Chapter 1: New Beginning..?
"Sigh.. So it's over huh..."
he said while laying on the bed with his eyes fixated on the marble white ceiling.

( My name is Alice Van Zypherio, I was one of the biggest novel writers just a week ago, but after I finished my one and only series, "Merchant from the future" I'm now stuck with nothing to do. )
( My Novel has been going strong for a really long time with it's whopping 1500+ chapters. I was in middle school when I started writing it after all. If I'm still studying, I'm probably in my 3rd year in college now. )
( Well, now that it's finished I can get more sleep but... I don't have anything to do!!.. I don't really know if I should be happy or not.. )

After staring at the ceiling for a while, Alice bore himself out and started rolling on the bed, muffled groans can be heard as he burry his face on the pillow.
Then as predicted, he falls from the bed like an idiot and hit the back of his head on the solid wooden floor, making his groans of boredom turn into grunts of pain.
"ACK!!... keuk...my head..."
Alice grabs his head as he sits up from the floor, rubbing on the probably bruised back of his head while grunting in slight pain.
The pain then slowly decayed as his computer piqued Alice's Attention. Moments of staring at it passed before he stands up from the floor with his eyes closed and a small sigh, saying..
"what the hell am I doing..?"
Alice then walks up towards his computer, turning it on.
"when was the last time I play games again..?"
He said softly under his breath as he searched up for games online, trying to see what's popular to play these days.
After searching up for a while, scrolling down the search bar for games, Alice snapped..
"argh!!.. Damn it, why are they all about a game that came out like 7 years ago?! Didn't they completely ignore this game when it came out?!"
Alice said, leaning backwards to his chair as he ruffle through his hair followed with a soft grunt.

As he calmed down, Alice continue scrolling down the search tab with his chin leaning on the palm of his left arm. He let out another bored sigh just before something caught his eyes.
Alice smirked as he reads the link's title.
"ohh~? New VR mmorpg huh.. This seems promising.."
He didn't hesitate and quickly clicked on the link which redirected him into a registration platform with a complete full description of what kind of game is this new VR game.
Alice then put his right hand under his chin in form a of pincer with the pointing finger standing along on his lips. He closed the distance between his face and the monitor a bit to read the description, mumbling it under his breath.
"hmm.. VR mmorpg "Arsenals Online"... Play in a world at which you decide what you will become... huh..?"
His eyes widen a bit as he got to a certain part of the description.
"full-sense dive..? a device that can transfer your whole consciousness IN GAME?!!.. What kind of bullcrap is this?! Doesn't that only exist in sci-fi comics?!"
Alice then slowly backed off the computer, staring at the monitor while still sitting down. He slowly processed what he just reads and came to the conclusion that what written in this site is a complete scam.
"so scams like this exist.. Scammers really had put a lot of effort on creating such convincing site just to get a few penny, how cunning.."
He let out a sigh of disappointment and about to close the tab, but the site got him thinking again.
( is it really a scam..? Hmm... The site looks insanely legit but the description is just ridiculous.. But if it's true.. Ack!! Damn it..! )
Alice started flailing around, ruffling on his head.
While Alice is busy thinking of what to do, his little sister, Ellie opened the door of his room slowly to check on him.
"Bro, Dad said come downstairs and eat dinner with us--.."
Ellie saw his brother flailing around while sitting in front of his PC, making Ellie awkwardly close the door in confusion what she just saw.
As soon as Ellie closes the door, we can hear her muffled yelling as he walked away from Alice's room.
"Papa.. !! Big Bro lost his mind..!! His doing weird dances in front of his computer..!!"
[Quick Note: Ellie is only 6 years old]

Meanwhile, back at Alice that doesn't even notice his door opening, he finally calmed down.
( I guess I'll register myself..even if its legit.. I'll probably won't get picked anyway.. They only pick 100 people to beta test... Even if it turned out to be a scam, it's not like I have my money on me.. )

And with that, Alice filled out the registration form and send it right away. Finally released from all the thinking, he sighs in relief and laid backwards to the chair.
"man, if it's really true and I got picked that would be awesome"
Alice smiled and giggled a bit just before his dad open the door of his room.
"Alice..! It's time for dinner, save the writing for later..! " said his Dad in a soft tone of voice.
Alice then looks behind him and replied right away..
"coming dad..!"
He turned off his computer, leaving his phone on the table and walks towards his dad on the door.
"For God's sake.. You're really devoted on what you're doing aren't you? You're making me worry about your health, you dumbass.."
Said his Dad, smiling as he put his arm around Alice's shoulders and started dragging him along the corridor slowly.
"Wait-... Dad, I can walk on my own...!"

A sudden notification comes up on Alice's phone..
