Chapter 99

She caught Theo’s eyes and saw the gravity of the situation reflected deep in his purple depths. He was not immune to the implications either, or it didn’t look like he was happy about it any more than she was.

“Came back from the dead?” one of the people scuffed.

Neivayka raised an eyebrow at the tiny little rabbit with horns. To all else, he looked like a huge hulking man that towered over everyone. But to Neivayka, he was a tiny little rabbit that was giving her the weirdest look. She gave him a knowing smile that made him glance down at himself to make sure his illusion was still working.

“Yes… basically. The thing is, I was never actually dead. But, either way, I came back to claim what is rightfully mine. My body and my throne,” she promised them.

“How do we know you’re not going to leave us again? Leave us in the hands of The Shadow Queen again?” A petite woman from the back asked as she pushed her way to the front.
