"I'm sorry, but I just want to clarify if it was already sold or just reserved?" Yang Zi asked the attendant.

"Well, I am not sure either, Madam. I will first ask our manager if you don't mind waiting for a little bit. He is currently busy at the moment." The attendant said.

"Okay, if it is already reserved, tell the manager that I wanted to speak with him." Yang Zi stated. It is against the company's rule to reserve an item, especially the limited editions.

A little while later, the attendant came back together with the annoyed manager.

"Madam, this is Manager Wen, our store manager." The attendant introduced the manager to Yang Zi. He is a man in his thirties and he looked sternly at Yang Zi.

"So, you are the Manager here. I want to see the LUNA necklace. I heard you have the one piece of that necklace here." Yang Zi said to Manager Wen.

Manager Wen looked at her from head to foot and it seems like she is not rich because she's wearing ordinary clothes. But who would have thought that Yang Zi is wearing a custom-tailored suit from Italy? An ordinary person can't recognize it without looking closely at the fine details of the suit. So he said, "Indeed, we had that piece here but it's already unavailable." The manager said."

Little Chen was astonished by the manager's behavior. He is looking down on Yang Zi.

Yang Zi just smiled lightly and said, "May I ask the reason why it's unavailable? Is it sold already?"

The manager did not answer directly as he looked around before saying, "Look, Miss. It's none of your business if it is sold or not. It's already unavailable, so please choose another item."

Yang Zi's eyebrows met, then she calmed down a bit. "Well, I was hoping I could take a look at it and buy it. I am willing to pay in cash right away."

"An important figure already wanted to buy it this afternoon, Miss. So, please let's not waste each other's time." Manager Wen said with an irritating voice.

"Then, I am still eligible to buy it. If I am not mistaken, it is against the rule of this store to reserve items, especially the limited edition." Yang Zi looked straight into the manager's eyes.

Manager Wen was shocked because he did not think Yang Zi knew that rule. But he calmed down a little, believing that Yang Zi is just an ordinary person. He laughed lightly and said, "Where did you hear such a rule? Stop talking nonsense. If you are not here to buy anything, then please leave. The item you are looking for is unavailable here."

Yang Zi was about to respond, but an annoyed voice of a woman sounded behind. "Mr. Wen, I'm going to buy all these items. It's all 50% off, right?"

Manager Wen looked at the woman and instantly changed his behavior in front of her. "Of course, Miss Ning Jing. Don't forget to come back and shop again."

The woman named Ning Jing smiled satisfactorily and said, "Of course. I'll tell Aunt Fang to give you a raise."

The manager's face lightened up and bowed respectfully, "Thank you so much, Miss Ning."

"Wait." Yang Zi suddenly went towards them. "The store is not on sale today, so why are you giving this customer a 50% discount?"

The manager was annoyed at Yang Zi's disruption. "Miss Ning is our regular customer and she is a VIP member."

"If I am not mistaken, VIP members only have a 5% discount. Not 50 percent." Yang Zi said sternly. Now, she finally realized why the store's sales did not rise for three months.

Manager Wen was so aggravated, and he clenched his hand tightly, but before he could answer, Ning Jing suddenly spoke, "My Aunt is one of the Imperial Jewels board of directors. She said that I can get a 50% discount here."

Yang Zi turned her head towards Ning Jing and said, "Miss Ning, may I know your Aunt's name?"

"Please leave, Miss. Stop disturbing our customers." Manager Wen said with an angry voice.

Yang Zi ignored Manager Wen while she was still looking at Ning Ning. Ning Jing felt uncomfortable at Yang Zi's gaze so she said, "Her surname is Fang."

Yang Zi signaled Chen Yan to dial Mrs. Fang's number. A few seconds later, Mrs. Fang answered the call.

"Hello? Who is this?" Mrs. Fang answered.

Upon hearing the voice, Manager Wen started to sweat and Ning Jing was shocked. Who is this lady before them?

"Mrs. Fang, this is Yang Zi." Yang Zi spoke in a calm manner.

"Miss Yang, how can I help you?" Mrs. Fang responded politely. It seems like Yang Zi is an important figure, the way Mrs. Fang responded politely to Yang Zi.

"Do you have a niece named Ning Jing?" Yang Zi asked.

"Yes, Miss Yang. She is indeed my niece. Is there a problem, Miss Yang?" Mrs. Fang's voice shook a little bit.

"The thing is, how come your niece can enjoy so much privilege at the Imperial Jewel's flagship store when I don't even allow my family to enjoy a fifty percent discount? I did not know that the boards can enjoy so much while receiving many incentives every year." Yang Zi's voice started to get colder, making the people around her shudder lightly.

"Well, well, Miss Yang. I-I did not know about it. I will talk to my niece, Miss Yang. I will give you a satisfactory answer." Mrs. Fang said with a tinge of panic in her voice.

Yang Zi laughed lightly and said, "Don't bother Mrs. Fang. I will settle it here right now. It would be a waste of your precious time." Then Yang Zi immediately ended the call. She turned her gaze towards the manager and Ning Jing. Both of them are nervous.

"Starting today, you are no longer the store manager." Yang Zi said sternly as she looked towards the manager.

Manager Wen was shocked and then he suddenly laughed, "Ridiculous. Are you saying I am fired?"

Yang Zi nodded and said, "Right."

Manager Wen laughed even more. "I'm afraid you are in no position to fire me. This is the most ridiculous joke I have ever heard. Mrs. Fang can't even fire me, so who do you think you are?"

Yang Zi just laughed and said, "Did you not hear earlier, I am Yang Zi."

Manager Wen looked at her confusedly and said, "So? I don't even know you. No one here knows you. Right?" He said as he looked around the staff. All of them nodded lightly. Indeed, no one can recognize Yang Zi.

Yang Zi just smiled and looked at Chen Yan. Chen Yan nodded as got what Yang Zi wanted to do.

"Hello everyone. We are surprised to see your "spectacular" performance here. Let me introduce to everyone the Acting CEO of Imperial Jewels, Miss Yang Zi. She is Mr. Yang's sister. She is here to inspect on behalf of the CEO."

After Chen Yan finished speaking, all of them felt their knees weaken. Manager Wen felt worse. He felt like his soul left his body. His face is so pale and his body is so stiff that he can't move.

Yang Zi smiled lightly and said, "It was indeed nice meeting everyone. As you can see, CEO Yang is not around because he has a more important matter to attend to, so I came instead."

Manager Wen can hardly breathe and finally, he fell on his knees, "M-miss Yang. Please forgive me." He felt so regretful now. He should have taken note of her connection to Mrs. Fang and her surname.

"I am not the type of person who goes back to my words. We don't need such an employee. From now on, you are fire." Then she looked around and added, "We are a high-end company and it is our responsibility to deliver quality service to our customers without looking at their backgrounds. I want everyone to set today as a warning to everyone."

All of the staff nodded nervously. Who would have thought Yang Zi could yield such power.

Manager Wen crawled towards Yang Zi and pleaded, "Miss Yang, please. I really need this job to support my family."

"Too bad, I am not going to give mercy to those people who like to look down on others. Lucky for you, it was me. What if it was a more important figure? What are you going to do? Firing you is the best outcome for you here. Now, go." Yang Zi said sternly. If she is not going to teach him a lesson, others might do the same thing in the future.

Left with no choice, Manager Wen helplessly stood up and left. Yang Zi looked at his departing figure and turned her head to Ning Jing.

"Miss Ning, I apologize for the misunderstanding but it is only a 5% discount. We don't offer 50% even if your Aunt is one of the boards." Yang Zi said.

Ning Jing could feel the seriousness of the situation so she put the items on the counter and said, "I'm sorry, Miss Yang. I-I did not know." Then she immediately left the shop with her friends.

Yang Zi just let her go. She turned around and called out the attendant that served them earlier. The attendant immediately came forward.

"What's your name?" Yang Zi asked.

"I am Tang Yichen, Miss Yang." Tang Yichen said respectfully.

"How long have you been working here?" said Yang Zi.

"3 years, Miss Yang." Tang Yichen said.

Yang Zi nodded and said, "If I am going to make you the new store manager, would you agree?"

Tang Yichen was stunned and nodded. She felt everything was surreal. "Yes, Miss Yang. I am very willing."

"Great. Then you Manager Tang now. I hope that I will not see the same scene today in the future. Understand?"

Tang Yichen nodded again and responded in a firm voice, "I will not let you down, Miss Yang."

Yang Zi continued to inspect the whole store and instructed a few things before they left.
