I AM DIFFERENT

Born different than others, Hyun Ern was blessed with superiority. But for her, her blessing was no more than a burden that made her friends away from her. They said she was a grandkid from witch. Hyun Ern thought it was silly at first when she heard it. They were in modern era but still talking about witch? That was really funny. How could they say those ridiculous and nonsense things?

Since she was a kid, she knew that she was different. But she couldn't help it. Hyun Ern would scream anytime bad things flashed in her mind, she was terrified, even she didn't realize for crying.

"Your mother is dying! You have to go back to your home!" Ern snapped in her small voice to her seatmate.

"Please, don't go with your mother! You can die," her tears burst in front of her friends.

"You are a killer!" yelled Ern to her teacher. Her words were true until the principal asked her to be moved into a special school because other students were annoyed by her weird acts. After hearing what the principle said, Hyun Ern left her brother whom still in talking with the principle.

"Hyun Ern!" Her brother was yelling at her while seeing his little sister ran. Ern didn't care of him, but then a bad accident flashed in her mind. Her brother would die from getting hit by bus. In that moment, she screamed so loud that made everyone there looked at her. In that road. Right behind her. Her brother was run over by a bus. Her brother died on spot. Since then, everything people said about her was right. Yeah, she was a grandkid of witch and it looked like if she bewitched those bad things.

A jinxed girl well said. Everyone she loved was gone. First, her parents died in rock climbing when she was 5 years old. Before her parent went for that extreme sport, she dreamed her house collapsed and her parent died. It was a sign and it happened. The people she loved the most dead buried under big stones.

She lived with her grandma in a big city somewhere in America. She was the only family left. Hyun Ern was willing to leave her hometown in Japan and hoping if one day her grandma's death came, she wouldn't get any sign. She was scared that she would blame herself for it. So far, she didn't get any bad signs toward her grandma. It might be because her grandma always went to the church.

This was her fifth year living in America. But, she still had no friend in high school. Everything would change once she moved here, she thought, but actually it was not.

She didn't know who spread the issue of her was a grandkid of a witch. Hyun Ern also didn't know how the entire school knew she was different even though she kept it from anyone but her grandma.

On the first month in America, she could control any bad hunch. She learned it. She never said spontaneously like she was before. Even when her favorite teacher was going to die, she said nothing and she kept it by herself although it was difficult. She cried alone in class, she kept crying that made other students sick of her. It was the worst hunch she ever felt that her teacher got killed brutally by her own student. And it really happened, since then the entire school stayed away from Hyun Ern.
