. I guess she understands my look because she quickly adds.

"I mean I know you two dated in high school and when he came back he was really to himself. It's understandable since our parents died and he was almost shot up the day he came back, but it seemed like there was more to it. Was it a bad break up?"

"You really want to know?"

I look into her eyes knowing that after I tell her she'll always look at me with pity. She nods her head so I sigh before I tell her.

"Well that day that he came back, we were in an accident. So apparently the men who were after him showed up. They shot Miles, our best friend, and since he was driving, we wrecked. My sister, Ady, was killed on impact. I was knocked out with a gun, and Luke or Alessi was never found. He was presumed dead. We had a memorial for him and everything."

I feel tears pricking my eyes as I recall what happened. I look to Dria expecting her to look at me sadly, but her eyes are filled with rage.

"I'm going to kill him."

She spits out her words as she marches to the house. I quickly collect myself running after her yelling for her to calm down. Apparently, Alessi didn't have work today so he was able to hear my pleas to his sister. I saw him coming down the stairs looking at Dria and then at me. Dria storms up to him and starts hitting him and calling him all sorts of names. He looks completely baffled as he cowers down from his sister. I bust out laughing at the sight causing both of them to look up. The two weeks that we have been together they haven't heard me laugh much less smile. I laugh even harder at the fact that I'm finally laughing at none other than the Italian Mafia leaders fighting like children. Soon Alessi and Dria join in with my laughing fit. I double over with my side cramping. This is the happiest I've been in a while. I smile over at Alessi as I realize that maybe I'm ready to forgive him.

Alessi POV

I hear Emilia's voice downstairs. I haven't talked to her in several days and I miss her voice. I just miss her. I make my way downstairs to be bombarded with my sister as she starts assaulting me throwing punches and slaps. I quickly cower down to block her shots. What in the world have I done know? I'm quickly distracted when I hear the most beautiful sound in the word. Emilia's laughter fills the room and it's like music to my ears. I didn't think I would ever get to hear her laugh or see her smile again. She is laughing so hard that tears are streaming down her face. Dria and I look at each other before joining in. It feels so good to laugh with Emilia. Once she collects herself, she looks up at me smiling and I feel like I've been transported back to high school.

"You think that's funny do you?"

I quickly make my way to her wrapping my arm around her so I can tickle her. I run my fingers up and down her ribs as she laughs and screams out. Soon Dria is beside me tickling me and I almost drop Emilia. I fall to the floor with her and Dria quickly pounces me. They team up on me and both start tickling my ribs.

"Okay. Okay. I give up."

I pant out with my hands in surrender. Soon all three of us are laying in the living room floor in a comfortable silence. This has been the best day I've had in a long time. I look over to Emilia catching at her looking at me. She quickly looks away blushing and I let out another laugh. Dria sits up looking at us.

"I bet supper is about ready. I don't know about you two, but I'm famished."

Emilia quickly agrees getting up to her feet joining my sister on her way to the dining room. I watch them both walk off before following after them.

Emilia POV

Supper is filled with light conversation and it's the most I've spoken to Alessi at one time. I can't get over how happy I feel. After we eat, Dria complains that she's bored and that the three of us haven't hung out quite enough.

"Let's play a game guys!"

Dria practically squeals causing Alessi to groan.

"Stop that. I'm going to go get some alcohol and shot glasses. Prepare yourselves."

She informs us as she runs out of the room to collect her "game" supplies.

"A drinking game?"

I nervously question Alessi. I don't have much experience with alcohol besides trying an occasional drink. He chuckles at me before nodding his head.

"It won't be too bad my innocent Rose."

I immediately blush at him. Cursing him for having such an effect on me, I decide to mess with him.

"Hmm. Are you sure I'm so innocent?"

I hum out at him watching him frown.

"I don't like where this conversation is going, but go on and tell how you're not so innocent."

Thankfully, Dria came into the room allowing me to avoid that conversation. Honestly I am pretty innocent. I don't drink and I've only ever been with one person and that only happened twice. And that person is sitting across the floor from me.

"Okay. We are going to play Never Have I Ever. Get your shots ready. I'll go first. Never have I ever killed someone."

Dria smirks at Alessi knowing that he will have to take a shot being the freaking mafia boss and all. I quickly down my shot receiving a incredulous look from Dria.

"A story for another day."

She only nods her head as Alessi takes his turn.

"Never have I ever slept with a teddy bear in the last five years."

I watch Dria flip him off before taking a shot. I let out a laugh at both of them.

The rest of the night went by fast with Dria and Alessi taking way more shots than me. I don't really have a high tolerance, though, so I'm still feeling the affects pretty strongly. Soon I realize that the game has stopped due to Dria being passed out on the floor. I let out a chuckle before I try to speak noticing how heavy my tongue is and how my words slur together.

"Do I need to go get her teddy?"

I laugh at my own joke and watch as Alessi doubles over. We laugh together for a minute before he suddenly stops and stares at me. I feel my face get hot from his sudden attention. I feel my eyes drop down to his lips wondering if they still taste the same. He notices my gaze and smirks at me before closing the distance between us. Our lips meet and he pulls me onto his lap before continuing our kiss. We kiss until my lips are numb and swollen. I slowly pull back and see his eyes darken. He quickly stands up with me wrapped around his waist before he attacks my lips again. I gasp at the sudden impact and he takes advantage pushing his tongue in. He fights for dominance and I quickly give in letting a small moan out. My hands find their way to shoulders and I hold on for dear life. His closeness and kisses make a heat spread throughout my body. We don't make it far before he lays me on a couch in the next room. Clothes fly off as we continue to kiss and hold each other.

**

I hear a loud shriek causing me to jump up. It's a bad decision though as a crashing headache causes my vision to tunnel. I slowly peek my eyes open trying to avoid the harsh sunlight seeping through the windows. I see Dria standing in the doorway with her hand over her face. Odd. I quickly look down to realize I'm naked. I grab the blanket on the couch to cover myself only to uncover Alessi. Oh gosh no. What did I do? His eyes flutter open as he takes in his surroundings. His eyes fill with love as he takes in my appearance but they soon fill with panic.

"Umm. Guys can I look now?"

Dria's voice holds so much humor, but I'm struggling to breath right now. I just slept with Alessi.

"Emilia. It's okay. Are you okay?"

I look down to Alessi who is looking at me with concern. I see him looking at my shaking hands and I realize my whole body is shaking. I nod my head and I sprint up the stairs to my room. What the heck did I do?

Alessi POV

I run my hand through my hair as I throw on my pair of shorts.

"I'm dressed now."

Dria removes her hand and lets out a loud laugh. I grip my head as it pounds. I glare at her causing her to laugh even harder.

"Next time, get a room. I don't appreciate seeing my brother half naked with a girl on top of him. Even if it is Emilia."

She continues laughing as she makes her way to the kitchen. I follow after her knowing I need coffee and food. My mind wanders to Emilia. I'm sure she is freaking out right now. I think about how badly she was shaking. I can't believe I slept with her. Not that I regret it. Far from it actually. I grab extra painkillers, coffee, and breakfast before I make my way up the stairs. I knock on her door waiting for her to answer. I hear a faint 'come in'.

"I brought you some stuff to help with the hangover."

She nods at me not meeting my eyes. That won't do. I make my way over to her and tilt her head up to look at me.

"Don't look away from me. There's no need to be embarrassed."

Her face turns a darker shade of red.

"It's just that I don't remember last night. So did we..."

Her question dies from her lips as she looks down.

"I don't remember last night either. No big deal. But I'm pretty sure you know we did."

I smirk down at her as I watch her clench her thighs together. She gulps and nods quickly.

"Do you regret last night, Rose?"

She stays quiet for a minute thinking. My heart breaks more as the seconds pass by.

"I don't think so."

Her voice comes out as a whisper and I see a small smile tugging on her lips. I let out a chuckle causing her to smile wider. I give her a kiss on the forehead before heading to the door.

"I'll see you later okay? I have work. Get some rest."
