He was unsure of how long has passed after he sat down on the Spiritual Gathering Mat. But one thing Yanglin was sure of is the fact he's still in the middle of communicating with the Spiritual Soul.
The minty sensation still lingers in his throat and stomach as he slowly opened his eyes. But the scene before him was no longer the village square, where he, Xia Xuan-Xuan, and five other youngsters gathered.
He felt like he traveled to outer space.
It was not people, mystical creatures, nor demons surrounding him. It was stars, planets, and galaxies in their distinctive appearance.
No matter from which direction he's staring, a purple hue filled the void space. There was mysterious energy hidden deep behind the void as if there were more to come as long he's capable of harnessing it.
'This was different from the book, no?' Yanglin was puzzled by the scene before him. He thought he was well prepared, but his preparation was for naught because the experience appeared differently to each person.
At the very least, what happens to him right now had never happened in any of the cultivators whose book he read in the library.
'What will happen now?' Yanglin keeps scanning his surrounding for a clue on what to do next. Each second felt like a minute has passed. He went from calm to impatient, confident to nervous and excited to depressing.
It was a powerful mood swing that even he had no control over it. But after it felt like hours and days, he found his solitude once more.
Soon, he noticed that by focusing all his attention on one of the planets, the mysterious energy with a violet hue seems to be attracted to that place.
It made Yanglin caught a hint of what he should be doing.
His attention soon falls to the milky way that resembles the galaxy where he originated.
Slowly, his attention started to bear the fruit of labor as an embryo is developing in the core of the milky way. The appearance of this embryo gave him a sliver of hope as he concentrated on that life.
The embryo, now about the size of an infant, twitched slightly before opening its eyes. All the violet energy from the surrounding was absorbed into the mouth when it moved from the fetal position.

The infant speaks. Gently waving its tiny little hands, the void vanished and turned into a curtain of blinding light.
Behind the infant was a small peak, about the size of a miniature volcano a student tried to make with their parents for their science class. It was covered with moss from the base to the peak, making the small mountain seems to be quite pitiful and barren.
"Who... Who are you? My Spiritual Soul?" Yanglin asked. Everything before him now resembles the expert's record and biography. But once again, he remembered that none of the authors mentioned how the Spiritual Soul could communicate with the host!

"Then... What are you?" Yanglin asked. Although he knew that this infant's background shouldn't be simple, he had never guessed that its attitude was just as arrogant as how it appeared.

Just like its arrogant attitude, even the way it speaks was dignified and aloof.
"Reliance System? Do I have a system? Does that means... You know my origin?" Yanglin asked. He was curious about what the Reliance System is going to reply to him.

The Reliance System was ruthless with its words.
"Go ahead if you feel like it. It's not like it mattered to me now, anyway..." Yanglin closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

The Reliance System seems to have a record of what he did throughout his life until his death.

The Reliance System chuckled before the world around him started to get blurry. That was the indication the enlightenment period is over.
"Reliance System! Please tell me what's your function! How do I use the system to my advantage?" Yanglin tried to get as much as he could before his sense return to his body.

That was all he heard as he opened his eyes.
"Wh-What are you doing by getting so close to me?" Yanglin pulled his head back because he was just an inch or two away from touching Xia Xuan-Xuan's lips.
"What am I doing? Look at the time now... Are you having an awakening or just sleeping in the process? Everyone has left! Even I got home for dinner and shower before coming back here for you!" for the first time in her life, Xia Xuan-Xuan got angry at Yanglin.
Her finger went straight to his ear.
In that instant, Yanglin couldn't help but scream in pain.
