THE MISSION BEGINS

When we came near the building, some people attacked us, it was so fast that we could not pull our guns. We have zero choice than to fist fight. We were ok with that, but the problem was about the element of surprise, the probability of them using firearms on us.

Those were merely pawns; we did not even have to use much of our strength. We took care of them, immobilizing them. Rajendra told me, "So, the great assassin is still in cold-blood and still fights the same. You haven't changed a bit I guess?" I replied smilingly, "Nope if you see like that, I've rusted drastically, I'm no more that rusted like you think. So, try not to think me as the same as before. I not even like to kill like before." Before he could say anything else, he was shot from behind, at the time when his guard was at its least. Boss ran after the shooter and eliminated him. We checked Rajendra's pulse but it was too late and lost.

Boss said, "We cannot mourn here anymore now, we need to move in but we'll avenge him." We went in, we found ourselves against another group this time. There were fifteen of them. My weapons were only my Kodachi and a pistol, boss had 2 pistols. We went forward, we struck them first, it was not easy though, we had to use our surroundings. We managed to take control of the situation, I got six of them whereas Boss got 5 and killed the remaining of them. We also did not come out unscathed, but a few scratches which was not a problem. After that we moved to the final floor, where this man- Rajak Dhanrai was supposed to be there.

In the final room only one man was there, he was tall and slender, attired in all black. He was also dark skinned. He shouted at us, "You rascal, assassin Vinash, had killed my brothers. Today I'm gonna do the same to you so that my brothers could enjoy you being tortured in the depths of hell." Before Boss could make a move, I stopped him. I observed the eyes of the person, it had no bloodlust, no urge to kill. Even though what the person said, his eyes said opposite to it. It asked to save him. I asked him, "Who are you?" He laughed then said, "I … I'm your death. The brother of Sunam and Brijesh Dhanrai, Rajak Dhanrai." I then laughed back, "You cannot lie to me, your eyes are not of a person with bloodlust but of a victim who just want to be rescued." He then stuttered, "What … I thought you were a bit more intelligent; did you lose your mind at your last moments?" Knowing the truth is of more priority and I had only one bullet in my gun, so I thought of a plan. I then said, "Tch… If you won't be stopping then let's have it the hard way then." I made a blank shot near his legs. He jumped, scared and was on a verge of crying, he said, "Sorry sire, I'm no Rajak, I'm just a homeless person, a person forced me into this." Boss asked him, "Who made you do such work, WHO?" He then pointed the finger towards us rather than behind us. He muttered, "He…" before he did finish his words, he was shot right in middle of the forehead. We turned behind to see the killer. To our surprise it was Rajendra who seemed to come back from the dead.
