Vicky's Reality

Vicky sighed. She stayed for a while to collect herself, and then stepped out of the car. She followed Connor inside the house.

Connor opened the door and walked in. The captain, Miles, Jessica and Pamela were in the living room. They turned towards Connor and Vicky.

"What are you doing here?" Miles asked.

"She has something to say to you," Connor said, giving Vicky a slight nudge forward. Miles looked at Vicky.

"I'm sorry. I should have been more responsible, and kept them here. I promise, this will never happen again," Vicky said, she glanced at Miles, the captain, and Pamela. They were all staring at her. Vicky immediately looked at the ground to avoid their eye contact.

"You're right. This will never happen again, because you'll never meet my kids ever again," Miles said. He got up from the sofa, and walked towards Vicky.
