Stars twinkle in the night accompanied by the moon. The brightness of the moon and stars were obscured from view . Blocked by gray and black grouped nebulas which covered the dusk sky. More black than gray clouds made the night more tenebrific. Darkness waited to touch the dawn while the night progressed towards the future day. The cloaked night held many hours until the light was sent from the aurora. The night was foreboding. The crepuscular eve beckoned clandestine animals, and humans to emerge to exhibit no mercy. The night at certain times was chosen for completion of deplorable acts. Uncertainty exists about animal prey having the ability to forgive their predators . There may be no knowledge of preys possessing strong emotions to vindicate their slayers. Humans when their lives are about to be stolen may or may not absolve their killers. Darkness was used by predators in their desires to steal the lives of beings . The preys are lost to return to , non- existence, the void. Beings bypass the light regardless of being slain naturally,or unnaturally.
The night's eerie quiet was the calm before the storm. It was a gloomy night. A night for deaths, as if the gloom of darkness rose in the wait of impending doom for unsuspecting victims .The hoots of the Screech-owl, with the howls of the gray wolves, vanished in their silence. Brown bats were absent from spreading their wings as they dove in search of prey. The white tailed deers didn't prance to graze on nearby twigs and leaves. Rodents didn't pop out from their burrows to be spotted by the brown bat. Tiger salamanders refused to languish out in the open on rocks,or on the ground. Many of Mantanna's creatures of the night in the woods were unmoving while they hid themselves.
The wind wasn't present to guide the flying squirrels that glided from tree to tree, if they were out in the night. It wasn't the season for mosquitoes or butterflies. November's forty-degrees weather caused the
Warm weather bugs to be forgotten in the winter chill.
The smell of damp earth climbed into the nose of Paradime's second in command. The scents of fallen leaves, pine needles, grass, and mud were pungent. The acrid stench was heightened from the mid day rain. He tasted the acrid stench on his tongue and inside of his mouth. Balled into fist were his hands as they sat in his black suit pants. His bright light brown eyes scanned the area , as his lips parted. Rain's tongue darted out of his mouth to lick repeatedly at a tender spot. The bitterness on his tongue didn't bother him to the extent that the sorrow he felt did. The hurt which stung his heart formed a heavy lump in his chest .
Paradime's second in command felt imagined pain of a passed ache at the corner of his mouth. He didn't see it coming,it was unexpected, and it was shocking to him. One-eighth of the time it took to blink an eye was Paradime's hand movement . The open palm slap staggered him. Paradime's fingertips left a pronounced stinging on the left side of his mouth. Rain's lips ache with pain and tingles resulting from the hard hit. Earlier, at five AM he stood in the middle of Paradime's office. The office was located on the sixty-first floor of Paradime Industries. The office consisted of the entire space on that floor.
"Why do the men have to be naked? The temper…" Rain's words were stifled by Paradime's slap.
" Our positions in the hierarchy clearly reflect the level of status between us. Your position is where I Paradime the head of the society , give out commands that you readily implement without reason. Rain , there isn't any leeway for you. The place you're in has no room for doubting my decisions. Resist stepping from the path of a follower with trust in their superior's judgment. You have transgressed. This was a first for you. Let it be your last. Infractions will not exist between us. If you test me,there will be a harsh consequence." A large lone tear snuck out of his right eye. The tear drop traveled leaving a stained path along his face. What was left of the tear disappeared under his chin. Rain pressed his lips tightly together. Rain's action of pressing his lips together was to refrain from speaking his thoughts.
Paradime didn't regret slapping Rain. He felt a bit of sadness, because it was the first time in nine- thousand years he had admonished him. He had raised a hand against Rain to remove the seed of doubt before it grew into something . Paradime felt that Rain's doubt could cost him his life. After he walked towards the floor to ceiling wide rectangular window Paradime continued. "You are the only choice by my desire. My place has always been designated to you. You will fill the position. As you acquire your place, my station is to be revered , by its permanence, above you. You will lord over all that I gather. I will lead you always. The position I will yield to you is one where you are a leader of men. I'm not a man that you can lead . Leave!" Exclaimed Paradime In finality, as he dismissed Rain.
Rain wasn't a handsome man. His appearance wasn't grotesque either. His face was rugged. His attractiveness was his exuded manliness, dominance, and prominence. The way he dressed and presented himself displayed his affluence. Paradime's second in command felt the pain from the slap still,in the late hour of the night. An imagined symptom from a passed sensation. Balled hands were in the pockets of his black suit pants. His eyes surveyed the area. He pulled one of his hands out of a pocket, and raked through his chestnut hair. Rain thoughts bothered him. It baffles me. He didn't reveal the reason why my men had to be naked. The second position beside you Paradime is everything, yet it's nothing. The way you are was what made me drawn to you. I fell for you. That's why I never left. Now I know that I can't leave the cage you've placed us in. I admire you. Your slap gave me a rude awakening. I knew than , as I know now that I can never question, control,or possess you Paradime. Rain thoughts continued to bother him. Rain stopped his train of thoughts. It was time for action. He looked at his expensive watch from a custom set. The other watch was a gift given to a long time secret lover. He noted that it was exactly nine pm. He put his hand up to his mouth, and placed two fingers between his lips."Surrrrrriiaall." Was the sound that came from his mouth. Rain's whistle traveled through the night. Rain's whistle was unique. His whistle could be heard by his longtime companions no matter how far from them he was. The whistling sound broke the night's silence. The Whistle caused the nocturnal creatures to open their red, green, blue, and yellow eyes to become active in the darkness. As if they were chosen to witness diabolical acts.

A stealthy foot fell one behind the other in the eastern Montana woods. Fifty naked elite men light on their feet had sprung from their hiding places. The pine trees that went up to the base of the mountain were the men's cover. The water vapor escaped from their mouths to be transformed in the cold to become puffs of smoke . Their arms jetted forward propelling them closer to their destination . The five inch serrated knife each man carried would have gleaned from the moonlight as they ran, if the moon was in view. The extremely fit men ran 5,280 feet the distance that elite marathon runners took three times the time to do. The elite men covered the ground to be in front of their second leader Rain in one minute and ten seconds.
Previously the men waited for a signal while they crouched,or stood behind pine trees. Prior to hiding themselves ,they had smeared an unidentifiable substance on their bodies. The substance seemed to look like a distinguishable blend of petroleum jelly mixed with fresh , small, chunks of aloe vera. Paradime's soldiers lattered themselves from head to toe with the strange substance. The men didn't know what the substance was. They didn't understand why they had to smear their bodies with it. The soldiers of the society heeded the commands of their second leader Rain without curiosity . The soldiers ran with their knives the moment the sound of the whistle entered their ears from a mile away.
Thump, Thump was the beating sounds of active hearts ,of fifty men at the end of their fast run. The men ran fast like dogs responding to their master. The thick green leather sack with a flexible aluminum covering the inside was pulled open by Rain. The sack rested on the damp ground. The bag sat on top of fallen decayed leaves, twigs, and faded grass. The men halted their run. The men stopped their progression to grab six two inch half circles from the opened green sack. The half orbs were pearl color with yellow and red lines. The lines were going horizontally down their centers. The half orbs had the appearance of a hard solid . The men grabbed the soft objects. Each man had the thought that the objects would be hard to the touch. The half orbs seem to resemble large cut pearls. Individuals would assume from a glance that the half orbs were hard like the gem. The objects looked and glistened like pearls . The thin pencil point horizontal lines on the strange objects glowed. The strange objects were a mystery to the men. The soldiers knew that the mystery would immediately be solved.
The soldiers were prepared for anything, and everything. Strange wasn't new to them. The golden rule the soldiers of Paradime hold high above any rule, is: you must follow commands without straying from the exact order. The men continue to grab the half orbs. The men took six each until all three-hundred were gone. Holding the half orbs, the soldiers of Paradime ran toward a lone facility in the middle of eastern forest in Montana .
Rain was standing some distance away from the bag after he had opened it. He was waiting for man fifty-one. He could hear Paradime's words as if his lips were close to his ear."Don't open the bag that only you can carry. Show no interest. Don't be dazzled by the shimmer of the objects inside. Open the bag at 9:03 PM. Don't be moved by curiosity. Cast your eyes away from them. Don't touch them. Open the bag , then move away. Your work is outside. Don't enter the facility for any reason. Give this bag to the last man. The last man has his instructions. " Paradime goes to a large blue cabinet with many drawers. He takes out a bag from one of the draws. He placed the gallon size clear plastic bag with handles on the desk near the large floor to ceiling window. Rain followed Paradime to the desk. He took the bag and was about to leave the office.
Rain stopped in the middle of the floor. " Why do the men have to be.." Paradime hand shot out and struck him. Rain almost dropped the bag that he held as he staggered . Paradime proceeded to rebuke Rain after slapping him. The bag had a puffy 12x12 inch sealed envelope with an additional old fashioned seal of wax . Rain would never open something given by Paradime meant only for the eyes of another. Rain clutches a gallon size clear plastic bag with plastic handles in his right hand. The bag had a puffy 12x12 inch sealed envelope with an additional old fashioned seal of wax . Rain would never open something given by Paradime meant for the eyes of others.
Rain took note of the substance's firm transition. It had become hard on the soldiers' skins, but maintained flexibility with their movements. No part of the men's body didn't have the mixture.Their eyes, and ear was covered with the substance . The substance that had a similar look to petroleum mixed with aloe vera . The vision , and hearing of the men remained the same. The substance consisted of Parci blood , cells, scent, hair and pheromones. The Parci was Paradime's creation from dark matter. The Parci were more than creatures. The Parci had various abilities and powers as they went from lowest rank to the highest.
The Parcis were shiny pearls look a likes ,they couldn't be touched by Rain . The Parci there in the hands of the men were low level . The half orbs were Parci, and Rain was the only man there who couldn't touch them. The dormant Parci that the soldiers held were the first in the lowest rank. The Parci acknowledged Paradime as their master. The highest level Parci poses a threat to both Paradime and Rain. The Parci obeys Paradime based on their level of intelligence and their desire to comply. Rain's touch would have awakened the Parci in the sack. The Parci would have consumed him until there was nothing left ,after Rain's touch.

Rain was against himself wearing clothing, when his men didn't have any on. He had to follow Paradime's instructions. He wanted to be there with his men doing what they were about to do. The current mission was the one where he was excluded from the majority of the forthcoming events. Walsh was the last man, the fifty-one man. They didn't speak. Rain hands Welsh the plastic bag he was holding. Welsh gives him a bomb sack in return . The bag Welsh gave had three small 4x4 inch weatherproof c4 remote detonator bombs, along with a remote control.
Welsh opened the puffy envelope as he moved towards the facility. While he ran Welsh was leaving trail trash behind him. He dropped the gallon bag after retrieving the wax sealed brown envelope . Ripping the seal he took out the envelope's contents, and then he let go of it. The envelope floated to the earth . The contents consisted of a white envelope ,a one inch clear glass jar , and a needle syringe. He had previously placed the dull side of his serrated knife in his mouth, while running . He pulled out a 3x3 inch picture, and discarded the white letter size envelope . He studied the image in the photo. Then he left the photo behind to rest in a mud puddle picture side up. The image in the photo was carved in Welsh's mind. He used only thirty seconds to remember a face.
Welsh was close to the single facility located in the middle of Montana's eastern forest. He took the needle syringe in one hand , after flicking the protection cap away with one of his fingers. He gripped the needle syringe in his right hand. His other hand held the small jar. He stuck the needle into the plastic hole in the top ,filling the syringe ,and emptied the jar. Welsh discards the jar. Taking his five inch knife from his mouth he grasped it in his left hand. clutching the knife and needle syringe in his hands he ran. Running with both items pointing towards the way he was going . Welsh's right thigh had a ring of tape around it . The tape held a small bag of the substance against his skin.
Welsh entered the facility , and began his search for the person in the photo . The night was a time for terrible acts. The night was a time for murder. The night's sky appeared to prepare itself to shed heavens tears. Dark clouds hid the moon, and stars obscuring their light. The night's gloominess set the tone for the impending doom.

Drops of dark red splattered on the five inch serrated knife as it slit the throat of the new security guard . He was one of two newly hired guards. The two men were the only guards on the premises of Winterford. Winterford was a posh private nursing home. Daniels' didn't get a chance to regret his nonchalant behavior as he argued with his wife. She argued with him about spending more time with his family . He had brushed her off by saying," Could you move away from in front of the TV ? I'm trying to watch the football game I recorded . Finally I get to see quarterback Barnard Braxton in action. You're trying to ruin my mood. I don't have enough time to argue with you! The children and you can wait. WOMAN MOVE!" Would be the last words he said to his wife two hours before he went to work. One of the fifty ,naked men coated with the thin layer of the clear substance pressed the half orb against Danials throat. He tossed his other five half orbs a little distance ahead of himself per his instructions . All of the soldiers had similar instructions. Tossing the orbs before he rushed the guard. "You can't come in here, this is a private facility." Exclaimed Daniels. The soldier sliced his throat. The half orbs were awakened with the scent of blood. Rain was the exception, by his touch he could awaken the Parci. The soldier left the Parci on the dead man's body , and went to pick up his five half orbs, to do the same thing once more.
Tentacles that were growing in size along with the Parci body. The white tentacles of the Parci were attached below Daniels bleeding slit on his neck. The growing creature's mouth opens wide to reveal three sets of shark-like razor teeth , a proboscis, and a second tongue . The pink proboscis uncoiled from the back of the first tongue to slither into Daniels' body through the opening in his neck. The Parci's eight red on black eyes with yellow irises enlarged as it gorged itself on human blood. Twenty hairy legs , ten on each side braced against the guard's dead body, as the Parci pincers brought the creature and man closer. Legs that were expanding in width and height , as the half orb elongated ,on the toppled body of the guard.
The doctors, nurses , aid, other staff and residents were in various actions in the horrendous situation. Doctor Nekel was cut down before he put his finger on the phone to dial 611 for the police. People ran in panic . Locked doors were kicked in to spare no one. The screams rang out amongst the hissing , chirping, gurgling, and fizzy noises of the Parci at various stages of growth. Peggy , one of the nurse's aids let go of her husband Mitch's wheelchair, while she pushed it as she ran. She was trying to flee , and was ditching him to save her own life . There was no escape death was inevitable for her, and many others.
The Parci were carnivorous, and once they started to feed they would consume everyone, even their handlers. The substance saved the soldiers. The Parci identified Paradime's soldiers as Parci. A five feet long Parci , with a four foot high gumdrop shaped body had opened its wide mouth on its twelve inch head showing the three sets of 130 teeth each. The Parci bit down on Tammy's head, crunching half the paraplegic skull and meat after taking a large bite. These Parci had to be led. The soldiers were their leaders when they, killed for the Parci , and gave them food.
The Parci had Paradime's instructions imprinted on them. The simple Parcis instructions by Paradime were to feed without consumption. The Parci was instructed to store and not digest the humans. The Parci above it in the creature's hierarchy was the Deftero Parci. The Deftero was a venomous Parci and 1/5 of a drop of its blood could kill all life in a ten mile radius, which includes weak beings, and Gods.
The janitor Portor was fighting one of the soldiers with a wrench. The wench contact was prevented by a kick from the soldier into Porters portly stomach. While Porter tried to catch his breath his life was ended.
Rain Placed the last C4 block on the side on the side wall of the facility. He didn't glance into the sliding doors ,nor was he tempted to do so. He could hear the sounds of screams , mad cat hissing sounds, the chirping of many birds, and sounds he couldn't identify. He knew that there was nothing he could do. Every time he would go out on a mission with his men many people died. Rain had remorse for the people when Paradime orders him to kill them, that's all he felt. The rules of Paradime didn't allow the emotions that come from remorse. Rain felt , that if Paradime ordered him to kill a thousand men in five days he wouldn't rest until he completed his mission. The voiced orders of Paradime controls Rain and moves him, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

The loud sound of classical music was playing in the room at the end of the hall. The facility had three hundred and twelve rooms, a kitchen, a recreation room, and an indoor pool. The residents' rooms were like fancy small apartments for the rich. Welsh fit muscle body ran down the hallway to the last room at the end of it, centered in the middle of a horizontal wall. He had searched for the woman in the room before it but it was empty. The hall was covered in a floral pattern gray carpet. The carpet had three five foot long clear casing lying on it. The eyes of the Parcis were slowly closing as they transitioned into casing like sausage skins to hold and carry the humans blood, meat, and bones. The meat was their reward to feast upon later, the blood and bones were for Paradime. The Parci would wait until Paradime extract the blood and bone from them before they could resume their natural forms. Them they would regurgitate the meat inside their bodies to share with other Parci in the lair on the Island beyond the Apea's sea.
The sound of classical music flooded the hallway drowning out all of the noises in the hallways, and throughout the facility. The door flew open from Welsh kick. A woman who was oblivious to what was going on outside her room was startled by the sound of the door banging the wall. Rebecca Marston dropped the book she was reading on to the floor. Her brown eyes grew wide with fear twice, as she took in a double happening. Fear from seeing a light skinned ,naked man , with blue eyes wielding a knife and a needle, and from seeing a female neck being sliced open by a man outside her open door. She saw the rest of it. Not all of it but the first few things that happened to Daniels were occurring. A woman was being slurped upon by a Parci in front of Rebecca's eyes.
Rebecca screams from the horror and shock of what she was seeing. "Don't hurt me. I don't want one of those things hurting me either." Scream Rebecca Marston. She followed the scream with a few more screams. The shock caused the pang of an oncoming heart attack to hit her heart. Another Pang hit her. Welsh threw his knife on the floor. Rebecca feebly started to scramble around the room . Welsh caught her before she could run. Welsh stabbed her heart with the needle filled with heart medication through her clothes. The medicine was mixed with another drug that induces a comatose rest. Then he did the sleeper nerve pinch on her causing her to fade into the darkness of slumber . While Rebecca was incapacitated he ripped a sandwich size bag off his outer right thigh. Welsh had securely tapped a bag of the substance to his upper thigh. He undressed Rebecca and applied the substance without thought.
Welsh yells "Close your fucking eyes." The men had finished killing everyone in the building. They paused in their tasks to echo what Welsh yelled. The men couldn't see Rebecca they were all over the facility. Every man was informed to closed their eyes. It was an order. The soldiers closed their eyes each yelling out Welsh's words. It was an order that Paradime strongly emphasized to Welsh. Paradime had his reasons. His reason had everything to do with Rain, and those fifty soldiers. Rain's and the men connections were more than human. Rain's God side could be awaken by the unseen matter that was attached to Rebecca's body. Paradime didn't want that to happen. Welsh already knew his own history so the matter didn't affect him.
The matter still attached to Rebecca ,would creep throughout the entire building, and enter the men's eyes, if they were open. Their open eyes would call out to the matter of what was inside of Rebecca. The matter attached to Rebecca wasn't hers, it belongs to what's inside of her body. The matter travels with Rebecca, and won't linger anywhere without her.
Rain is attached to the fifty men, that attachment spans a thousand years. Neither Rain's or his men realize that he's a God. Nor do they know that they've lived a thousand years, or that Rain is nine thousand years old.The matter that would enter their eyes would reveal to the men and Rain the truth of their existence.
Welsh held Rebecca close as he ran with her to the stairs , seven flight leading to the roof. The two elevators had Parci men, and dead bodies inside. Taking the stairs was nothing to Welsh. He was fast runner also. The matter would exit the building with Rebecca,as Welsh runs to his rendezvous with a helicopter. The men knew that it would take Welsh to the fast court of ten to exit the door on the facility's roof. They began to count together loudly. Welsh was shocked to see Paradime as the helicopter pilot.
The men had transported all three hundred elongated five feet flat rectangular bags, of flesh, blood and bone. The bags were the resting Parcis. The Parci evolved into long rectangular shaped bags after they had fed. This was one of the abilities the low level Parcis possessed. There were a hundred ranks in the Parci hierarchy. There are eighty different types of Parcis . The Parci origin is from dark matter. Paradime could handle some but not all Parci. Dark matter can cause Paradime and his son to lose their existence.
Rain glanced at his watch after he watched the black helicopter fly away. The helicopter held Paradime, Welsh, and Rebecca. Mark , a soldier, had reported to him, to inform him that the building was cleared. Mark left to go to the transport trucks. The men took eight minutes to complete their mission . Rain was pleased. Paradime had ordered them to be finished with the mission in thirteen minutes .
Rain wandered far from the facility. Then he took his thumb and pressed the detonator. The building exploded. At the same time the explosion happened the clouds burst with a deluge of falling water. Large rain drops fell, with the sky crying. It was as, if each drop was a tear that the heaven shed for the shameless acts that transpired. Rain cried too in remorse. He heard Paradime's voice." You have to shed your tender heart . What I demand of you won't allow you to be as such. Rain you are my vision. Rain become stronger. I'm here to give you the world. After you receive the world I have a lot more to give you." Rain though what he heard was from a past conversation. He thought Paradime's words was in his head. Actually Paradime's sent those words on the wind to comfort Rain in his own way. Those words reached his son's ears at the right time. Rain sobbed.
