Life Of A Marine (Part 3)

" Oh, a future Admiral candidate."

I thought as I looked at the future powerhouse. She didn't look that different from her future looks. She still has her long curly black hair and a mole on the right side of her face below her mouth.

She didn't have her trademark black spider tattoo yet. Although I will be extremely concerned if a seven-year-old had tattoos. And she had a sword that's too long for her body right now.

" Don't worry about it. The name is Drake Acnologia, nice to meet you." I said to her as we shook our hands. We talked more as the line got shorter, mainly about our interests. I told her what part of the world I came from. Eventually, she figured out who I was since Tsuru told her about me.

" Woah, so you took down a candy giant. That's so cool, Tsuru-chan won't let me fight pirates with a bounty higher than 15 million berries in North Blue." She complained to me after I told her about some of the battles I had against pirates.

" By the way, what's your relationship with Vice Admiral Tsuru?" I asked since I wasn't quite sure about that. I was also checking I didn't miss any important characters in the future like Akainu and Kizaru.

' Seems like they aren't in this class, if my memories are correct they probably join in a few years from now. But this class is still quite good without them as I can see some future Vice Admiral powerhouses like Gion and Tokikake.

" Tsuru-chan is my older sister," Gion said to me as we were next in line for the enlistment.

" Next in line" A marine commander sitting at a desk yelled out. He was the one assigned where all the recruits go after we take a physical test to determine if we were fit to join the marines.

" Name and birth," The marine asked us we gave him our information.

" Drake Acnologia and Gion Bridde, correct?

We nodded at him as we took the physical test. It included doing some exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, and some other exercises as well. Afterward, a doctor checked to make sure nothing was wrong with us. Although Gion and I were separated as a female doctor check on her in a separate area.

" Damn, this is annoying," I said to Gion after she returned from her check-up. She nodded at me as we went back to the marine commander for further instructions.

" Those are your uniforms for the next two months. Drake Ancologia your barrack number is 1. And Gion Bridde your barrack number is 11, it's all-female. Both of you are assigned to training area 1 which instructor Lance Burne is in charge of.

" I suggest you two change into your informs before you go meet him. He's extremely strict and demands absolute obedience while your training with him"

The marine commander said to us as the next person walked up to the desk.

"It's probably best we listen to the commander. I heard this instructor is ruthless if we don't follow his orders from Tsuru-chan." Gion said to me as she explained how Lance is an instructor sent by the World Government.

Something very odd, I thought while walking into one of changing rooms. I changed into the uniform I was given which I gotta say is ugly as fuck. I put away my old clothes in a bag since I still wanted to keep the storage ring a secret.

The uniform consisted of a white short-sleeved shirt emblazoned with the Marine emblem and a simplified seagull with "MARINE" underneath it on the back; a blue neckerchief; dark blue trousers; and a baseball cap with "MARINE" across the front.

" Hahaha, you look absurd with the uniform on." Gion laughed as she looked at me. She corrected my neckerchief as I messed it up making me look a little better. She took off the marine hat as it didn't exactly fit with my dark blue hair.

" Hey, you like pretty cute with that uniform". I said to her making her blush a little but she accepted the compliment to my surprise. I guess she isn't a tsundere, thank god for that, hate those types.

I thought as we continued talking while walking towards training area 1. It wasn't that hard to locate considering every single training area was labeled 1-15.

" Seems like we are the last ones to arrive. Drake, look there's another kid like us. Gion said as she pointed to a kid with a serious expression on his face and wild spikey black hair.

'Oi, that's Monkey D. Dragon' I thought as our eyes made contact for a few seconds before Dragon looked away.

' To think I would meet " The Revolutionary Dragon" so early in my life. Seems like I can start my plan way ahead of time.' I thought as I looked around checking out everyone. In total, they were 16 other recruits assigned to the same training area as me and Gion.

I only recognized three people from the show. Two were giants and the other was a rather ugly-looking person, no disrespect. The three people who I recognized besides Dragon were Jaguar D. Saul, John Giant, and Tokikake. All who would go on to become Vice Admirals in the future.

" ALL RECRUITS GET IN A LINE RIGHT NOW."

An old man with head tattoos and with white eyebrows and bread yelled as he walked into the field. We quickly formed a straight line with Gion on my left side and Dragon on my right side.

" IM SURE EVERYONE HERE ALREADY KNOWS WHO I AM"

" MY JOB FOR THE NEXT TWO MONTHS IS TO MAKE ALL 17 OF YOU BECOME PROPER MARINES!

" DURING THOSE TWO MONTHS, I WILL BREAK YOU DOWN AND REBUILD YOU INTO PROPER MARINES!"

" I EXPECT ABSOLUTE OBEDIENCE!

" DISOBEY MY ORDERS EVEN ONE TIME, I HAVE YOU REMOVED FROM THE MARINES AT ONCE!"

" THAT EVEN GOES FOR YOU THREE AS WELL!"

" DRAKE ACNOLOGIA"

" MONKEY D. DRAGON"

" GION BRIDDE"

" ALL THREE OF YOU WERE GIVEN SPECIAL PERMISSION TO JOIN THE MARINES AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE. BUT DON'T EXPECT ANY SPECIAL TREATMENTS FROM ME. ALL THREE OF YOU WILL BE TREATED THE SAME AS EVERYONE ELSE."

" DOES EVERYONE UNDERSTAND!"

Lance shouted at us as all of us shouted at hai at him. He then went to explain what kind of training we will go through. Before he dismissed us than since today he wanted all the recruits to become familiar with each other.

" Hey, Gion Im gonna go try talking to Dragon. Wanna come with me?" I asked Gion as she nodded at me. She didn't feel like interacting with the others since most of them were older than her other than me and Dragon.

I also think Chaton creeped her out from the way he talked to her before Gion kicked him away. I didn't interfere as Gion was strong enough where she didn't need my help.

" Yo, I'm Drake and that's Gion," I said to Dragon as we introduced ourselves to him.

" Monkey D. Dragon." Dragon introduced himself to us as all three of us started talking. We hit it off quite easily as we decided to explore Marineford leaving everyone else.

All three of them didn't know at this point but this would be the moment of a lifelong friendship between them. All three helping each other succeed in their goals and reaching the top of this world.
