Chapter 108

“Where’s Harmon?” Neivayka asked Theo quietly.

She could feel the heat on the side of her head where Theo’s violet eyes burned.

“Harmon is in the great hall where the table of the Elders used to be,” Theo told her.

Without another word, Neivayka swept out of the room, feeling the heat of Theo’s gaze on her still. The minute she exited; she heard the creature beginning to plead once more. This time it was in Pontius’ voice.

“Knock it off! Don’t be stupid. I know you are the skinwalker. Especially now!”

Neivayka smiled slightly as she walked away at the sound of exasperation in Theo’s voice. The Great Hall wasn’t as great as it once was, but wooden shards and broken furniture that had been scattered around the room were stacked neatly in the center. From the looks of it, they must have spent most of the night cleaning.

Harmon was sitting on the only chair in the room and staring down at the pile of debris as if he could make it all magically fix itself.
