Just as the image of the outfit fully formed in her mind, Neivayka felt a tingle across her skin, then the soft leather encased her legs and torso. Surprised, her eyes popped open, and she looked down in joy, knowing that she had succeeded.

Delight filled her, more at the familiar comfort of her clothes than the ability to change at will. She looked up and saw the same look on her mentors’ face… well, minus Steval, who had a frown creasing his forehead.

“I thought we said into what we were wearing?” he grumped.

Neivayka shrugged. “I didn’t do it on purpose. But this outfit is a bit more comfortable anyway.”

Iola laughed and hugged her. “You did great, my daughter. Now… it’s time to learn the powers of water.”

Neivayka followed her over to an area that only held three shrubs. They were shaped after were horrifying creatures, the type of monster’s little girls woke up crying about at night.
