A visit from a beauty

In the morning, even before Sheyken woke up he heard a knock on the door. He opened his eyes and saw that the sun was still playing hide and seek but would unveil itself before an hour was up. Even though the person had the decency to knock, he still woke up Falgur who he knew heard the knock by was acting like he was asleep so as not to go open the door.

He opened it and what he saw made him quickly shut it which made Falgur stand up in alert. What happened next boggled Falgurs mind. He had thought he was faster than Sheyken but he saw him go fix his bed, wash himself, and more especially brush his teeth, then put on clean pants and nothing on top. All this happened before a minute was up.

He then saw him walking up to the door with him trying to flex what muscles he thought he had on his seven-year-old body and with his chest held high opening the door. He heard a female voice laugh at the other side of the door and with Sheyken looking at the ground dejected. He then saw Salina who was looking like the morning sun that had not come up yet and instantly brightening up the room. Her wearing her ninja outfit and her wearing casual clothes made it seem like she had a twin since you could not think she could be the same person.

She laughed because Sheyken act like that made the conversation the three had that night before make him seem like just a kid trying to charm her while acting silly and not the scary little devil they thought he was.

She walked in with Alati who was looking as lovely as ever. Now that they saw them together it was obvious that they were close friends.

"I see, boys act silly from a young age."

Alati said with a giggle.

"Alati, can you wait for me downstairs. I have something I need to give the boys."

Salina said as she went by the window and looked outside. Alati sulked but left them, knowing how important it was for her not to get into conversations of people like them. The guild had taught her much about the impotence of privacy in their world.

After the door closed, the boys felt a gust of wind that moved across the room and then stopped by the walls and floor, making a vacuum-like space with them in the center.

"Now that no one can listen to us we can talk."

She said as she took out Shadow from her ring and gave him to Sheyken, making him have a smile on his face.

"That armor has more to it than meets the eye."

She said as she gave Shadow to him. She said nothing else and then looked at Falgur. She then took out a ring and gave it to him.

"That is a storage ring made to only house your armor and weapons."

She said as she gave it to Falgur who thought he heard wrong. He thought he heard her saying 'weapons' and not 'weapon'. He took the ring and looked at it. It was sky blue and looked to have black lightning going around it. He smiled mockingly at Sheyken and then put it in his left index finger.

"Pour in your Blessing into it."

Falgur tried to do what Salina told him to do and as soon as he did, he could visualize what was in it.

"The man who made your armor and weapons is the highest-ranking Craft smith in the capital. His name is Teluman Amise. He is knowing throughout the kingdom."

She said as she set down on Sheyken's bed. She then threw a small pouch that was full with something that sounded solid to Sheyken.

"The Arbo-rubru leaves did not even get the chance to go to the auction. When I presented them to the auction house, the auction master asked if he could introduce me to someone who really needed them and could not wait for the auction in order to buy them. He promised me I would get a better price than I would have in the auction."

She said as the boys went by her and set down as it seemed this was some sort of her reporting what happened.

"After some consideration since I did not want to spend time there too, I accepted the offer. We went to meet the person that same day but it turned out that person was the Queen."

Sheyken and Falgur looked shocked.

"You met the queen face to face."

Falgur asked.

"Yes, and it turns out she is a lovely person, unlike the stories we hear."

Sheyken never thought the words 'lovely person' would come out of the mouth of someone who was roasting an old man the night before.

"It seemed that someone on her family's side was sick and she needed a high-level healing portion. She could only trust herself to find the ingredients needed. That is the only information she gave me. She asked no questions about where I got the leaves and just offered me 6000 mana crystals for all of them and an introduction to the royal's craft smith. I could not refuse the offer. It was too good to be true, plus it was the Queen. One of the highest people you can be owed a favor from."

Sheyken was becoming increasingly worried about this. He never thought he would be already involved with such a person at the age he was in. Infect, he never wanted to even be involved with such a person at all. Even though it was through a third party, she would surely find out or have a suspicion that he or Falgur were involved in this if she investigated.

Middling with powerful people with him not even having a core yet was a dangerous game. Not to mention he already had to deal with Arloch who had sent him another text saying she will experiment how to cook a person alive is like on him for putting the communication diary she gave him in Ruby again. After Seduralto told him not to take threats from such individuals likely, he was getting anxious.

"After the transaction, I met the royal craft smith. He charged 5200 and that was after negotiations."

Sheyken looked at Falgur and for the first time felt his pocket feeling empty.

"He said he would not charge me anything if I could tell him the name of the person who made your armor Sheyken. He said even if he lived another lifetime, he would never manage to make such armor."

Sheyken felt a sense of pride for his master and Shadow being praised.

"Since I do not even know who made it, he asked me to ask you to go see him if you ever go to the capital. He said he will treat you as a VIP guest and make anything you ask so long as you have the materials needed and share a conversation with him."

"Mmmm, that sounds good. Having such a man of stature willing to regard me that way in the capital is great."

Salina looked at the boy who was already making friends in high places when she only had two and from this town. Teluman wanted nothing to do with her after hearing she was not the owner of Shadow.

"He said something about it being able to show you its secrets when you can channel mana into it."

Sheyken was surprised. That would mean Zararloch never told him the whole truth about Shadow.

"The same goes for you Falgur. For now, you will be about to use only 10 percent of its power. The same goes for your weapons."

Falgur only smiled.

"Thanks to all this, I was able to get what I needed too, with some of what I got being of the highest grade and without any problems too. So, I was lucky to be the one to carry out this task. I thank you."

Her saying those words made Sheyken feel tingly inside.

"In that pouch are 800 worth of mana crystals. An amount even a small mage family would die for. Please keep it that safe. Unlike your armor, mana crystals cannot be traced if stolen."

Sheyken nodded with understanding.

"Falgur, just like in Sheykens case, the armor will reveal its secrets to you when you can use mana. The only exception is that unlike Sheyken's armor, you will have to contact Teluman Amise to repair it if it gets damaged as it cannot repair itself."

Falgur nodded too.

"There is a letter in the ring on how your weapons work. One thing I should mention about your storage ring is that when you are able to use mana, you will be able to put your armor on straight from your storage space onto your body. That is why you can only put your armor into the ring as it is part of the armor."

Falgur could not help but smile after hearing that. Sheyken was envious and looked at the ring with jealous eyes. He wondered if he would be able to do such a thing with Ruby. He closed his eyes and in his mind heart put all his faith on Ruby's abilities. He would find out once he had a core.

"You should know that only high-level storage rings can do that and now that it knows your Blessing signature, only you can access what's inside it. Teluman said only a firth-tier level power can be able to break the spell he put on it and access what is inside. So, it will be useless to someone who wants to steal it."

The boys at that point were starting to understand why the man charged such a high price for his work.

"Again, Thank you for the opportunity. If you two in future need anything else, please do not hesitate to ask me. I have a feeling it will be beneficial to me too."

She said as she got up. She slightly nodded to the boys and the vacuum disappeared.

"Please get ready as the guild master asked to see the two first thing when the sun raises."

She then left the two boys. They could not help but look at Falgurs ring as they wanted to see the armor and weapons that where inside
