Severus should be in his class. I need to discuss something with him. After walking more, I make it to the door and knock out of respect.

It opens, and I see Severus with his wand in hand at his table. He truly is the most gifted potions maker I've met.

"I need to talk with you, Severus."

He stops what he's doing and looks at me. My glasses are soon off, and I take a breath.

"Harry Potter will be attending this year, and I need you to do another task for me."

I've already asked a great many things from Severus.

"I need you to watch over the boy. Can you do that?"

Severus remains emotionless, his Occlumency keeping his thoughts and feeling guarded. He nods his head. Hopefully, what I fear to come doesn't happen.

I still have one more thing to discuss with Severus.

"Another student is coming to Hogwarts. His name is Alexander Aevum. He's a brilliant boy, Severus. Keep an eye out for him too."

Severus nods his head once again, and my heart rests easily.

I leave the potions class and head toward the transfiguration class. Minerva will need to be informed as well.

I won't always be able to watch Potter, and I've already asked a lot of Severus today.

"Headmaster Dumbledore, how can I help you this morning?"

Minerva greets me in her well-mannered way.

I walk up to her desk and lean forward.

"Potter will attend this year, and we need to discuss plans for the future."

She gives me her full attention to the subject I've brought up.

"How much time do you have to talk?"

She stops all she is doing and waits for me to start.

While I cannot practice magic in the muggle world, I can still learn. This room suits my needs just enough. I open one of my journals and continue working on my spell Summa Exitium.

If only I could test it, I want to see if my spell can do what I intend for—the destruction of whatever it's cast on.

I have come very far with it, and its primary use is for destroying creatures like Dementors. I've found it's much more than that. While The Unforgivable Curses have their names for a reason, they lack in some ways individually.

The Killing Curse doesn't work on particular creatures.

I think keeping the progress of the spell a secret is good. Albus thinks I'm developing a spell specifically for Dementors, but it's become so much more than that. This spell will be a trump card.

One that no one else has and no one else can counter.

"Alex! Come and have some breakfast!"

I put the journal in my magic bag at the sound of Beth's voice. I leave the room, head toward the main room, and see the breakfast they always make for us.
