Traitor 2

As Ena was writing down the information she knew, the door opened with a creak revealing Ellie who brought a pie and water in.

"Are you finished yet?" asked Ellie.

Looking up, "Of course not, there's a lot of information about my family." said Ena in a "duh" tone.

"Well, can't argue with that, it's true anyways. But stop writing for now, I brought food and drinks." said Ellie.

"You didn't poison it?"

Ena asked in a skeptical tone and raised her eyebrows, there was proof she didn't place anything weird in it.

"Of course not, how could I poison my worker?" asked Ellie.

"I don't work for you, I'm only doing this cause I have no choice." said Ena.

"Mhm, we're going to work together anyways. Now eat."

Ellie cut a piece of the pie and brought it in front of Ena who shook her head, "I can eat by myself."

"Can you really?" asked Ellie narrowing her eyebrows.

Ena was frustrated at the chains that tied her wrists, she couldn't even eat by herself.

"Fine."

Ellie smiled at her reply and brought the piece of pie in Ena's mouth. Ena was surprised at the delicious taste of the pie, it's the first time she's tasted a pie in this world. It had a lemon like flavor, with honey, and a tint of strawberry with sugar and cream.

"Delicious right?" asked Ellie.

She didn't reply and kept eating as Ellie fed her along with water to digest everything. After they finished eating, Ellie took the pieces of paper that was written with information and started reading through it.

Then sudddenly, Ellie let out a loud, high pitched, laugh, "HAHAHA!~"

Ena nearly jumped when she heard the loud chuckle, the turned over to see what she was laughing at.

"What's so funny?" asked Ena furrowing her eyebrows.

"You can come in now!" yelled Ellie.

'Is she ignoring me..?'

Her thoughts were switched when she saw the man come in through the door.

'Edward Everard.'

"Edward, come look at this." said Ellie

As Edward started reading it, he let out small laughs time to time.

Edward looked over at Ena, "You really don't know much."

Once again, Ena had no idea what they were talking about and they wouldn't tell her.

"Ena, how much do you know about me?" asked Ellie.

"Quite a bit, becoming a genius and one of the best magic wielders at the age of 12, along with earning dozens of rewards for your high intellect. Also coming from one of the bloodlines who has one of the rarest magic in the world, you're basically a goddess to your bloodline." said Ena.

"Accurate enough, now what about Edward here? I expect you to know a lot about him." said Ellie.

Of course Ena knew a lot about him, he was close to her father after all.

"Edward eon Everard, age 30, duke of Everard. Unlocking mana at the age of 3 which was abnormal, wielding magic at the age of 7, even being smarter than adults at the age of 10. However, due to you being born with a mother who couldn't wield magic, not much people paid attention to you. At the age of 12, you proved yourself by saving citizens from robbers which gathered just enough attention to you. That was when you met my father, although you pushed him away, he kept talking to you, and you both eventually became great friends."

"And I didn't forget the hidden magic of yours. The ability to produce wood from the ground, wood magic. The magic that hasn't been seen over decades and someone who's only half royalty wields it. The king before my father saw use in you and gave you the credit you deserved, but he gave you too much credit. In the end, he was only using you for the city. Soon, your-"

Before Ena could continue any more, Edward cut her off, "That's enough." He said in a stern voice.

The once calm atmosphere was gone, it was a bit heavy, but Ena paid it no mind and continued to stare at the 2 figures in front of her.

"It seems you know a bit too much about Edward." said Ellie.

"How could I not? Father would always talk about his bestfriend." said Ena looking over at Edward.

"That's to be expected, but how did you know about his past?" asked Ellie.

"I looked into it." replied Ena.

"There were documents on it?" asked Ellie.

"Nope, there were no documents on it. I did the research by myself, whatever happens in the world will always be somewhere in history. Since my father would often talk about someone named Edward, I looked everywhere and wrote everything I found and put pieces and pieces together. Although it took quite a bit of time, it was definitely worth it. If the Valor family wasn't suspicious, your family would definitely be the most suspicious on my list. But since you were my father's friend, I naturally didn't mention you." said Ena.

Edward and Ellie was surprised at the ability of Ena once again, even in their younger days, they weren't this abnormal. Her ability was simply unreal, anyone would get their hands on her if they knew of this. Thank goodness she didn't wield magic, the balance of the world would collapse.

"Your intellect is truly on another level, are you sure you're just an eight years old?" asked Ellie.

Ena smiled, "Of course I am, I just get bored often, and studied whenever I was bored."

Of course this was a lie, she was actually an old woman reborn into this world. Since she was given a second life, she made sure to do everything she wanted. But she never expected it was going to lead to something like this....

Ellie and Edward was again bewildered at what the younger one just said, the fact that she gained this type of ability by studying when she was bored was even more abnormal.

"Well, I guess I can't be surprised anymore in my lifetime." said Edward.

"Indeed." added Ellie.

Ena didn't care what they thought, she only wanted to know once thing.

"I've answered your questions, why don't you answer mine now?"

They both to turned to Ena, "What is it?" asked Ellie.

"Why don't you tell me about my family's history?" asked Ena.
