A normal husband and wife

The couple immediately drove towards Li Jin's house after buying everything they needed for their dinner.

"I think it's good to bring you to the market. Look at this, the earlier auntie even gave us a couple aprons." Yang Zi happily exclaimed.

Li Jin just smiled at her while focusing on driving. "We should do this often." He said.

Yang Zi put down the apron and looked at him, "You mean going to the wet market?"

"No. I mean, going out together as a normal couple. It feels nice." Li Jin smiled.

Yang Zi smiled, hearing the word couple from Li Jin's mouth. No matter how she thought of it, everything felt so surreal to her.

Yang Zi just looked outside the window and kept silent.

The couple soon arrived at Li Jin's house, and Yang Zi was in awe of his elegant place.

"Wow, your place is nice. Do you live here alone?" Yang Zi said as she surveyed her eyes around the place.

"Hmm, I don't like having people around so I am living alone here." Li Jin answered.

"Ohh, then how about your meal? Are you the one who cooks for yourself?" Yang Zi said.

Li Jin nodded and replied, "Hmm. But sometimes, Mom will send our nanny here to cook, especially when I am busy. She is also in charge of cleaning here once a week."

"I see. Alright, you go ahead and wash up and rest for a bit. I will start cooking our dinner. I'll call you when I'm done." Yang Zi said.

"Don't you need any help? I am also good at cooking." Li Jin grinned at Yang Zi.

Yang Zi's lips twitched and shook her head helplessly. "Forget it. I know that you are tired. You should freshen up and rest for a bit."

"Alright. If you insist. Just call me when you need something, okay? My room is on the right side upstairs, beside the study room. " Li Jin said.

Yang Zi nodded and said, "Okay. Don't worry, I can handle myself.'

Li Jin headed upstairs and Yang Zi headed towards the kitchen and immediately started cooking. She wore the apron that the lady vendor gave them earlier and washed the fish and other vegetables on the sink. She hustled herself to make the best dishes for Li Jin so that she could make it up to him.

After an hour of cooking, Yang Zi carefully placed every dish on the table and prepared the cutlery for the two of them. Afterward, she decided to go upstairs to call Li Jin. Upon arriving outside Li Jin's room, she stopped and lightly knocked on the door.

"Dinner's ready. You can come down now." Yang Zi said.

Five seconds, thirty seconds, and a minute passed, no one responded to Yang Zi. Hence, she knocked again and called him out. This time, it's a bit louder than the first one.

"Li Jin? Are you there? " Yang Zi called him out. However, no one still answered. So, she decided to open the door and go inside.

When Yang Zi entered the room, she was amazed by Li Jin's taste in decoration. Just like her, simple and elegant decoration is the best choice. She roamed her eyes around and noticed that there was no one inside.

"Where did he go?" Yang Zi said softly.

"Are you looking for me?" Li Jin's voice sounded behind her and she immediately turned around.

But not a second even passed, Yang Zi turned her back against Li Jin and covered her eyes.

"Why are you naked?!" Yang Zi exclaimed. Who would expect that she would witness this kind of scene in her whole life? Topless Li Jin. Oh my god! What kind of mess did she enter!

Li Jin chuckled at her reaction and said, "I was just showering earlier. Are you done cooking?"

"Y-yes. You wear your clothes. I-I-I'll wait for you downstairs." Yang Zi said and immediately ran away like a scared rabbit.

Li Jin laughed lightly and wore his clothes. Five minutes later, he went down and saw the mouth-watering dishes on the table. However, the person who made these delicious dishes is nowhere to be found.

"Xiao Zi?" Li Jin called her name while looking around.

'Did she scare her that much earlier?' Li Jin thought to himself.

Li Jin thought that Yang Zi left because of what happened earlier. She must have thought that he is a perverted man. He felt sad on the inside. He just did not expect that Yang Zi would be in the room.

Suddenly, a loud crashing sound came from the kitchen. Li Jin immediately went to the kitchen and found Yang Zi cleaning the broken pieces of the glass.

"Ouch!" Yang Zi exclaimed as she looked at the blood on her finger.

Li Jin was shocked, then immediately approached her, "Xiao Zi! Are you okay? Wait here, I'll go get the first aid kit. Don't move."

Li Jin immediately left and came back with the first aid kit in his hand. "Come here. Let's wash your wound first." He carefully put Yang Zi's hand under the running water and washed it with soap. Afterward, he led her to the living room.

The two of them were seated on the sofa while Li Jin was placing alcohol on the cotton. Then he held her hand and said, "It will hurt a little bit. Just endure it for a while."

Yang Zi smiled and said, "I am not that fragile. It's just a small cut."

"What happened? Is there something wrong? I thought you left because you did not respond when I called your name earlier." Li Jin asked her.

"Ahh, you, you called me? I did not hear anything. I was just drinking water in the kitchen earlier. The glass slipped out of my hand. I'm sorry about that." Yang Zi said apologetically. But actually, the truth is that she heard him, but she was so nervous at the scene she saw earlier. She was totally astonished and distracted.

Li Jin seemed to have believed her and said, "You should be careful next time." He then placed a bandage on the wound. "Don't let your wound soak in the water so that it will heal faster."

Yang Zi nodded and smiled while looking at her bandaged finger. It seems like he was really worried about her earlier by judging his facial expression. Her appreciation towards Li Jin is getting bigger.

"Let's eat dinner. The food will get cold if we don't eat it right away." Yang Zi said and stood up.

Li Jin nodded and followed her behind towards the dining table. The aroma of the food immediately lingers in Li Jin's nose.

"Your food is really delicious." Li Jin praised.

Yang Zi chuckled and said, "You still have not tasted it, yet. How can you immediately say that it tastes delicious?"

Li Jin sat down and said, "Because it looks good and smells good."

Yang Zi laughed lightly and shook her head. "Let's just eat. Stop talking and eat."

Li Jin smiled and took a bite of the steamed fish Yang Zi cooked. "Hmm, this is really tasty."

"Then eat more." Yang Zi said softly.

The couple peacefully ate dinner. The scene is so heartwarming and full of harmony. Both of them wished in their hearts that this kind of atmosphere will last forever. A peaceful night as a normal husband and wife.

After dinner, Yang Zi decided to wash the dishes. However, Li Jin stopped her.

"I will wash the dishes. Just wait for me in the living room. You have filled my stomach so I will do the dishes. This is the duty of a husband." Li Jin said at Yang Zi.

"Are you sure you can do it?" Yang Zi asked him.

"Wifey, you must be underestimating me. Of course, I know how to wash dishes." Li Jin said proudly.

Yang Zi just laughed and said, "Alright."

The cold and almighty Li Jin is washing dishes, just to please his wife. What a good and filial husband.

Yang Zi sat on the sofa in the living room while waiting for Li Jin. A few minutes later, Li Jin sat beside her after washing the dishes.

"I should go now." Yang Zi said to Li Jin.

Li Jin immediately sat up straight and said, "So soon?" Obviously, he does not want her to leave yet.

Yang Zi nodded and said, "Yeah, I still need to go to the company tomorrow."

"Can you-" Stay for the night? But Li Jin can't bring himself to say the remaining words. For the first time in his life, he is feeling shy over this kind of thing.

Yang Zi looked at him confusedly and asked, "What?"

"Hmm.." Suddenly a loud thunder echoed outside and the heavy rain poured down.

Yang Zi looked outside and said, "Oh my, the rain is so heavy."

Li Jin's eyes immediately brightened. He composed himself and hid the excitement in his voice, "How about you stay here for the night?"
