Chapter 21: Wake Up.

Blink.

Baal had spent a very...very long time watching the world transform over hundreds and thousands of years. He'd seen lands rise and fall, oceans nearly dry up until he intervened, life getting extinguished down to the last members of a species. Over these eras, his heart grew colder, the only thing stopping him from becoming a true tyrant being his discussions with neighbouring overlords.

Baal had just woken up from a bottomless slumber. He didn't know how long he'd been sleeping, all that he did know was that it was a very peaceful and deserved rest. The last thing he remembered doing when he was awake was stopping a disaster-level meteorite from hitting the ocean and instead, he redirected it towards a...certain mountain. He fell asleep after protecting his domain.

Baal's human-like body emerged from a shrine-like structure. However, he left a clone of his origin form with about 50-60% of his powers in the pantheon. This was to make sure that the surrounding pokemon would know that he is still around and no one could challenge his rule while he was gone. He also left his poison mega stone with it, just in case anything occurred. After all, he could make another mega stone for himself whenever he wanted now. His strength had magnified tenfold in this time, mastering all elements but fire and flying. He felt something purposefully impacting his ability to utilise these types. He assumed that it was the other two overlords influencing his ability to master their element.

"No matter, in time, I will devour both of them," Baal spoke as he looked up to the surface of the water from the ocean floor, "Thalia, stats."

Baal, in his origin forme began moving around to finally complete his mission. He became very lax after the Deoxys incident, he slept for a while to allow species' number to replenish.

*Gulp*

[Mission Complete!]

[All Tasks have been completed, the host is now free from restrictions!]

Baal acknowledged the system, there were a few things he wanted to see before he escaped from this era or verse. Over the years, he'd made acquaintances with two parties. The Regi's and, what Baal named the inhabitants of the elven forests.

Obviously, these were lead by Regigigas and Xerneas respectively. Xerneas seemed to take the place of a Queen whereas Regigigas was more of a father-like chieftain to his people.

Baal? He was simply the Ocean's Strongest. He did not bother bringing together communities under him, nor did he bother forming his own kingdom. He only protected the ocean in its time of destruction and got rid of any nuisances to the ocean. One time, even a few level 90-95 Guzzlord's appeared in the oceans and he ended up using 2 of his armours.

The intelligent pokemon around the world gave him the title of Kaio, meaning king of the sea. In his time of slumber, there is always his subordinate around to protect the waters...Lugia. Baal and Lugia only met a couple of times. Yet because of a battle that happened, Lugia and its progeny became Guardians of the Ocean...Basically the Ocean's Security Guard.

....

I slowly transformed into my human form as I approached the elven forest, their Queen - Xerneas had a very interesting subordinate, a little green onion fairy that could travel through time. I moved slowly as I clothed myself in my armour before I heard the gentle fluttering of a set of wings. Of course, Celebi would come and pick me up. He found me the most interesting after all.

"Welcome Kaio, to Her Majesty's Domain. Her Majesty has been eagerly looking forward to seeing you since your last visit," Celebi smiled with a mischievous expression.

...

Somewhere near,

"You little devil Everette, AAAHHH, Why did you have to tell him that I was looking forward to his visit...I wonder if he'll pick up on it. AAAAH, Everette, your workload is going to double when you get back you little brat!" A woman in a regal blue dress wearing a crown of gem-encrusted antlers stuttered to herself as her face took on a red tinge.

A green, snake-like pokemon patterned with yellow regal lines stood at the woman's side smiling at her predicament.

....

Baal nodded without a second thought as he followed Celebi through the forest marvelling at the wonders of nature. The Almond-brown forest seemed like a leafy paradise. Multiple diverse herbivorous species inhabiting not just the branches but also certain hollow trees. This kept calm, natural stability in this environment. This was what made Baal admire the ruler of this domain the first time he stepped onto this mysterious land. He glanced up, through the gaps in the canopy and stared at the luminous petals of silver that speckled the sky. Sight and smell competed for his attention in this marvellous fantasy-like world. Celebi seemed to smile at his gobsmacked expression as if he was a countryside bumpkin. Technically, Baal was.

Soon, however, they reached a mass of trees that seemed to contort and morph together to form a castle-like structure. Outside the castle stood three individuals that seemed a mixture between deer and wolf. They were Virizion, Cobalian and Terrakion.

'Huh, it seems the ones I saw last time have died' Baal thought as he noticed the tinge of youth in these guardians' expressions, 'Hmm, they seem to be doing a good job...let's praise them. After all, the future belongs to the new generation.'

As Baal walked past these guards, their expressions tensed as they endured through the presence of the Ocean Lord. Even when the Lugia's came to visit their domain, they didn't feel this threatened. It was as if the pressure of the entire ocean stood in front of them.

As he walked past, he patted Cobalion on the shoulder before entering the castle,

"Good Job"

As soon as Baal entered, They all dropped down to their knees as they began sweating. They knew that Baal was going easy on them with his Aura, Everette the Celebi was lucky that he had Natural Cure as his ability. It allowed him to not feel Baal's pressure as much as long as he was within a forest-like habitat.

As soon as Baal was inside, he reeled his pressure in as it was rude to use any abilities within a ruler's domain, even if she was weaker than you. Plus, this was one of the only people Baal could actually talk to.

"Welcome back to the land of the living Baal," A Queen-like figure sat upon a throne spoke with a coquettish and teasing expression. Baal grinned back at her attempt at teasing him, he'd known her for long enough to understand that this was her Queen-like mask.

....

I looked at her again, this woman was breath-taking, although that might be because I haven't seen another woman for a few million years I digress. She wore a dark black and navy blue dress that accentuated her figure. Her hair was let down and was also of royal blue colour. it seems my ability to describe things has become pretty dull over millennia.

(A/N: Image/s of her here. Waifu incoming? Maybe? I don't know hehe)

She abruptly jumped out of her throne and ran up to me before grabbing my hands and rushing away into the forest with me. The green snake that I noticed, seemed to be her maid. This serperior-like ancient pokemon began panicking as she chased us. Unfortunately, we were both legendary pokemon. I smirked at her sudden actions as she kept dragging me through the air. Her body suddenly became much sleeker and taller, she reminded me more of a ranger-class in old-school RPG games now. She dashed through the trees and over glimmering rocks as I yawned. I only needed to talk to her and it would be better if it was

in private.

After all, I'm bored of this ancient landscape now...I want a Change of Scenery.
