Chapter 1_Unexpected

Scarlett is a graduate with a degree in project management and a master's in hospitality and tourism. You could say that she is the most qualified woman in her family. She lives with her two parents Josh and Sophie and her little brother Nathan whom she loves dearly. Scarlett is an introvert and the type that has only one to two friends.

She spends most of her time burying herself in books and watching movies. Now and than her friends force her to go out with them.

Like that one time they went out to a bar in her area as she didn't wanna go far from r area. Everything went well until she got drunk and threw up on a random man's White shirt, and it wasn't just anyone according to her friends. They didn't bother telling her who the man was ,so she didn't insist on asking them.

"Mom did you already prepare breakfast , I'm late again"!

SCARLETT

This is the second time I'm late for my work and my manager will not take this as a joke. On Monday I came late to the office and just as I was about to sneak into my office I heard him scream from the hallway " Scarlett get your late ass over here"!!!!!

From the way he sounded I knew he was gonna finish me on the spot. To my surprise he gave me a second just and told me to use it wisely.

I tight up my hair into a big messy bun , my golden hair really looks good in a messy bun and it goes well with my grey eyes. My dad always says that my eyes are affected by the phase of the moon, or that's what he believes.

I Got out of my room straight to the kitchen to grap something to eat."Morning mom and dad, I'm very late so I'm not going to ask how your night was"

"its okay honey,just be careful on your way to work , because the traffic here is bad." she Say's as I'm already on my way out, "okay mom, bye ,love you."

Traffic was really bad like my mom said. I can just hear voices of people shouting at each other to drive and to shut up. It's actually fun hearing them , because you hear all sorts of funny things. Luckily I was second in the row and was about to drive , until I saw a big bill board of my dream boat,Dmitri Salvador.

Dmitri Salvador is known for his ruthless skills in the business world.... you can also say he is the most handsome man in the world . With his dark black hair to his golden eyes ,no male can be compared to him . He has the best body ever and seeing this man you wouldn't find any flaw. I was looking at the bill board and started Romanticising about him being my boyfriend.

I almost got lost in my thoughts until someone shouted "move woman , we all don't have your time"

I got to the office an hour late , and I was debating in my head whether to just go in or not. I have no choice but to go in. As I walked into the company cursing my self in the head , I saw that everyone was busy running up and down the office with paper's . Our company is the largest company In the country in terms of highest made profits , mergers etc . Its always busy at work but not this busy. While I was still standing at the entrance wondering why everyone is so busy , I saw kelvin walk towards me , looking really pale ,I guess its because of all the late nights he spends at work.

He looked worried as he stood next to me.

"Scarlett how can you be late again after the second warning you got, Mike is in his office and wants to see you." he said

"did he look angry when he send for me," I asked

"I'm not going to lie to you ,so just go to his office and find out for yourself and good luck."

And with that he was gone.

I walked towards his office sliding and pushing through people who seemed to not notice me , at all.

When I got to Mike's door I heard him talk on the phone, he sounded nervous and scared on the same time . So I stopped to eavesdrop on his conversation. "yes sir ,everything is under control."

"I notified everyone about your arrival."

"of course sir."

The person he is talking to must be our boss. I never met him ,only the people on the top met him and only once. According to rumours going around the office , he is a cold_hearted man. He does not have feelings and most definitely does not care about anyone's feelings. He build this company by him self and does not let anyone get close to him except for his best friend and his lover. But those are just rumours going around ,and I really don't Care about the personal life of my boss.

I have been standing for a long at the door , so I decided to just knock anyway. I heard him say goodbye and ordering me to"come in" from the other side of the room. I slowly walked into the room and goodness the room looked messy. Paper sheets and take_away coffee mugs lying around everywhere. I guess he had a long night and didn't get much sleep, I can tell by the dark circles under his eyes. Why does everyone look so tired and worn out except for me.

"Scarlett I'm not even going to argue with you because as you can see I had a long night and all my energy is drained out."

"I'm gonna need you to finish the rest of the paper work and get someone to clean up the main office at the 12th floor, the boss is flying in today from Paris and everything should be perfect, or else someone is getting fired today ."

"OK sir I will get right to it"

I quickly walked out of his office and left a sigh of relief.
