Chapter 105

“My great-grandmother,” came a voice from the doorway.

Neivayka looked back and frowned at Theo as he closed the door behind him.

“What are you doing up?” she scolded him.

“Heard you talking and wanted to see who it was that was keeping you company,” he explained before dismissing her.

Theo returned his attention back to Harmon and gave the older man a sad look that clearly said that Theo thought the guy was a bit senile.

“You can’t ask her. She passed away a long time ago,” Theo explained sadly.

Harmon hesitated and shifted nervously on the porch, obviously wanting to say something more but was rethinking it.

“Harmon?” Neivayka prompted him.

Harmon’s grey eyes flashed between Theo and Neivayka and his lips stayed sealed.

“You disagree?” Theo said with a chuckle.

“Yes,” Harmon said firmly.

Theo shook his head, still chuckling. “Alright. Why do you disagree?”
