Synopsis

When he woke up one day, Fang Yuan had travelled into a parallel universe and became an exchange student majoring in Creative Writing at the University of Iowa.

In this world, the Vernacular Language Movement had not yet occur, and there was no market for web novels.

The entire world still equated Eastern literature to the Tang and Song Dynasty Poems and Songs.

At that moment, the “Author System” was awakened, and the original classic novels appeared in Fang Yuan’s mind!

Thus, when he re-wrote those works, the entire world was shaken.

“Coiling Dragon” had greater sales than all other titles on Amazon. When drug addicts read it, they successfully detoxified themselves.

“Ghost Blows Out the Light” was a pioneering literature work using grave robbery themes. Stephen King went silent when he read it, and Neil Gaiman cried when he heard the story.

“A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality” popularized deities throughout the world. Influencers livestreamed their attempts at alchemy, and the title grabbed the attention of social news websites.

“Wu Kong” presented the classic “Journey to the West” once more to the world, and drew much surprise and praise from critics. Chinese literature had made a name for itself!

The Times Newspapers reported, “Congratulations to Mr Fang Yuan for receiving this year’s Nobel Prize for literature!”

The New York Times reported, “The sales of Fang Yuan’s works have overtaken that of the Bible!”

The Paris Review reported, “We lust for his appearance, and are loyal to his talent!”

The Times Magazine reported, “This man had single-handedly started a craze over Eastern literature!”

Bill Gates highly recommended them in his end-of-year list, and Obama couldn’t help but keep reading them.

Trump ordered all Americans to read it, claiming that all who did not were not Americans!

Fang Yuan was surprised, “Just this is enough? There are still “The Three-Body Problem”, “To Live”, and all the titles by Mo Yan and Lu Xun that I have not yet copied!

Did Webnovel really write a novel, about someone writing web novels, for a fantasy Webnovel? This shamelessness goes beyond the mortal realm and touches upon the divine.

Are they just translating propaganda now?! This thing is guaranteed to be filled with nationalism and racial discrimination! I don't even have the heart to start reading, I might just die from frustration. I'd definitely get chest pains 🤕

One star for obviously not having several novels (lol) like Reverend Insanity, but seriously tho the amount of propaganda that will be here would outmatch anything you will ever see.

Am I in a dream or have I transmigrated to the world of cringe? I cannot fathom the sheer determination one must possess to write or TL this novel. For the love of god, I hope this was an intentioned parody or a satire. For those who wish to read the propagan- *oops* I mean novel- Cleanse your eyes and close your mind, for this novel has the singular power to revert your iq to that of a 10-year-old fanboy. RIP brain cells. RIP sanity. RIP eyes. RIP IQ.

One of the better pilot reads of this "batch." MC is guy who basically gets a system that let's him plagiarize any novel from his original world into this parallel world that is almost like Earth. Some people may find similarities to "I'm Really A Superstar" with the memory capsule, etc. But my initial feeling is that the story telling in this novel is well below that of IRAS. The story is fast paced and pretty illogical, I.e., the first novel he writes becomes an overnight hit and is basically well known by all - which is pretty unrealistic and breaks immersion in my opinion. He is then offered a contract by a publishing house where they basically stake everything they have on him, which again, is pretty unrealistic. There is none of the slow build up - but just instant success with this MC. It's It's shame as the slow build up would allow for greater character development and world building, like in IRAS. In short, worth a read, but only to pass time if there's nothing else to read. Pretty disappointing in the long run.

Great read! If no more chapters are added, it would be a travesty. If you have not read this story yet, your missing out. If you like books with interesting systems and like it when shady folk get The proverbial slap to the face then this iS the story for you.

It would be funnier if he went to a parallel universe where all webnovels were translated till the end. Too unrealistic, perhaps? 😉😉😉😉😉😉

I feel like this story just couldn't be more biased, just know, i haven't read it, sure the idea sounded fun, but reading the summary, i feel like this is just like other novels where - china great, all other countries = garbage, - so i won't even bother with reading it. If you wish to read it then sure, go ahead, but expect what i said, the novel is most likely about china great all other countries garbage, but you do you.
